Was Raven’s plan audacious or asinine? After a moment’s contemplation Ashara decided it was both. Was it bold and reckless to send a bunch of soldiers into a heavily defended region in modified escape pods? Definitely. Worse yet there was no room for a Plan B. If things went sideways, and Ashara was willing to bet it would, they would be on their own. This was what happened when those without real military training were put in command. But what was done was done and there was nothing Ashara could do about it. And who knew, perhaps she would be pleasantly surprised.

It was with these thoughts in mind that Ashara regarded her available gear. Should she wear her full suit of armor? Her gut told her that less would be better, but could she trust what her instincts were telling her? The armor was there to protect her from fire and, while she would certainly prefer to not get shot in the first place, having more armor was usually better while defending a position. She reached for her armor, but hesitated. Of course chances were that if she actually got shot her light armor wouldn’t do her any good anyways. The thought had her scowling and pulling away, only to pause a second later. Her armor would help protect her from shrapnel caused by explosives. She reached for her armor again, only to pause yet again as she considered something else. They were supposed to be fighting comparably lesser soldiers. Perhaps mobility was going to be more important than protection. But she wanted some armor. Making up her mind she grabbed the chest piece of her armor, she would cover her torso but leave the arms and legs of her armor behind. She then grabbed her two pistols and carbine. Her hand covered over her force pike, uncertainty over whether or not it would actually fit in an escape pod staying her hand.

“That’s asking for bad luck.” The comment drew Ashara’s attention away from her force pike and to a cluster of soldiers. One had applied tape to his boots and was writing his blood type onto the tape.

“It’s smart.” Ashara countered as she approached the trio of soldiers. “Don’t leave your well being up to luck.” She gave the soldier with taped boots and nod. “At least not when you have the capacity to stack the deck in your favor.”

“There is no luck, only the Force.” One of the soldiers said. Clearly he had been speaking to some of the Jedi.

“And yet the Jedi make a point of deflecting incoming fire with their lightsabers” Ashara countered. “I’d rather have a level-headed comrade watching my back then rely on something as fickle as the Force any day.” As much as the operation’s plan made her uneasy, she couldn’t let any of that uncertainly show itself to her fellow soldiers. Privates tended to suffer when their sergeants became antsy. “Now get back to your preparations. We don’t have much time till we depart.”

“Yes sir.” The soldiers said in unison. Ashara gave them one last nod before following her own advice, putting her utility belt on and strapping grabbing her force pike. She’d make room for it in the escape pod.

A comely face and form fitting, almost roguish styled, clothing are the first things people tend to notice about Ashara’s appearance. Her auburn hair is almost always kept in a ponytail, braid, or some sort of bun. She commonly wears a dark trench coat, often simply pulling it over her shoulders without putting her arms through the sleeves, especially when she expects trouble as it makes it easier to remove quickly.

Skills/Abilities:

• - Blasters: As part of her training to become a Senate Guard, Ashara has received extensive training in the use of blasters. She has hands on experience with many different kinds of blasters, with the notable exception being long range rifles. She is especially skilled with blaster pistols, which she will commonly duel wield.
• - Investigation: Given her background in the Coruscant Security Force and Senate Guard it should be no surprise that she has experience in detective work. She knows what to look for, how to look for it, and has the tools necessary to do the job.
• - Melee Combat: Ashara’s was trained in the use of a force pike and hijkata martial arts, both of which she used extensively while on the job. She also knows her way around vibroswords and knives, though she certainly prefers a force pike other them.
• - Acting: While not a good enough to act as a profession, Ashara can fool people consistently enough to consider it a useful skill. She can spin tales and fake emotion easily enough.
• - Infiltration: Not to be mistaken with stealth, although it does incorporate some elements of stealth, Ashara is fairly skilled at infiltrating locations that would otherwise be denied with her. This is done through a combination of acting, disguise, and sneaking. It is important to note that her skillset is more geared towards tricking others to either let her in or not pay attention to her then to simply sneak in.
• - Untapped Force Potential: What Ashara believes to be good instincts and incredible luck is actually her force sensitivity. While untrained and mostly dormant, it still gives her a few perks.

Personality:

A smart, strategic thinker, Ashara is commonly motivated by a strong desire to learn new things, to broaden her mind, and sate her curiosity. She has a great degree of emotional control and self-discipline; rarely do her emotions sway her into making the wrong decision. She likes things she can control, but also loves the challenge of learning new things, especially those related to the mind. She has the strength to be professional and a gifted student. She uses her brain over instincts, receiving information rationally and logically; when she listens to her instincts she always makes sure to back them up with cold hard facts. She is very inquisitive and resourceful in a crisis, but commonly doesn't trust others to get things done for her and often takes on everything herself.

Others commonly misinterpret her calm and collected nature as cold and uninterested, although this couldn’t be further from the truth. She commonly acts on compassion and a general sense of benevolence; those who know her find her to possess a warm personality. She tries to concentrate on what is up to her and under her control, but at times can become frustrated if she finds her control in a given situation slipping. She can lose a battle or two, but the loss of control from losing the war would be devastating to her.

Competition is a great passion of hers, especially when she is involved in one as a member of a team. She finds the fact that, should she lose, it won't be entirely her fault and that she'll have help cleaning up in the aftermath a great relief. History:

Born to a middle class family on Coruscant, Ashara spent most of her early years in the comparably “good” levels of Coruscant. From an early age she seemed to possess incredibly good instincts, which were in reality her connection to the force manifesting itself. When her “instincts” were right she benefited greatly, however they weren’t always right. From an early age she learned to analyze what her instincts were telling her, so that she would know when to follow them or not. This would serve her greatly later in life.

While she had grown up in one the better parts of Coruscant, she had been close enough to get a taste of the lower levels. The crime and suffering had been enough to encourage her to pursue a career with the Coruscant Security Force. It was here that her instincts, backed by her analytical mind, helped her the most. Within a few years she had garnered the attention of the Senate Guard. While initially reluctant to act, as she stated, “as the bodyguard of self indulgent fools”, in time she decided that she could do more good there then patrolling the streets.

She struggled in the Senate Guard for the first few years; they emphasized cold hard facts, something that didn’t mesh very well with her childhood and early career. Even so she adapted and found a happy medium behind instinct and evidence. Once she had done that a promotion to commander had followed closely behind.

The Senate, desiring a report that would lack the prejudices of one made by a member of the army, dispatched Ashara and her team to view the battle of Serroco. It was pure luck, or perhaps destiny, that spared her camp a nuclear incineration. She was utterly helpless as she watched the cities of Serroco destroyed. Her team, along with a handful of Republic troopers, hid as the Mandalorians mopped up the rest of the resistance. Later they were able to convince a smuggler to give them a ride off planet. Even then it had been a close thing. Disgusted with how little she felt she was doing, Ashara promptly joined IRSOG, trading the rank as commander in the Senate Guard for sergeant in the army.

@HeySeuss I had a question about when the RP starts. At the top of the OP the date is given as '63, but in the OOC info section you state that it starts right after Cathar, which was in '73. Could you clarify this for me? Thanks.
