Hello, I'm Cinna!
I'm neither a night owl nor an early bird, but some form of perpetually exhausted pigeon. I'm a night shifter in the MST time zone, and as a result, my responses may come at odd hours of the night or in the early morning.
31 years old with 15-16 years of writing experience under my belt. I like to consider myself as an advanced to novella style writer who loves, loves, loves long, detailed posts.
Muse A is a prince. He is the second born, but as his older brother has fallen ill with an unknown sickness, he is forced to be the bearer of the crown- the heir to the kingdom- and all of his parents' expectations. He resents his brother for forcing him into this role even though he knows he shouldn't be spiteful. But he didn't ask for the responsibility of one day ruling the kingdom.
One evening, Muse A runs away from his classes into the forest nearby and meets Muse B- a peasant boy who was playing there in the meadow. Neither of them cared to tell each other their names or their titles- just that they were now friends.
Over the years, Muse A begins to neglect his training to spend time with Muse B until his father catches on and forbids him from spending time outside of the palace unless being accompanied. The two friends mourn the loss of their friendship as they age.
Now adults, Muse B has become a knight and Muse A a proper prince. Much to both of their surprise, they are reunited when Muse B becomes a royal knight and a crown's-guard for Muse A who is set to take over as king within the next few years.
Obviously, this plot is open ended. I would love to find someone who would like to play Muse B and plot with me on how the reunited friends can rekindle their friendship and romance. I want something light-hearted and fluff driven. I don't mind rping smut if it comes up naturally, but this is NOT the main focus of this thread.
-In this thread I will be playing the part of Muse A -Do not respond to this search thread. Please DM me if you wish to discuss the plot and we can go from there. -I am a multi-paragraph - novella style writer, but by no means do I expect posts that long from my partners. 3-4 paragraphs is more than enough, but I tend to get carried away often and love, love, love detailed writers. -I am a night shift worker, so if it feels as though my responses come at odd times of night or during the day, this is why. I will not keep you hanging and would like a communicative partner who likes to plot OOCly when we're not writing. I can post pretty much 1-2 responses daily. I don't expect this of you though. I'm perfectly happy with 1-3 responses a week from my partners as I know we're all busy adults with lives outside of an rp website. -I am red/green colorblind, and as a result would ask that if you simply must colorcode your character's text when writing with me that it not be red or green. It's miserable to read and hurts my eyes.
First and foremost: Thank you for taking the time to read this thread. It's a little lengthy, so please bear with me.
I only write M/M pairings. I don't care who the writer on the other side of the screen is, but please be able to play a convincing male character. Also, while we're here, this search thread is trans-inclusive.
I'm searching for active partners who enjoy the written word- not necessarily in post length, but in the details provided. The Devil is always in the details, and I love a well thought out scene detailed through prose. Not just the setting, but character details, character motivations, inner monologues about how the character is feeling. Give me all of it.
That being said, I am neither a night owl nor an early bird, but some form of perpetually exhausted pigeon that has no self control but to scroll through and read while I go about my night. I'm a night shifter in the MST time zone, and as a result, my responses may come at odd hours of the night or in the early morning.
About me-
Hello, I'm Cinnamochi or Cinna if you prefer. I'm 31 years old as of writing this introduction and have about 15-16 years of writing experience under my belt. You may describe my posting style as advanced lit to novella length, but please don't let that frighten you. Though I am a wordy bitch, I can easily match my partners posting as long as you give me enough to really sink my teeth into. I love a juicy post, so equally as wordy bitches are most welcome here.
➽➽➽ Third person POV is easiest for me to write as I find writing "I did this..." or "I do that..." for my characters is too personal. It makes me feel as though I'm inserting myself into a story and that's not what I personally write to achieve at the end of a day. We're here to write as our characters and have a good time.
➽➽➽ As a cautionary forewarning to all my future RP friends, I am red/green colorblind. I ask you gently now to refrain from using such colors if you color your character's text in post with me as I will be unable to read it. I don't mind seeing these colors in photos as it's mostly a text based thing that makes me unable to really differentiate them when I see them on a screen. It's very miserable to look at; please I beg do not.
About the Roleplays- ➽➽➽ Fantasy is my favorite setting for an RP. Be that true fantasy or urban, modern fantasy. As long as the RP has SOME fantastical elements involved I will be happy. I also enjoy dystopia, cyberpunk, historical, and some slice of life settings as well. Though slice of life is certainly my least favorite of the lot, it can be interesting if done well. There doesn't need to be drama and action all of the time, but we need something to drive the plot forward or it will get stale for both of us and I would like us both to be entertained!
➽➽➽ I have some plots which I will list below, but if you don't like any of my plot hooks, then please be prepared with something of your own. Too many times I've been approached by someone who says they like nothing I have to offer and then leave me to scrounge up whatever loose change plots I have ping-ponging around my skull with no input from them on what they really like to let me know what I should be putting forward. Do not expect me to do all the work for you because that's the fastest way to lose my attention. Be prepared; be active because it's not just my story, it's one we're working on together at the end of the day.
➽➽➽ We love romance in this house. Adore it, even. I love the so-slow-it-hurts slowburn romance the most. The kind that makes you want to violently shake both of your characters and shove them in the same room and yell at them to just make out already because they're both thinking it. I don't need this to be happy, but this type of fluffy shit is what I live for to read. I can just as easily do a less slowburn romance as long as our characters aren't falling in love the second they meet on the street.
➽➽➽ I'm okay with writing smut in RPs as long as it makes sense. I can't only write smut. There needs to be substance to go along with it, and if it doesn't feel organic to the RP and the characters, I'm happy to leave it out. I don't even need it involved in the thread if you'd prefer to leave it out. That said, if we do get to that point, I will not write cheating scenes or scenes that involve non-consent in any of its flavors. These things make me uncomfortable and I ask you kindly that you respect my boundary.
➽➽➽ I prefer art/illustrations/digital art for the pictures of the threads/PMs that I do. Realistic face claims turn me off because I find it extremely weird to use someone else's face in an RP especially if the person is easily recognizable.
Some of the plots I would like to do in no particular order-
I want to play Muse A.
Muse A was once a prince, next in line to inherit his kingdom. Due to a tragedy that he had a part in playing in, he is now plagued by amnesia and what he believes are nightmares, but are actually visions from his past. Now, he was made a servant- saved from execution only because of the graciousness of the noble family that served him when he was prince under the stipulation that he now serve them instead.
Muse B is a knight. An orphan that no one spared a second glance to. He and Muse A used to be lovers before Muse A was stricken by amnesia and lost his memories of the last few years. Muse B was sent to the northern borders of the kingdom- sent out of the way to oversee the unrest at the northern borders for the last two years, and as a result, does not know of his lover's amnesia or that he is no longer the prince. When B returns to the palace a war hero, he discovers what has become of his lover and is determined to make him fall in love with him again at any cost.
I would prefer Muse B.
Muse A has always loved nature. Even though they live in an urban area, they find the time to walk to the local park every day and spend a few quiet moments enjoying the greenery and animals around them. They always relax on the same wooden bench and lately have been noticing the animals seem to have grown accustomed to their presence. In particular one beautiful, curious cat. It keeps its distance, but always appears so intelligent and sharp, watching intently with its piercing eyes.
One day Muse A brings a small bag of scraps as an offering to their new furred friend. The cat mews happily and devours the food offered to it. The following day Muse A returns with a snack and the cat is there, this time with a shiny twist of metal in its mouth. When the treats are scattered along the ground, the cat drops the paperclip - a gift - at Muse A's feet.
This ritual exchange carries on until one day, the cat doesn't show. Muse A is heartbroken, missing the therapeutic one-sided talks and charming company of their wild friend. Muse B appears, seemingly out of nowhere and sits down on the wooden bench beside a visibly distraught Muse A. Wordlessly, Muse B hands Muse A a small metal trinket, a perfect addition to Muse A's collection. Is the gesture enough to reveal the truth about Muse B? The shapeshifter had been their cat companion the entire time.
Muse A is a young prince. Raised to be the next in line for the kingship. Trained with the best tutors and mentors that the nation's wealth could provide to him. Spoiled, arrogant, haughty, aloof, could be a few words to describe the prince. Their kingdom is the largest on the continent, and has been constantly at war with demons. They believe to save the human people, their best option is for a political marriage of their son to a princess from another wealthy kingdom.
Muse B, a handsome knight- best friend of the prince, and soon to be personal guard of the prince, hides a disastrous secret from those who he holds close to him. He is a half-demon without horns. Loyal and Dutiful to a fault to the loyal family, his reputation is that of a guard dog to anyone that threatens them.
What happens when romance flares between a spoiled prince and his protective guard dog in the midst of this all?
I would prefer the role of B here.
While this plot is a little more 18+ than the rest, I would really rather focus more on the character driven aspects of the plot than anything else.
Muse A is the heir to a huge fortune and no stranger to the public eye. To avoid getting taken advantage of, they try to avoid relationships. Rather than having a string of one night stands, whenever they feel the need, they hire Muse B, a male escort who's almost their exact opposite. Once the two are spotted together, the tabloids start speculating about their relationship. Though Muse A has never actually considered starting something real with Muse B, he seems smitten, and finds a way to pop into Muse A's life even when he's not on the clock. Texts turn into more and once feelings start getting into the mix, Muse A needs to decide whether they want to risk getting played by putting their heart on the line.
I would prefer to be the Sun.
The Sun and the Moon were raised together, never far from one another. While everyone favored the Sun for their warmth and beauty, others looked upon the Moon in distaste for their cold, aloof nature. Still the Sun loved their counterpart. They were two sides to the same coin, and they always went out of their way to include the Moon where others would not.
The Moon, growing jealous of their counter has found a way to slay gods. During a celebration they were meant to attend together, they wonder what would happen if they killed the Sun to take their place.
I'd prefer to be B here.
Muse A is a prince/royal/nobleman that has never been married despite being young and handsome. He's always been a free spirit who follows his heart despite expectations of him to one day carry on his bloodline so that the kingdom he resides in may continue to prosper. His newest and cruelest game that he plays on his suitors to keep them at bay is that if the suitor can catch the feral cat and obtain the key from around its neck that matches the one that he wears around his own within the month, then he would accept their proposal. None have ever gotten close.
His parents grow tired and weary of these games, and force him to meet with their final choice of a suitor. Muse B. This whole time, A has been told that B was a beautiful noble lady they'd had past history with playing as friends even if they have little memories of this person. Muse B is a royal who is worldly and has seen many things. Muse A's parents think Muse B will interest him more than the others and give him the intellectual conversation that she seems to crave. Muse A wasn't expecting the person who arrived (Muse B)- a beautiful, educated, and well dressed man instead of a woman.
Hi, all! I'm currently desiring a M/M dark fantasy plot with a tragic, doomed romance between both main leads.
A little about me before that-
