Avatar: Order of the White Lotus Interest Check

Eight years have passed since the death of Avatar Ria of the Earth Kingdom, and rumors of the next Avatar have begun appearing throughout the Fire Nation. Children bending more than just fire have spread and it's up to the Order of the White Lotus, having evolved from more than just a secret society in the past few centuries, to find, protect, and assist the next Avatar.

The White Lotus has sent out parties to investigate these rumors discretely all over the Fire Nation, but they aren't the only ones vying for the child. Rumors of Fire Nation extremists, Earth Kingdom assassins, and other secret societies have sprung in the wake of the Avatar spotting.

As a search party consisting of driven, up-and-coming members of the White Lotus it's your job to find the Avatar before they fall into the wrong hands.

Hi, I'm looking for three others for a small Avatar roleplay. It should be a pretty straightforward adventure, where we're a young group of White Lotus members searching for the Avatar who obviously hit bumps along the way. Our characters will be one of the many small squads searching throughout the Fire Nation.

The three other characters I'm looking for are benders (Water, Earth, and Fire). I have an idea for my own character which will be an Airbender. If bending doesn't interest you though, totally free to have a non-bender part of the squad as well. I'll mention here that this roleplay is roughly a century or two from The Legend of Korra.

I'm trying to keep this pretty small as possible, but looking for fun, dedicated partners. If you're interested, I'll share a little CS you can fill out and I'll take a look. This isn't a first come, first serve kind of deal. Moreso, what characters would mesh well and help develop the story!

Appearance Details

Currently flaunting a scruffy, unshaven face and a head of messy, tossed dirty blonde hair. Staggering with a frame of five feet and nine inches, Dash has lost his beer gut that came along with the rest of his teacher physique for a more aesthetic look (all thanks to the cardio training the zombies bring when you're running for your life). These days his fashion is less patterned button ups and ties for a more neutral look with solid colored shirts, sweaters, and a pair of jeans or chinos.

Characterization

Before the world went to hell, Dash was a pretty simple-minded man. He lived life as easily as possible, following the straight and narrow, cutting corners when it made sense but for the most part never diverting the path before him. Known for being a kindhearted teacher who ruled the classroom with respect and lighthearted fun, he carried that over into the dark aftermath of the zombie outbreak. He does his best to keep his levelheadedness, but remembering that since the world isn't what it used to be, he needs to be more realistic with his choices, knowing that every step he take could really be his last.

Dash was born and raised in Rushford, never expressing a desire to really see any other part of the world. He attended the University of Dayton, earning a degree in Adolescence to Young Adult Education, where he went through the rites of passage of college. Dash partied, he broke hearts, had his heart broken a few times, studied abroad for a semester at the request of his mother, and even ended up on the local news for running a charity 5K for one of his friend's cancer treatment. After college, Dash returned to Rushford and got a job at the local middle school where he had attended growing up. His life was simple, he worked during the days, drank with his friends on his off hours and the weekends, and attended family dinners where his mother attempted to play match-maker with the locals he knew all too well and where his father nagged him about his complacency in life. Now with the world having flipped upside down, Dash was in an ever-changing stage of life that wasn't as simple as he was used to, having to change himself with the times.

Inventory

- Journal: A notebook full of notes and letters to keep a bit of constant sanity in his life.
- Pocket knife: A simple pocketknife, to be honest isn't as useful as you'd think, more for a show of intimidation.
- Flashlight: A solar powered flashlight, dimly lights up, but lasts long periods of time.

Small Group Naruto Roleplay

Thanks for the interest y'all!

For this roleplay there are two ways I'm thinking of starting. I wanted to throw these ideas out there to see if it would interest you still.

First off would be: To start as a new team who is starting their Chunin Exams, to help us build relationships and a backbone for the dynamics, and then hit a timeskip to start their real adventures as young adults. This will give us the ability to develop things in-roleplay.

Second idea would be: To skip that backstory and start off as young adults already and fill in the backstory as we go on. This will require us to do more chatting in OOC to figure out how our characters all see each other and how they feel towards one another.

Both ideas aren't far off and again, leave a lot of wiggle room for ideas from you.

If this still interests the four of you (or anyone else), feel free to post a character sheet down below. I'll share a basic template, but you can always jazz it up if you'd like to add anything else!

I'll be looking at coheision as a whole to see which two ninjas will end up being in the finals! Again, looking for fun dynamics that will lead to a lot of interesting character development!
