Maybe we could give each world it's own special key that only works on the keyhole from the same world. We can just attribute them now appearing to the amount of time since the events of Kingdom Hearts, and the nature of the relationship between the worlds changing
"Any adventure is just fine with me!" Kamina exclaimed "think about it; an epic quest for a long and forgotten treasure, doesn't that sound exciting!? Sure, I have no idea what I'm going to do with treasure, but hey, this isn't about the treasure itself, it's about the search for it. An adventure like that is worth more then the treasure itself to me. Just thinking about it fills me with intense energy...we must go at once! Where's the other one, that strange looking Magnemite who's name I don't think I've heard yet?" he asked, looking around for M. Something that was a lot harder then it sounded since he had to jump up in the air to turn himself around "hey! Magnemite guy! Where are you!? Hurry up, we got an epic quest to embark on! Don't make me roast your...your...your" that that's when Kamina realized something, something so absurd the very idea of it had never even crossed his mind "dear sweet Arceus...Magnemite's don't have an ass!"
Kamina was confused "but that doesn't make any sense. It says that there's an Eevee with a light blue scarf missing. You're an Eevee with a baby blue scarf. There's a huge difference between the two! Is your entire family color blind Celes? I just thought blue scarfs was a thing your family wore for some reason, and you all wore different shades of the color. I can see why you left, it must be hard having to live with people unable to tell the difference between light blue and baby blue. Jeez, and some people call me dense" the fish ranted.
I'm just going to go ahead and get this out of the way; yes, I know that 'awakeness' isn't a word. However, I do not care. I feel that using something that sounds like a word but isn't fits with Kamina's special brand of insanity quite well
Kamina leapt up into awakeness, an old habit of his from his days before the guild. After confirming that there was in fact no one in striking distance who wanted him dead, he allowed himself to relax (well...relaxed for Kamina. The dude's pretty high strung by default, but in a more functional way). Ready to seize the day with his little itty bitty fishy fins, he splashed over the main room, where he found Celes and the Combee who's name he hadn't learned yet. That's when he heard about the kidnapped Eevee, one with a light blue scarf. Splashing his body so that he was facing Celes, he teared up a bit and said "Celes, I had no idea...all this time and I had no idea; to think that you came all this way to look for your kidnapped kin, even joining a guild to broaden your list of contacts. When we first met, I could just sense that inside your body lied a kindred spirit, one with a goal so vital that it consumed your very life. I had no idea how right I was." After he was finished crying great manly tears, he returned to his over the top hammy self "alright, it's decided! I shall help you find your missing sibling!"
Malice looked back at the magical explosion and laughed "what a stupid girl, just blowing up an old house like that. Oh I'm sure she tried to hit me, but I was just too good to get hit by such a sloppy attack and I''m talking to myself again aren't I?" she sighed as she said the last part "I really must get rid of that dreadful habit of mine, It's so unseemly. Oh well, at least no one's around to hear me. Now, I have a few things to take care of..." and with that, she vanished
Nathan was finding this whole situation pretty ironic; he was just dragged somewhere he'd never been to before by someone he barely knew to get involved with a bunch of people he didn't even know. It was just like the indecent at Guardian. Hell, if he counted his conversation with Meria's grandfather, he could also add 'outed as a Dragonite' to the list of things that both incidents shared. However he didn't have much time to dwell on this train of thought, since there were far more pressing issues to attend to, like getting this Chloris girl out of here. "Okay, I know I already said this before, but I feel that it bares repeating; we need to get out of here now. I'm still not fully convinced that the crazy lady from before is really just going to let us go, and then there's this guy...whoever he is. I can tell that he's bad news. Maybe the three of us could take him on our own, but there's a problem; her" he said while looking at Chloris "she is in no condition mentally to be around this guy if what she said is right. Whether or not she can fight, I have no doubt that she'll go after him in a frenzy if no one stops her, and we can't fight him and keep her safe at the same time. Right now; our first priority should be her safety. I came here to save a live, not to fight"
I'll tweak my post a bit; I'll have him find the Guard Armor on his way control tower.

Anyone else find it ironic that the only character with a gun is also the least likely to go into a fight guns blazing?
"You talk way too much about pointless things" Malice said to Reala "also, never explain your magic to the enemy little girl. I don't care who you or your mother are, in fact, I've already forgotten your names they were so insignificant." A new with with a topaz gem and glow appeared on her finger, suddenly a dome of stone surrounded everyone in and near the house "the boy was right you know; you really should have run when you had the chance. However I'm afraid that now it's too late. I can tell that none of you here have enough magical power to even so much as scratch a dome of stone made by the mighty-" However she was cut short by Nathan

"HAAAAA!" Sending his fist into the stone in front of him, the force of his punch made a huge gaping hole in the stone dome "magic is overrated" he quipped. However in the time it took him to say that, the hole repaired itself 'damn it!'

"...What" Malice said flatly. After she spent a few seconds gathering her wits, she sighed and said "well clearly I'm woefully unprepared. Oh well, nothing I can't fix with time" With a snap of her fingers, the dome crumbled and vanished "alright then, seems I have some more work to do" she said as she walked away from them

"Heh?" Nathen was surprised "did...did she just let us go? Just like that? All I did was punch a hole through magically reinforced stone, I don't think that would be enough to scare her off"
As Simo drew closer to the source of the explosion, he began to see less and less people running for their lives, For him it was a good sign; it meant less non combatants to worry about. Before he reached it though, he saw something far more interesting; the giant armored monster "amazing...I have to kill it!" And like that, Simo switched to battle mode. Climbing up to the roof of a nearby building, he observed his pray through the scope of his rifle 'it's limbs don't seem to be physically connected to it's torso, and based on how easily to can swing it's arms around it's body like a buzz saw, I doubt there's some kind of super thin string linking it's pieces together. That begs the question; how far away can it's arms and feet be from the main body? Also, is attacking the feet even worth it? It looks like it should be able to just float without them. Such a strange creature. Despite it's long range of motion, it's movement's seem rather clunky, kind of like a puppet. I wonder..." Simo quickly checked above the metal monster, but found nothing "yeah, I should have guessed it wouldn't be that easy. What I wonder now, is if attacking the head is the place to go...or should I aim for that heart shaped mark on it? Normally a head shot will kill just about anything, but I'm not sure about this thing. Is it's mind even in it's head? I should wait a little while, see if I can find out anything else before taking my shot"
"The only real objection I have is that we're splitting the party, which in of itself is one of the biggest taboos out there...but I guess it's safe enough" Mike said "as for this setup; eh...we aren't really specialized enough for it to make a difference yet, so I don't think it matters. Of course, in the future we'll need to plan out our party splits more carefully...that is, if we absolutely have to split up the party" Mike added
