Death slowly looked up as they exited the portal and his eyes flashed with rage. Something had attacked his shadow creatures with power that was close to his own from what he could tell. Something similar to what he had become after his time in purgatory. Not a normal meta-human but something else.
"Death? What's wrong? Do you sense something?" War asked as he surveyed the landscape. After attacking Eden, Death had created a portal that had led them to some sort of desert like area. Death had simply told him earlier that he sensed something. But the way his eyes were flashing now...something had clearly happened.
"The destruction we unleashed upon Eden. Someone has interfered. Someone with power close to my own. The creatures I unleashed are being wiped out as we speak and the flames have gone out." Death snarled as he looked across the desert. War turned to look at him. "It appears that there is a new threat to us then."
Death nodded. "Yes. But our plans may still succeed despite what has happened. The ones who arrived on this world are not the only survivors. I can sense more of them across the stars. But this time...we will reach them first. The Valkorians will bring the glory of war to the stars again. And this time we won't be stopped.
His eyes narrowed. "The Green Lantern Corps, the Rikeli, all of them. They will face our wrath. As soon as we are done here the cleansing shall begin."
