The only real limitation regarding a team I can think of that might cause a problem is let's just stick to secondary evolutions and below. But if you mean as in what you can have/catch or whatnot let's just have it be you can catch what you see in Alola. This here might help more, Pokearth.

Your team can consists of Pokemon from other Regions though if your character came from another one to Alola, they just gotta fit into your backstory is all! :)

That's totally do able! Kukui would totally sign up Io for that and I'm sure he wouldn't say no to the professor, even if he doesn't want to do it at first!

Have you thought about having Aria your Swablu be a shiny one? Io is an assistant researcher on Regional Variations, and he could make an assumption that Swablu is just that a regional variation and then they stick together, even though... they won't get along at first. I mean, Io would travel for research purposes only, I'd like to think.

Walking On Water: An Alolan Adventure!

Hello and welcome to Walking On Water: An Alolan Adventure! I'm your GM, Denny! If you think that walking on water is an impossible task then you are in the right place! There might be obstacles out there that may seem or even be impossible, but the point is to never give up! Come and adventure with us as we journey through the Alola Region finding ourselves, making new friends, taking on impossible tasks, and challenging ourselves to the open world!

If interested in possibly participating and joining us on this adventure please feel free to apply with a character below! I am looking for only 3 others to join me on this adventure making it a total of 4 including myself. This isn't a first come, first serve kind of deal, it's more of a see how well our characters would mesh and if they would actually travel with one another.

Personality: King Augustus Tales, better known as Auggie, is a very posh Pokemon. He isn't much for battling as he is for showing off. The purple Pokemon loves to showcase himself in a way that outshines others, even if it means not listening to his trainer. Auggie is a good Pokemon at heart, but his narcissistic attitude and ego often get in the way.

Personality: Io is a very quiet and reserved person who doesn't have very much to say unless asked. He is keen and intelligent, coming from a very big family on research. His specific area of study is that of the regional variations found throughout the world. The young researcher can often be seen as somber and distant as he is always lost in his own train of thought and day dreaming about the world around him.

Io has been told he has a very cold aura around him even though he is from the Alola Region. He tries his best to showcase a friendly and personable attitude but often comes off as extremely awkward creepy.

Appearance: Growing up in Alola with his parents and ancestry being native to the islands, Ioane has been given the sun-kissed skin. He is tall, dark, and handsome. He has a head full of messy chocolate hair with a pair of piercing copper-colored eyes. He has a very chiseled face with a protruding chin. His physique is lengthy, lean, and full of muscle having spent most of his childhood swimming and running around the beaches and oceans of the tropical islands.

Often told he has an overall attractiveness but a grim and unsmiling face, he tries his best to be more open and appealing to others.
