Biography: Kai was born in the Hidden Leaf Village and grew up with a fairly normal childhood until he was 17 at which point he was able to fully understand the propaganda that Konoha was spreading about the Shinobi Republic. He began to ask more and more people if this propaganda was true and eventually his questions reached the top levels of the Hidden Leaf and the ANBU black-ops. It was at this point that the ANBU took it upon themselves to show him what the consequences of asking questions like those would bring. In one night, Kai's family "disappeared" and was never seen again. Kai was visited the next night by a member of the ANBU black-ops who informed him that if the questions were to continue, he would vanish from the face of the earth as well.

It was at that moment that Kai realized what consequences his questions had brought. His family had been killed because he had asked too many questions. Kai lost it and tried to attack the ANBU only to have him laugh and inform him that his fate was now sealed. The ANBU who was proficient in fire jutsu was able to badly injure him before Kai was able to knock him out. Kai knew that if he didn't leave Konoha tonight it would most likely be his last night on earth alive. Before he managed to escape, Kai took off his headband and scratched a line through the Konoha symbol and carved a message into the wall of his empty family home.

For the next few weeks, Kai was forced to stay on the run, staying one step ahead of forces loyal to Konoha who wanted him dead until one day he was too slow and found himself surrounded by Konoha shinobi who proceeded to do their best to kill him. Kai didn't stand much of a chance.

He was left for dead.

The next time Kai's eyes opened nearly two weeks later, he found himself wrapped in bandages and in nearly constant pain. A woman wearing a headband that identified herself as a member of the Shinobi Republic informed him that one of their own found him near death in the woods. She also informed him that he would have been dead if they hadn't taken drastic action to save his life. It was at this point that Kai learned that he was no longer alone in his body. The woman informed him that the legendary Eight tails now shared his body with him.

It's been nearly three years now, and although Kai has built a bond of trust with the eight tails, his anger towards Konoha and the death of his family has turned him from a once cheerful individual into someone who wishes to see justice done to those who have been wronged and to finally confront the ANBU and the leaders of Konoha. He feels that once that his goal is complete...he will finally be able to find peace.
