Been looking at this for a while wondering if I should jump in or not given rl things. Was wondering if there are still slots available.
It's a shame, even my eyesight's deteriorated in this form.

Arthur's Servant was standing atop one of the towers within the military compound they have chosen to reside in. While he was in a quite imposing position, it wasn't something nearly as dramatic as one would inspect. Aside from his long, black coat, the lithe Servant was also obscured in shadows, the morning sun's rays threatening to pierce through this umbral cloak.

An Archer should always be a few steps ahead of their opponents, Master. If not, then we lose the advantage of fighting at range. The Archer-class Servant leaped off the watchtower, making his way toward Arthur. That aside, it seems I won't be able to do any reasonable scouting from here. Not at this time. Because of this body, I can only fight closest to my true talents under the light of the moon, let alone scout. I'll be departing at night, after all.

Archer didn't seem too keen on speaking with his Master aloud. As a matter of fact, it's something he's never done as soon as the contract was made. To Arthur's companions, it seemed like his Servant was nothing but a muted shadow who skulked behind the Freemason. Of course, it was all for a good reason...

Houyi was ashamed of his current form.

Balancing on the topmost beam of the unfinished skyscraper was a figure garbed in black, cloaked with the very night sky, itself. To most onlookers, this figure would blend into the night. Of course, even to those with keen eyes who knew exactly what they were looking for, they wouldn't find it when gazing upon this specific being. While it was clear that he was a Servant- a Heroic Spirit drawn by the Holy Grail- the exact nature of his being remains hidden. What was apparent, however, was the glowing arc held within his hand; a bow, seemingly made out of light, itself.

A Rider-class Servant? Well, whatever it is, it shall be brought down.

The figure's eyes opened, softly glowing with the light of the moon. Imbued with moonlight, it allowed this Servant to see and track whatever was illuminated by the moon's guiding light. While it had its own limitations that sets it apart from the superior Clairvoyance, it still allowed him to spot that disc soaring through the sky. Raising his bow and pulling back on its string, a shaft of light coalescing in this Archer's hand, knocked by the bow. With one effortless motion, Archer released the arrow as it flew across the night's sky, like a shooting star.

It was an arrow released by a god among archers, though this did not grant it any intrinsic qualities on its own. Rather, the shot itself would be best described as "freakishly perfect". There were only a few archers, barely a handful in the Throne of Heroes, who would match with the skill and technique that this particular Archer displayed. Even this Archer's own concealment is incapable of hiding this flawless technique.

The arrow, however, was rather unique, as while it took the shape of one, it wasn't even an arrow at all...

It's as if this Archer had fired the Moon, itself, towards the flying vehicle.
Pyrrhus of Etryca & Rultay Denlark

The Road to Tinwe, South of Tinwarren

"... I'm honestly worried."

Pyrrhus looked at the old sign pointing out that their destination is close, his face paling just a bit. It was an odd sight for the brute of a man to look afraid, especially for one such as Pyrrhus. The Etrycan sellswod had braved many different jobs from across the world, but Orzamar was a new land to him. Perhaps the unfamiliarity of these lands scared him? Whatever the reason, Pyrrhus crossed his arms and grunted, looking to the rest of his party.

"Has anyone else been in a mine before? Because I have not."

"It's not so bad. The kobolds are quite civilized," Devie answers, stuffing a reagent bag full of what looks to be a growing collection petals and weeds. "It's a little damp, though, which is not to my liking."

"Oh, I'm not afraid of kobolds. They are small and easy to crush under my boot, like you, little gnome. What I am more afraid of is if my muscles are too big to fit in such a cramped space." Pyrrhus replied as he stroked his chin in deep thought.

Devie pursed her lips. “Hmph.” She jammed her hands in her pockets. “Maybe you ought to focus on earning the coin we’re paying you instead of your muscles.” She looked up the winding path. “Lead the way, big man.”

Pyrrhus nodded as he marched forward, though the expression on the barbarian’s face conveyed that he was genuinely concerned. “If I am too big to fit in the little mines, I guess I will just carve my way through...” Pyrrhus resolved to himself, patting the large axe strapped to his back.

How Pyrrhus intended to cut through solid rock with a mere axe is just one of the many mysteries of the multiverse.

Rultay quietly bit her lip, resisting the urge to refer to the gnome as 'little woman'. "So, li-Devie, was it? How far do you think we are to the mines proper?"

"Maybe an hour? It's a short way. I've only been to Tinwarren once, nearly a year ago now," she answered the half-orc. "I was studying the properties of orichalcum with Professor Newtman at the time. It's quite incredible, actually. With the right chemicals you can create a compound that can substitute for a wide range of reagents. The College is on the verge of some incredible breakthroughs in the study of arcana because of our work here," she said, the words spilling out of her mouth at a rapid clip.

"We think there's a huge orichalcum vein under the mountains in this area, so the College awarded Tinwarren a large grant in tools and money this past winter to help them get at it," she continued. "We were hoping the red orichalcum they found recently might be the results we were hoping for. I'm sure Professor Flexner will have an exciting report for us once we find him."

"An exciting report, huh?" Rultay almost regretted asking, the words entering one ear and out the other. "That's certainly quite... interesting." Turning to the large man in front of her, she decided to mess with him a little. "Why are you going to carve through the mines? Why not just get everybody in the mines to push down on the floor hard enough to make it go down so you can fit in?"

Pyrrhus took a glance at Rultay and the rest of the party before laughing loudly.
"Please, even with everyone else's combined might, there's no way you all can bend the earth to your will! Only I am strong enough to accomplish such a fea-..."

A metaphorical lightbulb appeared over Pyrrhus's head, a glint in his eyes revealing that he had just made an amazing revelation.

"Interesting," Rultay dryly replied. "I certainly hope this legendary strength of yours can be put to good use saving these students. Speaking of, what reason do you think might cause them to go quiet all of a sudden?" Rultay presented the question openly, curious to hear the opinion of anybody who had one.
Since the first option makes things like readied actions awkward, I'll go with Option 2

Gin Yoshiyaki

@Paradox Witch

Gin gritted his teeth angrily as the words of this Lyaeus only confirmed it was Donnie all along. Gin couldn't help but feel both disgust and rage for his old friend. Indeed, to a man like Gin, who dedicates everything he has in order to protect his loved ones, an act of betrayal like this was the worst possible crime one could commit, no matter what the circumstances.

"Yeah? Well, I'm sure he thinks what you're doing is lame..."

Gin was breathing slowly, keeping his composure as he prevented himself from lashing out at the Lyaeus. He needed to keep calm, to remain grounded. If he allowed his emotions to fully take over, then it would surely mean the end of everyone. In other words, Gin needed to keep his cool so that everyone else is able to stay cool... and surely enough, the Beast's next attack against him would be an affront to his beliefs themselves.

"... You can strike down my body, my mind, and my soul, but like hell will I allow you to break what's in my heart!"

Moving quickly, Gin placed a hand on his glasses as he began to focus. He needed to ensure that his glasses didn't break, believing the best course of action was to strengthen its own force of providence.

Firstly, he crushed the Shikigami under his control all at once, restoring a little more than a quarter of his life force into himself before transferring the life force that had been used for his previous Shikigami into his glasses, making sure to only use that amount before cutting the line before his own life force could be drained further. Effectively, Gin turned his glasses into a Shikigami, albeit with a much stronger existence than his previous Shikigami had.

Then, he stretched his other hand, pointing it to the ground as he began to channel the vast misfortune accumulated within the hot springs, converting that misfortune into fortune by utilizing his Irezumi. Gin transferred that converted energy into his glasses, empowering them further, filling them with some of the immense grudges contained within the land from the countless human lives lost to that cursed fire, turning them into an accumulation of their hopes and dreams.

Thirdly, Gin began to copy some of his own self into his glasses, placing everything that made him human within them; his convictions and beliefs. His anger and motivation. His hopes and fears. Most importantly, however, Gin transferred his own stubborn unyielding resolve, the determination he has as a man to overcome all seemingly insurmountable odds, his own ability to defy fate into his glasses.

And last of all, Gin hollered a rallying cry, both to his shades as well as to everyone fighting alongside him...

"We are bound together not by chains or obligations, but a universal belief to live on as our own selves! As humans, we will continue to fight for what we believe is our own freedom, not one imposed by the likes of a beast! We shall fight to remain as our own selves! YAKUZA, ASSEMBLE!"

Whether Gin's shades would grow its own pair of glasses, evolve into a greater form, or just explode was beyond him... so long as his heart remains unbroken, he will continue to stand tall, shouldering whatever consequences his actions may entail.

Gin smiled proudly as he had managed to rally everyone to his cause. Immense stores of coolness surged through his body as he seemed more imposing than before. Indeed, to lead such a large group of heroes filled Gin with so much cool power, it was almost overwhelming. He wasn't too far from reaching maximum levels of cool. If Chiron were here, Gin was sure his sensei would be proud of what he has accomplished...

When the Lyaeus arrived, however, Gin's smile had began to falter.

"Donnie... it's you?"

Before he awaited a reply, however, the air within the hot springs began to grow rather heavy. The Lyaeus casting its mental interference into the spring had begun to drive everyone within mad, as if regressing them to their more primal nature. Another began to shift the world around the springs as Gin felt a feeling of separation from the world. And another was doing... something worth noting. Ah, at least another one of Chiron's students- Gin wouldn't dare call himself this man's peer just yet- was taking care of that.

Still, however, the madness being cast on the inhabitants of the spring would prevent everyone whose minds aren't as steeled as Lancer from acting at all, at best. At worst, it would result in... something unpleasant, probably. Gin felt it, as well, a sort of pressure forcing him to rave like a crazed beast. Of course, acting without control, with reckless abandon, was something Gin wasn't too keen on; to him, the idea sounded very lame.

And when it comes to things as lame as this, there was only one thing Gin could do. Gritting his teeth and clenching his fists, a single phrase seethed from the Yakuza boss's teeth, one that one of this spring's occupants was very familiar with.

"R-rule sixteen... s-struggle."

And so Gin began to struggle, wrestling over the control of his own mind. This mental interference was great, but his own presence was even greater. The only thing keeping him from going mad is the idea that he was cooler than this regression. Gin began to force himself to be at his coolest possible as a means of fighting off this madness. Of course, that meant that he needed to strike an imposing stance. This meant he needed to do one of the coolest things he could, at the moment; Gin needed to flex.

Flexing with all his might, Gin growled with much intensity. The very idea of him fighting back against this maddening spell out of pure willpower, alone, was pretty damn cool, cool enough to empower him even further. The seams of his sleeves began to slowly pop off as his coat struggled to contain Gin's continuously growing physique. His muscles were filled with Gin's latent power, with his own coolness, which was too much to contain. With a mighty war cry, the Gang-star flexed as hard as he could ever imagine, his massive arms popping out from the prison that was his coat sleeves, giving him a much cooler appearance, further empowering the mob boss. Biceps, triceps, deltoids, all exploding outward, glistening with the sweat attained from this man's own struggles. If anything, Gin made it look like he wasn't even struggling at all, as if it were second nature...

... and it's all because it was part of his training.

Taking a deep breath, Gin began to shout an order to all his bespectacled allies. It was a simple one, but it still carried the weight of a Yakuza boss's command.

"CHILL OUT!"

FUJIMURA

"... Chiron? What's going on? Chiron?! CHIROOOOOON!"

Something was wrong. Something was very wrong. It's as if the consequences of the war, the countless misdeeds caused by all those who have participated in this massacre, all accumulated to this one specific event. Of course, with how careless everyone has been during this war, it only made sense that something beyond everyone's control would stir from its slumber. Everyone in Fuyuki had most likely felt it. FUJIMURA was no exception.

Rushing over to the hot springs at speeds far beyond that of a normal man, FUJIMURA was frantic in reaching the others before it was too late. Of course, if they have felt it too, they would have had a similar reaction that FUJIMURA himself had... which was exactly what he was worried about. Because whatever his Servant, whatever Chiron had told him, it would mean that perhaps their most obvious reaction would lead to everyone's destruction... Bursting through the doors and into the room where all the participants of the Holy Grail War had gathered for the meeting, FUJIMURA brought his hands up in an attempt to get everyone's attention.

"Stop! Halt! Whatever you all do, don't blow up the pub!" Bending over and gasping for breath as he placed his hands on his knees, FUJIMURA took his time getting back his bearing as he tried to make an effort to explain what's going on.

"Whatever's in there... whatever the hell that woke up, that broke every damn thing in this city... the only thing that's stoppin' it is that cave. Archer... he's tryin' his best to hold it back, but he's havin' a hard time doin' just that. Now, I don't know who most of ya are, and to tha ones I've 'eard about, I only have a few angry words to exchange, but... that thing out there, in that cave... that's beyond whatever damn war we're fightin'. If that thing is set lose, then... it's over. This war, this city, everything...

"So I must ask, to all of ya... I need yer help. Archer needs yer help. Fuyuki needs yer help. Whatever's in that cave, the only thing we could do now is help Archer seal it... 'cause if, and when, it comes out, I... I don't know. Even if we, by some miracle, manage to stop it after it emerges, Fuyuki will still be... "

FUJIMURA... no, Gin began to stand tall. The idea of losing his entire city to this beast made his knees weak and his arms heavy. Imagining such an event to happen filled Gin with so much dread that he felt like he'd crumble underneath all that weight. All that pressure, placed on him, to protect his own home. Despite this all, however, he still continued to stand tall. In the face of adversity, of overwhelming odds, Gin does not desire to falter, no matter how seemingly hopeless the situation seems to be or how tilted the odds are. Truly, Gin tried his best to represent the greatest example of humankind; to overcome all obstacles.

And besides, looking wimpy about it all will probably be uncool, anyways.

"I, Gin Yoshiyaki, protector of Fuyuki, ask to those who call themselves heroes, those shining beacons of humanity, as well as to those who had called upon such great existences... to fight alongside me and stop this threat from emerging from that cave! This isn't something that we can't be scattered or alone for! We must stand together, as humankind against this thing that seeks to overwrite us all! Whatever this city had to offer you all, whether it was the promise of a wish or just a playground for your whims... all of that will be lost if this thing gets out of its cave... and it won't stop there. We are humanity's last stand!

"So to everyone who wishes to help me save this city and stand by my side, put your glasses on and let's get to it!"
