Antagonist is a boy named Yucca who is reincarnated and remembers all of his past lives, and has come to hate society. He's a genius and has a grudge against humankind because of all the shit they've done in the past. Wars, famine, slavery, etc.
He meets a carefree orphan named Rain in an orphanage. Yucca teaches Rain how to read and write. and Rain becomes one of Yucca's friends for reasons Yucca doesn't really understand.
So Yucca fucks him up and gives him a proposition.
Through one of his sadistic experiments, Yucca makes Rain immortal against his will and gives Rain a date thats some centuries away. He tells Rain that if he still loves humans when that date is up, to find him [Yucca] and kill him. If Rain no longer loves humans, Rain will find Yucca and they'll wipe out the world together.
The manga starts near the date. Rain has become slightly famous over being methuselah, and there's tons of bounties on him. A 14 year old girl picks up her reaper grandfather's job and goes after Rain and finds him. Only Rain is a complete dork and a doof, and she does nothing but yell at him for doing stupid things and being him.
I absolutely love it. Its my kind of twisted and sadistic, but with humor and love in it as well.
