Ash was uncharacteristically silent as they walked outside. She eyed Kai carrying Ada like he used to do all those years ago. Something wasn’t sitting right with her about all of this. She could feel something wrong in the back of her mind that she couldn’t quite place. She’d get her answers and then decide if she was just being overly cautious and was just in shock at finding her two closest friends back together as a couple after all this time.

Being careful and gentle with Ada, Kai carried her over to her desired resting spot by the benches as instructed. He smiled down to her and kissed the top of her head before he sat her down carefully on the seat. He sat down and let her cuddle up to him, his arm hooking around her shoulders to hold her close to him. He scratched his beard and looked back to the door of the gym hall. A frown formed on his face as he was in thought, right until the moment that Riley hugged him then gave him a gentle punch on the arm and began asking her questions.

Ada stepped up first and began answering Riley’s questions. Kai smiled softly as she spoke, a content little look blooming on his face as his eyes drifted closed slightly while listening to her. As he closed his eyes, he saw the angry face of Ada’s spouse that had returned from the dead and his eyes snapped open. He was inside the building in front of them all, probably anxiously awaiting Ada to return inside. He glanced down at his arm around Ada and thought about this man doing the same loving things to her as he was now and his stomach knotted into rage and despair.

Ash let her eyes travel from Ada to Kai as Ada answered Riley’s question. She saw Kai’s face and she realised that he was in a state of confusion. She worried for them both, now even more than she had moments before DJ had entered the gym hall shouting to Marc. She placed the shoebox down beside Ada as she began to speak to her, before stepping back and crossing her arms. She was mad at them both and she wasn’t sure why exactly. “I know that.” Her short sentence held an unspoken message that both Kai and Ada would know. Ash was not happy with this arrangement.

She took a small breath and turned as she saw Marc heading past them on the phone still. She watched Marc as Ada’s attentions turned fully towards Kai for the moment. Marc looked harassed. Very harassed. She let her gaze stay on him longer than she usually would have but she was more curious about him since she had seen him standing up to DJ earlier. She and Marc had always got along well enough after high school and, considering their romantic past, they were on very friendly terms all things considered. She’d have to ask him if he was alright later because she could practically feel the tension in his shoulders. Not that she expected him to open up, but she might as well offer her ear if he needed one to nip.

His eyes wandered down to Ada as she looked up to him, his hand caressed and gripped hers tightly as she slipped her fingers between his and his smile widened as she caressed his cheek. He rose his hand up with hers within it and kissed the back of her hand before resting it down on his thigh again. “I believe you didn’t know. You’re not one to go back on your word, I know that,” He took a deep, calming breath before he could speak his next words. He really wanted to smoke some MayJane but knew that Ada would kill him for even thinking it. “and that is exactly why you need to speak to him. He is your husband and those vows mean something, as does your word. He isn’t dead, that much is clear.”

His empty hand balled up into a fist on his thigh as he spoke. This was harder than he expected. “You may never have been in love with him, but he is most definitely in love with you. He deserves some answers and closure, the same way that I owed you some answers and closure for all these years. Don’t put him through what you’ve been through. No one should go through that.”

When he was done, he took a deep breath again and kissed Ada on her temple before hugging her tightly to him. Ash stopped watching Marc when she heard Kai telling Ada to talk to DJ. She hadn’t expected him to do that, she thought he would keep her huddled away all to himself for a while longer at the very least. Ash chewed on her lower lip before she relaxed her stance and walked back over to Ada as the poor woman sat there crying to her and Riley as she sat in the arms of Kai.

“Adsi, you know what you need to do. You don’t need us to tell you.” She gripped her knee gently and gave it a light squeeze before reaching back over for the shoebox and digging through it to find the bandage that Ada needed for her ankle. “We’ll get some ice on that from the bar once you’re back inside. DJ isn’t going to hurt you, so don’t freak out on him again, okay?” She crouched down in her heels and tight, little dress and set to work. Thankfully she was wearing mini shorts beneath the dress to keep her modesty as the night drew onwards. She never knew when the paparazzi would show up to hound her.

Kai and Ash both looked to Marc as he walked back over to them and began to speak to them all. “We’ll come back inside in a sec. Just getting Ada’s ankle wrapped up now.” She nodded towards the blackened and swollen limb in her hands and gave a tiny smile to Marc before busying herself with the wrapping again. Satisfied that it was tight enough, Ash stood back up and smoothed her dress down. “Okay, you should be good. We should really go back inside now like Marc asked, but don’t think you two are off the hook so easily.”

Nodding to Ash, Kai gently lifted Ada onto his lap to get a decent grip on her without hurting her. Carrying her like he had before, Kai’s mind drifted to the fact that this carrying arrangement was exactly like carrying a new bride over the threshold. He stopped mid-step before shaking his head and adjusting his grip on his Anela. “Oops, stood on a stone.” He continued on and made his way back to the gym hall doors. He’d be putting Ada down as soon as he physically could once they were inside. He may have wanted to floor Ada’s husband when he was causing her so much distress earlier but he felt awful for the poor man now.

Ash ran ahead of them to grab the door; she’d noticed Kai hesitating but didn’t think it the right time to question him. She’d steal him once Ada was busy talking to DJ because come hell or high water, that woman was talking to her newly resurrected husband whether she liked it or not. Gripping the door handle, Ash let Kai carry Ada through but she stopped Riley with a quick hand on her shoulder. “I know they didn’t give a lot of details or answers out there but let’s try not to question them too much right now. Ada is dealing with a lot right now and Kai seems out of it. Best not to push them too far, y’know?” She quickly grabbed Riley and gave her a hug. "It's good to see you. Let's head inside." Ash let Riley go inside before following her and closing the door behind herself.

Jas remained silent as Lawson had his small outburst. She completely understood where he was coming from, she’d been through the loss of a spouse to the heart of another. It was a difficult pain to process and she knew there were many more lashing outs to come. She took a breath and smiled at Lawson as he apologised again.

“Like I said, you’ve nothing to apologise for. I can understand what you’re going through all too well…” She looked towards the doors as they closed over and she sighed.

Turning as Lawson began to ask her questions, she knew he was just being polite but to help him perhaps keep his mind off of what was going on outside she would oblige him. “It’s miss now, formerly married, now divorced. It was a pretty messy end. It’s quite alright if you don’t remember me, Mr Lawson, and thank you for the compliment. I did not attend your wedding unfortunately as I work as a corporate lawyer in NYC so couldn’t get the time off. We’re relatively close but nothing excessive.” The doors opened to the hall and Jas looked over expecting to see the group returning only to see that Marc was re-entering, she hadn’t actually seen him leaving. That man had become an efficient ninja apparently. She felt bad lying to Lawson who was going through so much so considering her little joke with Ada was pretty much a moot point now, Jas decided to come clean. At least to Lawson.

“I have to be honest, Mr Lawson. I’m not actually Ada’s cousin, I’m an old friend of hers from this school. We were planning on playing a prank on everyone that used to treat me poorly ten years ago but considering the current situation it seems pretty ridiculous now in hindsight.” She tucked her hair behind her ears and shrugged her bare shoulders as her fingers smoothed her dress down. “I completely understand if you’d like for me to leave you alone. I can even go check and see if Ada is ready to speak with you?”

Just as she was done asking her question, the doors opened and the group re-entered the hall. Jas clasped her hands together in her lap and waited to see what would happen next.

@Lady Amalthea Yes ma'am. also I'll get my relations/clue sheets sorted tomorrow after I've had a sleep.
@Kingfisher It's definitely not my intention and I know if he feels attacked by me he'll definitely let me know. He and I have known each other a long time. If I'm being hostile I try to not say anything at all because I don't think it's fair. I was just answering his response with why I asked my initial question.

Edit -- Also I just sound like a bitch, so I can see where you get that from. I either use too much emotion in my replies or none at all. XD
@POOHEAD189 You didn't really make that very clear considering not one person, but multiple were confused by it.

Valona “Norsa” Norsys

Location: Middle of the road somewhere in the Gorlf Northern Territory.
Interacting With: A nosey, white haired person that smells like dog.

Valona was taken by surprise when she heard an unfamiliar voice speaking to her. But instead of looking around for the source of the noise like a normal person, she stared directly into the sky and watched something above her that clearly only she could see. “Did you find a new way to torture me? No… That sounded too far away to be you though. SHUT UP! I can’t hear anything if you keep nattering away at me!” Her hands were holding the sides of her face before slipping to cover her ears.

Screwing up her face as if to close every single part of it, Valona began to hum a song that was occasionally interrupted by her screaming “NER NER, I’M NOT LISTENING!” before she continued humming again.

She swivelled on her damp little spot on the road, her buttocks making a significant dent in the mud before she stopped spinning long enough to actually see the source of the voice she had heard. She jumped up to her feet but soon slipped face first into the mud. Her hands scrambled in the soft earth as she got herself back to her feet. Her hands gripped her quarterstaff firmly as she regained her feet and she actually hissed at the woman with the white hair.

Flailing the staff in front of her, Valona did the trick she had learned about bears that didn’t involve setting them on fire. Holding her staff above her head, she began to jump up into the air (almost like a jumping jack motion) and made herself look as big as she possibly could to try and scare this person away. She managed to successfully bounce up and down a couple of times before she landed on her rear end yet again.

Sighing, she wiped some muddy hair out of her face and glared at a spot just above the newcomer’s head. Not that she would know that Valona wasn’t staring at her but, hey, this is a narrative. “Why don’t you just go fly into the sun already?!” Her face was indignant, her jaw jutting out in what was clearly anger and her eyes shone like golden watering pools as she growled under her breath.

Then she ducked her head down and began swatting at the air all around her. “I AM SICK OF YOU!!!” She continued to rant and rave, waving her staff around at absolutely nothing before she suddenly stopped and looked around in utter surprise. “Wait wait wait wait wait…” Her voice was loud and trailed off before she whispered “Wait for it…” She held a finger up at her audience member and looked around as if everything she was looking at she was really just seeing for the first time.

Her face broke out into a bright smile and she jumped on the spot like a jack rabbit. “IT’S GONE! IT’S ACTUALLY GONE! Hold on, who in the world are you?! DO NOT COME ANY CLOSER OR I WILL HAVE TO HURT YOU!” She braced herself in a defensive position as she eyed the woman in front of her. White hair wasn’t all that common and it intrigued Valona. Peering at her, she wasn’t sure what to do next. She was so used to being alone, she had forgotten basic human interaction but she knew one thing; she didn’t like this woman’s face. Not one bit. It was too… clean and yet she smelt really bad. "Why on earth do you smell so strongly of dog?"

@POOHEAD189 Why you talking about A level apartments? Doesn't Tank live in 3B? Also, D is the basement sublevel, not A. XD

The sun was streaming in through the blinds creating slats of bright light that spread across the darkened room. The curtains framing the window kept the sun from flickering across Lana’s face but her radio alarm turning on and blasting a song that made Lana sit upright in her bed. Her eyes looked around the room wildly as she did each morning when the music started to play.

Realising that she was in her own room and that there was no one lying beside her, Lana let out a breath of relief and swung her legs over the edge of her bed letting her feet dangle, her toes brushing the carpet of her room ever so slightly. Rubbing her eyes and slapping her cheeks to waken herself up, she stretched her arms up high above her and leaned back. Slipping off of her bed as she did so, Lana crumpled onto the floor with a satisfied groan before a loud yawn interrupted the sounds of pleasure.

Jumping back up from the floor in a single motion, she bounced from foot to foot as she began to dance in her room in her t-shirt and underwear. Making her way to the bathroom, she turned the blinds, opening them, and let the full beams of light flood in as she went to have a shower and brush her teeth.

Wandering out in a cloud of steam wearing nothing but a towel on her head, Lana glanced around her now illuminated room and smiled. Today was definitely a good day! She was looking forward to the block party. It would be the first one she’d ever been to and she was making it a point to make sure that she would enjoy it. She’d never settled anywhere long enough to get to know her neighbours and even her having a roommate was a new experience for her but so far it was… okay.

The song that was playing now really suited Lana’s personality and she grinned as she began to put her underwear on, dancing all the while, her tiny hips swaying and shimmying to the music. A growl of gigantic proportions roared from her stomach and she ran her hands over her scarred skin. “Time for breakfast!” Grabbing a tight t-shirt and throwing it over her head, Lana glanced down at her less than ample chest and shrugged. She was happy with what she had and besides, Lyle was usually in his bedroom doing whatever it was he did all day, not like he would see anything.

Opening up her door, the next song from her radio blared out into the shared living space and Lana danced her way from her bedroom door towards the kitchen. She smelt something delicious and figured it must be coming from outside. She was head banging to the music and her eyes were closed as she sang along despite going out of tune a couple times but she didn’t care. That was until she saw Lyle packing up some cookies that he had clearly just finished making. “Blyad'!”

Her long, black hair was wild and unruly (as well as slightly wet) and she was in nothing but her shirt and a pair of black lace panties. She had no idea that he wouldn’t be in his room! Lana turned on her heel and ran straight back to her sanctuary. If Lyle caught sight of her, he’d notice a scar on her left buttock near to the top of her thigh that looked like a letter V.

The door slammed shut behind her as she banged her head against the wood of the door, her body slid to the ground as her face turned red in embarrassment. She buried her face between her knees and took a minute to calm the horror of the situation. Oh GOD! He’d seen her without her make-up on! She hurried around and got the basic of basic make-up on that she needed to feel comfortable, plus it would make her red face less obvious.

Happy with her work, she quickly grabbed a pair of leggings and threw them on. They were a little sheer but after what Lyle had just got an eyeful of, they were more than acceptable. Slowly opening her room door, Lana slipped back out into the living area and slunk into the kitchen again, hoping that he hadn’t seen anything. Walking to the kitchen sink, Lana grabbed a glass from the cupboard above and ran the cold tap, filling her glass. She took a drink and then sat it down on the breakfast before turning to address Lyle.

“Uh, morning Lyle. The cookies for the party today?” She leaned against the breakfast bar and drummed her fingers on the counter top behind her as she looked to Lyle with her big, deer like eyes. This was probably going to be a little awkward for one reason or another.
