Finished.

Looks good. While Punisher is a PC, Byrd hasn't made a post yet (and he made the character sheet about a month ago), so you are good on that front.
Player Name: Dedonus
Character You Wish To Play: Clint Barton, also known as Hawkeye
Moral Alignment: Hero.
Affiliation: S.H.I.E.L.D.
Character Origin & Backstory:
Clinton Barton was born to a troubled family (and that’s putting it kindly) in Waverly, Iowa. His father, Harold, was a chronic alcoholic who would beat Clint’s mother, his brother, Barney, and Clint himself. His mother was no better, as she was withdrawn and unsympathetic, seeing her husband’s abuse of her children as a victory because she was not the one at the receiving ends of Harold Barton’s blows. However, tragedy struck (or poetic justice, as Comic Vine describes it), when both Mr. and Mrs. Barton died in a car accident while Harold Barton was well over the lawful BAC.

As a result of their parents’ deaths, Clint and Barney were placed into the foster system. The Barton boys, as they were called, jumped from foster home to foster home until they were received by a certain Buck Chisholm. Unlike the previous foster homes, the two Barton boys felt welcomed and desired in the Chisholm residence. In fact, Buck and his friend, Jacques Duquesne, even allowed the two Barton boys to participate and even train for Renaissance fairs (or faires, as Buck and Jacques put it). Clint got particular attention from the two friends, as they saw real potential in Clint’s archery ability, much to the chagrin of his brother, Barney, who felt that Clint was now absorbing all the lime light from their new foster parent. Things began to look good for Clint.

That was, until a few years later Clint stumbled upon Buck and Jacques’ scheme of ripping off the fair. The two friends discovered that Clint was privy to the plot and they tried to get him to remain silent. When Clint refused, as it was the ‘right’ thing to do, Buck and Jacques brutalized him and left him for dead. If it was not for one of the other Renaissance fair actors finding the young Barton boy that night, Clint might have died that night. Once this abuse was reported to child services, the Barton boys were immediately removed from the Chisholm custody (Buck and Jacques had gone on the run prior to this) and they were placed in another foster home.

As time passed, Clint and Barney grew further apart from each other since Barney believed that Clint had betrayed their former foster parent, even though Barney was not receiving as much attention from them as Clint was. Once they went to college, they went their separate ways. Clint attended the University of Iowa (the Hawkeyes!) and continued to practice his archery skills, even joining a club team while at the University of Iowa. After he graduated from college, he was approached by S.H.I.E.L.D. and [SECTION REDACTED – S.H.I.E.L.D. PRIVACY].

Powers and Abilities:
-Master Archer: If anyone could string Odysseus’ bow, Hawkeye would be the one to do it. Through practice and dedication, Hawkeye has mastered the art of archery, allowing him to make shots that normal people could never make.

-“Bottomless Quiver”: From Taser-Arrows to Ice-Arrows to Boomerang Arrows (just for the laughs), with the resources at Clint’s disposal due to his employment at S.H.I.E.L.D., there is no limit to the kinds (and number) of arrows that Clint can use.

-Peak Human Endurance and Strength: Clint, due to his S.H.IE.L.D. training, is a fit and strong as any modern athlete. While this might not be enough to overcome superhumans, Clint is athletic enough to overcome the average person.

-Expert Acrobat: Combined with his S.H.I.E.L.D. conditioning, Hawkeye can perform acrobatic feats that most ‘normal’ people could only dream of completing. Again, just like his strength, his acrobatic skills are limited by what a fit athletic could accomplish.

Weaknesses:
-Normal Human: Hawkeye cannot take on another superhuman strength-for-strength.

-“I don’t kill”: Hawkeye follows the “Good Guy Code”. Unless it is absolutely necessary, Hawkeye never goes for the kill. Hawkeye has a record in S.H.I.E.L.D. for the number of targets that he has brought in alive.

Sample Story Arcs:
-Mockingbird: Since I figure that Black Widow would be a too ‘popular’ character to NPC at this point, I figured Mockingbird would do nicely in Black Widow’s stead.

-Hawkeye will allow me to have some direct control over S.H.I.E.L.D., which, as the GM, I probably should have.

-[WEST COAST] AVENGERS! ASSEMBLE! / Thunderbolts

Sample Post:
Hawkeye and Mockingbird stood waiting in the briefing room. These two S.H.I.E.L.D. agents stood out like a sore thumb amongst the group of the other agents, since they wore colorful costumes instead of the standard gray and black shades that the other agents usually wore. Hawkeye’s attire event stood out even more than Mockingbird’s because his costume was almost entirely purple, while the later at least had dark blue accenting the white portion of her outfit. “Hey, it helps prevent friendly-fire!” Hawkeye would usually say in his defense of their fashion decisions. But in spite of the flamboyance of their apparel, Clint and Bobbi still got the job done.

Suddenly, another agent walked into the briefing room, holding several folders that he intended to issue out to the others once he had entered. Once the files and folders were passed around, the man clicked a button on a small remote that he held in his hand, causing the screen behind himself to activate. “Here is your next assignment, ladies and gentlemen.” Agent Coulson announced to his fellow agents with a confident, but calm voice. “This is David Cannon. While we do not yet know whether the X-Gene granted him powers or if he used some other means, Mr. Cannon is capable of creating a localized tornado around himself. Local authorities have been unable to stop him, so it is up to us to apprehend him. Are there any questions before we set out?”

“I have one.” Hawkeye yelled out, grinning at what he intended to say, “Are we about ready to go on a man hunt after the Tasmanian Devil?”

“Any other questions?” Rolling his eyes, Coulson obviously ignored Hawkeye’s remark about how the powers of this supervillain mirrored the abilities of the Warner Bros. cartoon character. “If not, everyone is dismissed.”
<Snipped quote by Nightraider>

And please... don't introduce X-Force, yet.

@Nightraider I'm assuming those associations are more to stay in character with Deadpool rather than things that he has already been part of, right?

Also, I just thought up what to use for Hawkeye's origin story in place of a traveling circus! So perfect too!
I'll try to get a post up tonight at the earliest, tomorrow hopefully at the latest.

Edit: I made a post one of my other RP's and created a Hawkeye CS in another. Posts for this one are up next.
Gosh. Whenever I write a post for one of my characters, sometimes it just seem like they keep going and going. >.<

Aubrey Adkins

I laid in my bed, staring at my bedroom’s ceiling. When something bad was imminent, you sometimes just cannot muster any motivation to do anything. That sick feeling in your stomach that makes you feel uneasy. That is how I felt, since I knew my roommates would be home any minute now and they were about to get a rude awakening, that their metahuman roommate happens also to be an eight-legged freak. What was I supposed to do? I didn’t have my power nullifier, so I can’t just hide it. Also, even if I would run away, my friends would just look for me anyways. No way out of this one.

“That’s quite a piece of work, considering you do not have the weaving capabilities that I do. I guess I could give you an honorable mention.” God darn it. Not her again. And what the heck was Athena mumbling about this time?

When I looked down towards the Greek ‘goddess’, I realized what she was talking about when she mentioned the ‘piece of work’. While I had been idly staring up at the ceiling, my spider legs instinctively wove a web. And it wasn’t a cobweb either, but rather one of those neat (I’m talking about orderly, not cool) webs that some spiders make. But at the same time, it’s gross, if you would think about it. I mean, it was created from a substance secreted from my own body. Thank God that metahuman that helped me back in Lost Haven cannot see me now. He probably wouldn’t let me hear the end of it.

Immediately, I ripped the spider-web apart with my legs. Then I flipped myself over, reorienting my body so that I would be laying down on my stomach and facing Athena face-first.

“Didn’t I tell you to not come back?” I crossed my arms underneath myself, propping up my upper body, as I questioned the Greek ‘goddess’ of Wisdom.

“Didn’t I say I would be back?” She said with a coil smile. “I thought you might need some help readjusting to your, well, new form.”

“Why would I want you…” I began to say, but I stopped myself when I realized something. After I made the realization, I started questioning her again. “Did you know that this was going to happen?”

“Why, of course I did. Didn’t you?” It almost seemed like she was surprised that I didn’t know that I would eventually turn this spider-centaur thing.

“Of course I didn’t know! How the hell was I supposed to know that I would devolve into this, this monstrosity?”

“Well you did get your powers from a metahuman who had a drideresque appearance.” Athena now crossed her arms, almost as if she was scolding a child for doing something that she should have known better to have done. “Isn’t it obvious that eventually you would take on a similar form?” Now she’s starting to sound like one of those all-A’s know-it-alls who believe that they are on a level of intelligence far beyond that of a ‘normal’ person. Figures from someone who supposed to be the Greek ‘goddess’ of Wisdom.

“Okay, it doesn’t matter whether I should have anticipated this happening. What does matter is do you know how to fix it?” What I just said made a giant grin appear across Athena’s face.

“Oh, I thought you were the bold young lady who didn’t want my help?” Athena then pulled something out from a hidden pocket or pouch. She extended her hand out straight, dangling the device before my face, just as one would entice a mule with a carrot.

“Did you have that this whole time? Hand it over!”

“Oh, I thought you didn’t want to ‘play superhero’ anymore?”

“Just hand it over!” I have reached my limit on my patience several hours ago. I had zero intent on playing any games. It wasn’t that I wanted to ‘play superhero’ anymore. I wanted to be able to actually interact with the outside world without being labeled some kind of monstrosity or mutant or something along those lines.

“Fine.” She tossed the watch-sized device toward me, causing it to land right in front of me. However, even as I had just placed the power-nullifier around my wrist, the freaking ‘goddess’ of Wisdom was at it again.

“But before I leave you alone, let’s just test out your costume.” Before I could make any kind of protest against it, Athena had already pressed the button on the device that automatically switches me into my superhero costume. While the upper body portion of the costume had not been altered at all, Athena obviously put some effort into making my costume fit my spideresque physique. Beyond the section of my spider abdomen which contained my spinnerets, I was still covered head to toe in my costume.

“Well, it looks like you put in a lot of...” Wait, something was wrong. Something did not sound right. My voice sounded, well, different. “What did you do to my voice?”

“Now you don’t have to worry about people figuring out your identity from listening to you speak. And don’t worry about it being permanent. It’s the mask that causing it.”

I pulled off my mask. God, that was such an aberrant experience. I know that I was speaking because I could feel my jaw moving, but hearing a different voice come out is quite, well, nerve-racking. It’s going to take some time for me to get used to hearing a different voice coming from my mouth whenever I’m donning my superhero costume, if I ever do that, might I add.

Then my spider-sense began to buzz. Even before I heard my roommates enter into the apartment and made their presence known by calling out my name, that little buzz inside my held alerted me to it. Once my roommates had entered into the apartment, Athena immediately disappeared. Not really surprising, though. She seems to pick and choose when she likes to be around. Figures.

Well, now that I had the power-nullifier, I could now just return aback to normal so that I wouldn’t freak out my roommates. However, right before I pressed the button that would make me look “normal”, I just realized something else. Obviously in my ‘drider’ form (as Athena called it) I could only wear my regular clothes on my upper body. I don’t really think I need to spell it out for you what would happen if I changed back right now.

I could have just picked up my pajama pants next to my bed, but I thought it would look kind of suspicious and out of place if I was found wearing a nice top with pajama pants. Therefore, I used the wristband to switch back into what I was wearing before Athena showed me how my costume now fit my transformed physique and then I rushed over to my closet, searching for a pair of jeans and such before my roommates entered my room. After I found a pair that looked nice with my top, I began trying to slip them (at least partially) over my front pair of spider legs, hoping that I would just slip into them when I turned on the nullifier.

However, before I could even get a chance to revert back to my normal appearance, my roommates had already entered into my room.

“Aubrey, I hope you are feeling better. I know that last night was…” Felecia stopped herself in mid-sentence when she saw my upper body attached to what seemed like a giant, almost horse-sized spider. “What the hell happened to you?”

When I looked back over my shoulder, I saw that Ashley had already fainted from the sight. I guess being afraid of spiders and seeing a giant one would do that to her. Kristin was there to catch her so that she wouldn’t tumble to the ground. Both Kristin and Felecia had looks of shock on their faces.

“Does it look like I feel any better?” I responded, placing my hands on my hips (or what were supposed to be my hips. That’s kind of where I transition from human to spider).
@Dedonus my apologies about that. It is, of course, an app from the last All Stars, but I only just re-read the character history, never noticed that mention in there. I have taken that into account for any further stories but I do imagine that *some* of the public knew about mutants but decided to remain silent about it?

As for Deadpool killing off the Universe again, I think once was enough for him. In fact, this time, he may just be this Universes savior....

I supposed some of the public could know about mutants before the "discovery" date.

And the other two comments were supposed to be humorous (especially at Deadpool's expense).
Character: Deadpool

Looks fine, besides the following (I think I should be addressing Deadpool for these):

1) Just take into account the the X-Gene has been recently 'discovered' (or at least that it the perception in the public). While I'm fine with secret agencies, like Weapon-X and S.H.I.E.L.D. having prior knowledge, just make sure to take that into account.

2) Deadpool, I'm not ErsatzEmperor. So you FAILED!

3) [joking] Deadpool, you may not go killing off the characters of this universe. If you try, just note that the Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man might be godmoding you like no other. Spidey's Spider-Sense scales depending on author and situation and let me tell you, it will be on overdrive if you go on a killing spree. Have a nice day. [/joking]

Posted. Hopefully that "dukedom" mention wasn't out of line. Just let me know if you want me to change it (don't know what I woudl change it to, but whatever).
Marius
“Marius, you’re going up the middle. Try not to outpace us. You’re faster than we are.” Marius heard the orders of the Shepherd’s commander. Immediately after Jacob had given his commands, one of the squires rushed forward, holding a lance in his hands. Once the young man had reached Marius’ side, Marius snatched the lance away from the squire. Now that he had his lance in hand, his sword at his side, and a few javelins at hand for any skirmishing, if any would happen at all, Marius rode forward, forming what would become the frontline. However, before he did so, Marius had a few words for Jerod.

“Rogue Feroxians, indeed. How does it feel that you have to fight the church in order to save the soldiers of Regna Ferox?” After he spoke, Marius rode off with a smile. However, that smile was short lived, as before him and his companions were over two dozens of church-supported soldiers, attempting to lay sage to the Longfort.

While he waited for Jerod and Jacob to take their own positions beside him, Marius whispered a quick prayer, audible only to himself and the deity to whom he was praying. Marius did not wish to spill the blood of fellow believers, but they left him with no choice. However, Marius saw the twisting and corrupting of Naga’s teachings and beliefs as even worse than shedding these men’s blood. Therefore, after he had asked for forgiveness on account of what he was about ready to do, Marius sat there on Bucephalus, ready for the order to march forward.

Abra
Abra headed southward, travelling along a path that happened to pass by the Feroxian walls. Inside her bag was a small necklace that her foster mother had discovered around her neck when Abra was a mere infant. Besides her name (which was a relief because for the longest time, Abra thought her name came from the magical enchantment), there was on the necklace an insignia of one of the dukedoms of Ylisse. This dukedom was not as prominent or tied with the royal monarchy in Ylisse, like the Dukedom of Themis was, but it’s a dukedom none the less. Abra was partially afraid of going, worrying that she would discover that she was abandoned because she was a bastard child or something along those lines. But where else would she go?

Abra heard some foliage rustle behind her. Alarmed by the noise, she swung around and scanned her surroundings. When she saw that there was nothing there, that it must have been the wind, Abra continued forward.

However, before she could take a couple steps forward, two soldiers serving the Church sprung out of the woods and grabbed ahold of her. Abra tried to pull herself out of the two men’s grasp, but all what she did was struggle in vain.

“So what do we have here? A Feroxian spy?” One of the soldiers tightened his grip around Abra’s arm, making her wince.

“I don’t know, she doesn’t look like one of those Feroxian women. She looks more Ylissean to me.” The other soldier placed one hand on Abra’s lower jaw, moving her head from side to side in order to get a better look at her face.

“Whatever she is, all we know is that she is stacked like no other. How is that even natural?”

“Can’t you tell? She’s a witch. She probably placed a hex on herself to create that appearance.” The second soldier began to tie Abra’s hands together with a rope, tightening them so much that they began to dig into her skin, causing Abra to grimace at the pain. “You know what, since the Feroxians have been giving us quite a fight and our own moral is starting to waver, why don’t we take this beauty here for ‘helping out’ the morale, if you catch my drift?” The first soldier nodded in agreement.

“You both are perverts!” Abra screamed, hoping that someone would here, but knowing deep inside that she was doing so in vain. In spite of her protest, the two soldiers ignored her. Instead, they just lead her to their horses and made their way back to camp.
