Sorry for my absence! A Volunteering position suddenly turned into a Volunteer Leadership position I was not expecting at all so things have been hectic.

Look at you posers, having to bang dragons or sell your soul for magic when you could just play a lute for some. Anyways, here's Wonderwall. - Bards

Before you ask, yes I did indeed ask for these rolls and yes I know I've basically shot myself in the leg with a shotgun in doing so but oh well, going to have to get used to hobbling around on bloody stumps.

@Lucius Cypher Yeah, don't worry I can understand your concerns. I'm thinking of properly making a spell list for Shiroe to use and submit for approval which will act as the spells he will know for most of the RP and then him gaining more stuff from books or artifacts or whatever but having to use those pieces to actually cast a spell (ie said spells are bound to the item and Shiroe isn't as much as casting the spell as he is unlocking the gate to it can be released from the item for a short while). This is all if Shiroe doesn't end up studying magic at all which will be unlikely.

Alternatively he could come across something which "normalizes" his stats and making them wizardly. Now that I think about it though, Shiroe really isn't the type to be pulling muscle wizard shenanigans and casting fist on people. >_<
@Lucius CypherOkay that's fair although a person request, can Shiroe still have really unwizardy stats? Muscle wizard ftw
@Lucius Cypher Oh fu, I thought it was just something given to people. What should I do about my post then?
@Lucius Cypher Just to clarify, does Konosuba have a stat card that lists all the "stats" of someone or am I mixing up another anime?

There was a sense of adventure and energy bristling within Shiroe's reborn body. A powerful drive that was rarely felt in his old life. At least there was until he was told there were no actual bounties or missions to do and most of the local area had been picked clean. The lich sighed to himself as his slime familiar balanced hapazardly on his scythe. "Well, they did come here first." Shiroe justified the actions of the previous adventurers in his mind as he looked around.

He had absolutely no sense on how much staying here would actually be. While 10 Eris a night to stay in the bunkhouse didn't sound like too much, Shiroe didn't really have a measure on how easy it would be to acquire 10 Eris or if there was some denomination of currency less than an Eris. For all he knew, each monster could drop a quarter of one or something like that and all of a sudden, the 200 Eris rent for an apartment looked very, very intimidating.

But with a huff of his chest, the necromancer told himself that he would be able to get there one day. He did manage to make some pocket change from working two jobs while going to school, even if his dad beat him until Shiroe forked over some 80% or something. Of course, he had also spent many a nights sleeping on the street in the rain. Given that he no longer really felt anything, Shiroe wondered if it would be possible just to camp outside. Maybe under a tarp or something. Maybe he could summon forth a mass of bones to form a roof or something.

"Umm.... Ms... Thicc-chan... Are we allowed to stay on property but not sleep in a bunk or something?" Shiroe raised his hand and asked, Xiang's outfit clearly have an affect on his mind, "Also, is there any college that happens to specialize in the magics of Life or Death."

From what limited experience he had in this world of just how people looked at him, plus his memories of what most fantasy universes are like, necromancy is hardly a welcomed subject or art. With his luck, Shiroe would have to go hunt out some creepy wrinkly old man in a cave or graveyard. And probably get eaten by a ghoul in the process or something. Alternatively he could just pose as a medical student or study life giving magics seeing as all his spells were bastardized versions of such spells. Plus Shiroe assumed the colleges of medicine had a legal way of procuring cadavers and hopefully they wouldn't mind if one suddenly vanished.

Pulling out his adventurer card, Shiroe looked at the stats he had been given. Honestly it looked like someone tried to use his card as a number calculator, gave up half way and smashed the "random" button with a bit too much gusto. In short, his stats made no fucking sense. For some reason his highest stat was strength followed by endurance with wisdom and intelligence abysmally low for a mage. The only thing that really made sense was his luck stat that was at a patronizing "-1". "Welp, at least one of these stats is accurate." Shiroe sighed as he stowed away his card, "Probably influence the other stats as well..."

On the upside, it would mean that Shiroe would have little issue doing a physically demanding job which he assumed there were a lot of. The lady in the bikini armor did say something about groups needing strong arms and laborers. The mental image of him, a scrawny mage, being able to lift comical numbers of boxes with more easy than muscle bound men made him chuckle regardless of how unrealistic it was. As did the thought of him being a club bouncer or something. Following that train of thought, Shiroe wondered if there were even clubs in this world; taverns were a natural given but he wondered if there was anything resembling a magical night club, certainly an interesting concept it nothing else. Perhaps a future business venture once he finished schooling or got money? Speaking of which, "Um... Ms Xiang, do the colleges offer a work study program? You know, they'll wave the tuition if you work as a janitor or something on their campus?"

Shire smiled as he felt the warmth of the sun on his face. It was the start of his new fantasy life after all! A wonderful world beyond his imagination full of people to meet and places to see! Sure there were issues, but hey, it was better than his old life at least if nothing else. And surely the blessings of the God of Death was worth something?
@Cyclone Might as well do on for shits and giggles; curiosity killed the cat and all.

Daedalus

The leader of LEG10N's true identity is unknown as few have ever met the man at head of it all. Some say he is a frail old man but of limitless knowledge, others say he is young and full of tempered vigor. Some say that she is a woman of unparalleled beauty and guile, others say she's the disinherited heir who seeks revenge. Some say that Daedalus is simply an AI, others say he is some primordial energy given form. Even at the highest levels of the LEG10N's leadership, his identity is a secret and kept hidden even from them.

Regardless, Daedalus's reputation far outpaces any need of actually seeing him and is equal parts reviled, feared, and respected by friend and foe alike. His motives are unclear and no one ever knows all the parts of his ever changing plans. Seemingly random acts always come together to a dramatic conclusion that few can predict the outcome of. Few, except for Daedalus.

LEG10N is perhaps the largest antagonistic and maleficent force in active play on the galactic scene but paradoxically, little is known about it to outsiders. The LEG10N jumps to take credit for acts of both good and evil, one day claiming they organized a relief effort to malnourished refugee and the next taking credit for mowing them down in cold blood. Their plans are consonantly changing and shifting as is their moniker. While LEG10N may be the "official name", the organization has gone down under innumerable others for various reasons from the Gaoyou Corporation to Myrstrost to the Liberation Party. The only truly known fact and perhaps the thing which keeps people up the most at night is that they are not of this world.

All those who join LEG10N forfeit their souls to the Gods of the "Realm Beyond", a paralell deminesnion where all thoughts and desires, concious or unconcious, are give terrible forms

You stop crime by making people questioning wtf they're looking at.

Ability: You have the ability to force the sensation of stepping on legos on people
@Jbcool
Huh? I thought penal legions are highly renown for not being standartized in any way or sort, just ragtag bunches of scum and sinners sent to die for the Emperor in droves. Wouldn't the only discqualifier be the absence of neck on which to lock a bomb collar? If anything, a conscript that comes with his own weapon only makes it easier on the Munitorum.

No, Penal Legions have their standardized equipment from the Munitorum: a lasgun, a grenade, a knife, a bombcollar and a jumpsuit. You're forgetting that most Penal Legions allows the looting of enemy bodies and equipment hence the "disorganized, non-standardized" look you are thinking of.

Penal Legions are also raised from Penal World more often than not meaning they come giant prisons which do not allow for inmates to carry weapons for obvious reasons. When said persons are detained, their equipment and weapons are taken away and impounded so they don't get ideas of trying to use them on the prison guards. What you are thinking of is what happens when Hive Gangsters are pressed into service in dire times like during the First War for Armagedon but are not detained first.

It might be easier on the Munitorum in theory, but they're not stupid enough to give a serial killer a gun and say "don't use this while you're in prison and awaiting to be sent off to a penal legion".
