"Yes, it is now, dear Amanita, it should be rainy season right now in Tretagor."
"Oh...That's good." Maybe after everything is wrapped up, she could stay there for some time, just to soak the atmosphere a bit. She's been moving around a bit lately, so she wouldn't mind a break.
"Flavoring, isn't it? I did it too with the potions." Linceleste politely said to the people who were talking about the wine focus her look to the shroom girl.
She nodded to the diminutive girl
"Humans are quite fond of taste, so i try to make it palatable for them" The few times that she didn't, they think she was trying to poison them, so from then onward she tried her best to make it as good as possible.
"Miss Amanita, I find myself intrigued by these wines you manufactured. I think they would make for a promising business venture in Westernant. As you may have heard, I own a Barony in Westernant. After this expedition is over, I would be delighted to welcome you to my land and be your patron, if you are interested."
Looking at her back as she started to move away, she thought about the offer the red-haired human, Carnatia if she remembers the name correctly, gave her. She was just thinking of taking a break from exploring, and with this she could pass a couple decades completely immersed in her hobby.
She should ask if they have an humid cellar she could live in when she gets the chance.
"The elves act at a pace that would make moss growing looks speedy. Perhaps it's their lifespan, but they cannot move with the same urgency we do." Back to Carmen, she quipped with undisguised annoyance at their long-eared neighbors. That particular people had always been a source of mixed feelings. On one hand their origin was most noble, yet on the other hand they always felt rather... out of place. Always half-measures on all things despite being able to do more."
Tilting her head at the white-haired human, she couldn't help but be slightly confused
Moss doesn't grow that slow, does it? She remembers the time when she watched it grow, it didn't feel like it took that long...
The place the Bishop brought her to was strange. She was never allowed too close into one of these "Temples" until now, and the place felt a little bit too dead, even compared to other human places. Probably because of all the stone. At least the pictures were pretty to look at. Why, if she looked at it sideways, that one picture looked as if the Human was but a cat, hanging onto a ledge!
"Amen."
Her attention was brought to focus by the call. the "amen". The people from this Order liked to say it, thought she still didn't understand why.
"Miss Amanaita has been supplying our communion wine for years, and the congregation likes it. The taste is unique, yet the proof is not as strong as the red wine. I told her about the mission and she seemed eager to help us, so I thought, why not?
Ah. They were talking about her. or her wine, at least. She still didn't like how it turned out,but for some reason they didn't like it when she strayed too far from the first recipe she found. Something about "Not having every priest drunk" or "giving pneunomia isn't good".
Nodding in their direction, she started hearing everyone else starting to introduce themselves. A red-haired(Good taste) human from westernat, another priest with more energy she thought was possible to have, Another human with a...strangely dangerous(but not) feel to him.
Another small human that...somehow seemed to be related to their mission, another big and broad human with a strange smell to him and a big...creature.She was unsure, but his face looked similar to some of the creatures she found in the Forest, though it seemed something happened surrounding his eye.She should ask if he needs help with it later.
As it was seemingly her turn, she introduced herself
"Amanita"
She nodded to herself, that should be more than enough.
"Everyone please dig in, it is not much, but I am sure these modest refections are enough to satisfy us all."
Ah,yes. The food, she almost forgot. Human "cuisine" was a bit strange, prioritizing flavour over most everything. It's actually one of the things that made her start experimenting with wine and beer.
She wondered why these were considered Modest, the amount was abundant and there were some things she never had seen too!
Her musing were interruped by the Red-head. If she remember correctly, her name was Carnatia.
"Pardon me, Miss Amanita? You were the one that supplied tonight's wine, I believe? They seemed to be somewhat similar to botrytized wines such as Sauternes. Were they manufactured through a similar process? I noticed that the wine grapes weren't premium grapes typically used for botrytized wines, nevertheless, the flavour was quite excellent still, if you do not mind me asking, were the grapes specially treated or were special fungi used to induce the noble rot?"
Oh. She's interested in your creation. You have to try what she's saying to do with the grapes, seems neat.
"I did not use grapes. With enough sugar, yeast and umami, i can make wine directly out of Champignon mushrooms, which is the reason for your seeming familiarity with it. It's far sweeter than most wines i have tried, and the distinct mushroom taste gets covered by the manifacturing process, while still keeping it's syrupy and sweet flavour."
Her hand moved to take some mushroom in her small fit of excitement over someone sharing her own hobby, to continue her explanation with a more pratical aid, before she remembered. Last time she did something like this, she got scolded that "she shouldn't bring rotten mushrooms in important places".She wasn't sure what an "important place" was, but this probably counted as one. Oh well, she can show her how she prepares thing when they started their journey.
He shifted to everyone else. "What about you, Friends, and Sister, have you ever been to the place where Pladin Thomas went missing?"
Tetragon... Maybe in her wanderings, before she knew about Nations, she crossed the border unknowingly, but she was unsure.
She shook her head in negative.
"I hope it's more humid than here" lately she was always in dryer places, as the Humans seemingly preferred them, and she started to miss the comfortable, thick air and the strangely sticky feeling of it.
Age: 132 as Amanita Mycellia (True chronological age Unknown)
Gender: Female
She sometimes remembers, of Dampness, of Their Mycelium growing and spreading, of how They were Everywhere. These memories, for some reasons, are always fuzzy and distorted.
Her first, truly clear memory, is of a clear, night sky covered in Twinkling lights. She didn’t know much back then, but she still recognized its ethereal beauty.
Her first years after awakening were spent lazily wandering around the humid forest she found herself in, looking at all the marvels this world had to offer.
What changed her routine was an encounter with a pair of humans.A Small Pair, her mind instinctually providing the information that they were still pinning, and one of them was seemingly mauled.
They were guarded against her, but didn’t actually do anything as her curiosity compelled her to close in.
Before she even knew what she was doing, she started emitting specific spores on the Human’s injury. The blood started to clot, and its body healing system got put into overdrive.
The uninjured human, seeing this, made some sort of sound, before taking a bow and starting to, very carefully, move his injured brethren.
After that, encounters with humans started becoming more frequent. From the odd human every few years that would freak out at her presence, to finding herself having visitors every couple of months, searching for her specifically.
During the years she learned the language thanks to her sporadic meetings, and found out that these people, coming from a nearby village, were calling her the “Mushroom Witch”, and came to her for a variety of problems, from the more banal, like injuries, to the extremes, like asking her to somehow curse someone else.
She counted somewhere around the fifty year mark when she decided that she could do with a change of scenery.
Most of the Humans she knew were now nourishing the Earth, and she had explored her surroundings and the sky thoroughly.
So, unable to contain her curiosity any longer, she started to wander, and got herself a routine.
Wander until you find a somewhat interesting place, settle there for some years, exploring the place and usually helping its inhabitants with some of their problems, from the small to the large, before deciding to move on.
In her wanderings, she learned much. How the sky changed if you moved far enough, how Human society worked and how they could be so similar yet so different, how enjoyable it was brewing mushroom beer, how long it took to decompose different beasts, that there was still even more she still did not know and that Human cells were very comfortable.
It was specifically in one of those cells, after she was found “selling” Mushroom beer without a permit, that she had received a communication. Seemingly one of the people she previously helped out of a thigh spot one or two decades ago had a proposition for her.
They needed some people to go to a place called Tetragon to find one of his friends that went missing. Since they knew how she liked new experiences and exploring new places, they thought they would ask if she wanted to join,as a way to repair the favor she did so long ago.
Amanita, of course, accepted without a second thought.
-Mycokinesis:
Amanita's inherent connection to Fungal entities allows her to have some magical authority over them. Beside her Spells, She has the ability to rapidly grow Mushrooms and induce decomposition in organic matter.
-Myconid Physiology:
Amanita’s Djinn Heritage makes her body a mix of fungal and humanoid structure. This gives her some inherent benefits, such as a toxic body, being able to heal far more easily from most injuries and resistance to most every toxin. There aren’t only benefits however, as fire burns her like tinder, she's slower than you would expect and no matter how easily she can heal, a fatal enough strike would still kill her. She also has an affinity to humid and a severe distaste for arid climates.
-Psilocybe: Amanita releases highly toxic spores that, when inhaled, cause dizziness and nausa, with higher dosages bringing weakness, sluggishness and even hallucinations. (Build over time Debuff that gains more debilitating effects as it stacks)
-Ganoderma Amanita releases a mix of medicinal spores that, when inhaled, invigorates and refreshes, with higher dosages being adrenalinic, boosting their healing rate and ever fortifying their mind. (Build over time buff that gains more positive effects as it stack)
-Mycosis: Amanita sends the Psilocybe spores into overdrive, causing them to grow, multiplicate and consume at an heightened rate, causing a sudden onset of fungal infection to her foes that, if left unchecked, might prove fatal, as the fungi overtakes nominal bodily functions until complete decomposition is achieved (Build over time DoT. Usable only against enemies affected by Psilocybe. The strength of a cast of Mycosis Is based on how much the target is affected by Psilocybe.)
- Sorus Burst: Amanita emits a burst of spores either surrounding herself or in a cone, heavily disrupting sight in the affected area. The cloud itself is indiscriminately made up of all her spores, and emitting that many spores all at once takes a toll on her. Such a high concentration of biotic material, however, makes for great kindling. (AoE zone which heavily limits visibility and affects everyone inside with her other spells. Highly flammable.) 2 Turns CD as it takes a bit of a toll on Amanita.
Has grown a passion for creating Mushroom Craft Beers. Thanks to her magic, she doesn’t need a truly dedicated workshop, and can experiment on the go. Is happy to share.
Can be eerily calm in most situations except with a few exceptions.
Can cook a mean mushroom stew.
-Craft Beer Kit: While barebones, for Amanita herself it has enough tools to craft and store any brew she might come up with
-Blooming Shillelagh: A sturdy stick from which a variety of Fungi grows. Usable both as a walking and bonking stick. The Fungal growth easily release Spores when moved with some heft behind it (In game terms, it means a Hit allows a “Free Cast” of one of her non-CD spells)
Trinkets: A smattering of small trinkets gifted to her by the people she helped. They go from Ornamental ropes, to the Veil she wear to even the purple Gem now adorning her Cap. She likes and treasures them.
Would be an Alcoholic if her being Half-fungus didn’t prevent her from becoming inebriated.
Has no idea of how non-fungal reproductivity works
The same is true for money or even most forms of bargaining. Most of the time she gives out her help freely without asking anything in return except for the experience in itself.

Flying was a strange thing. It made one feel free, able to see the world in a new perspective. And yet, you are still constrained by what holds you afloat. Freeing, yet still constrained. Truly strange.
Musings aside, everything seemed to be going well. The flight took off without problems, Lucas and gwen were getting along well, Ceri got a bit out of her coocon, Jericho was threatening people he really shouldn't about silly things, Eris was flustered and Ifrit was still being it's timely self.
And yet... Something seemed of. She couldn't understand what it was, a niggling feeling of...unease? Not something she feels often. But what was causing it? Everyone seemed well, there were no possible threat in sight, so why was she so sure of the incoming danger?
“Beware of thunderous snowstorms, I'm sure you wouldn't like it.”
And then, she remembered what Elektra said before. Thunderous Snowstorms. A Natural disaster instead of a man-made one. Far less exciting, but it might still prove dangerous.
Looking over to the Horizons, she could finally pin-point the source of her unease. A roiling storm, seemingly not that far off from our own ship, and, if her sense weren't lying to her, coming towards our location.
Thinking quickly, she bit her right thumb, the left taking hold of her Water-filled Jug.A quick dip of her thumb later, and the process of transmuting it into her blood was started. They still had some time before the Storm would hit, and she will probably need some reserves.
That done, she swiftly moved towards the others, so as to be heard even through their talks and squabbling.
"Sorry to Interrupt, but we have a situation. Storm over the horizon and quickly closing in. It's gonna hit us in a bit. Thought you all wanted to know that."
Her job as the bearer of ill omens done, she refocused on her Jug, so as to speed up the process. Afterall, if things continued like this, they probably would need an emergency teleport out of the ship.
She snarked at Ayuna. "Canvas? Ya think. If red is the only color then that's too bleak, I probably don't understand you at the moment. By the way, did we have this conversation before? My head is a little fuzzy. I can see the Maidservants serving what Eris has cooked. Why don't we talk about it as we grab a bite? Your canvases and all.."
"We probably did, you do tend to jump from topic to topic, it wouldn't be strange that we talked about it" Ayuna hummed contemplatively. She herself was unsure about it, strangely enough.
Her thoughts were interrupted as the familiar pangs of hunger hit her "I'll take you up on that offer, i'm famished. We can talk all about how my choice in decor appals you in front of food"
Her gaze went to Ayuna with a slight glint of relief, her dojo definitely has benefits but Zeire definitely doesn’t look up to joining the strict regimen nor dealing with potential casualties.
She didn't know why, but at that moment, the small gaze of Zeire was...Irritating. As if she was a cat that escaped a deadly trap. She already made her come once, it shouldn't be hard to do it again. The Girl definitely needed the exercise and a bit of training in how to deal with overwhelming odds.
"We're heading to Iceberg, I'm a noble after all. I'm just needed for that foreigner passage, we're gonna fix that 100 year old broken bridge. She elaborated to Zeire and Ayuna.
As they moved to sit themselves, Gwen continued to fill her in the mission she decided to join, and after the "shy" alchemist proptly and predictably denied to join, she spoke up
"Shame, i had honestly hoped for something more...exciting,if i were to be honest.Though i expect there's more to this than just simple Bridge rebuilding, If they pegged this as an S-rank mission of all things
”Invisibility and healing potions, of course I have them, since you’re going to Iceberg I’ll prepare some cold-proof coating, for your equipment and cloaks for your companions at least…” Zeire whipped out a small notebook and started to write a list on it. ”And something if you need to dive under an icy river, do you have anyone who uses blades? I’ll prepare some sharpness oil for them too.”
"Thanks Zeire, as always, you are the one that's able to think ahead of us. Now, if only you've started going out more..."
She has so much potential to grow, she still couldn't wrap her head around why she prefer to stay in her lab all the time. Oh sure, research is important, but one would think some field work would be just as much if not more beneficial.
”Oh and Ayuna, I agree you should vary your colour pallet.”
At that she couldn't help but roll her eyes
"I'll have you know, Blood Red goes with everything, Especially Black walls and White Mats! You say that just because you were terrified of the place when i finally coaxed a day out of you for trying it."
Actually, wasn't this her chance to get her to come more often?
With shining eyes and a far too wide smile, she continued.
"You know...talking about it, you should join for another session,Dear. You made so much progress in just one sitting, if you started coming more regularly you could outshine everyone here! Wouldn't that be wonderful?"
Today as well, She woke up on a bed,her bed. No matter how many years passed, that simple fact can still baffle her to no end. They say that not waking up to whipping and screaming is normal, but to her, that still seemed...false,somehow. She really couldn't get her mind around it.
She disregarded the though with practiced ease, as she did every other time. No sense pondering over it, that was just how things were.
As she got off the bed, she noticed how late it actually was. She was gonna miss breakfast time if she needed to prepare. A bath would be nice, but food would be better.
"Eh, i can always use the old method" her thoughts wandered, her habits took control once more.
She reached for her blade
A quick clean later, she was now watching an overly excited Gwen talking about how she had finally liquidized lacrima, though we all knew that it in itself wouldn't accomplish much...She knew, right? You can never be too sure with Gwen.
To be fair to her, Ours and Zeire Alchemies are quite dissimilar... could it be she doesn't understand the difference? Improbable, she probably just wished to learn a new thing to quell her voracifous need for new knowledge.
Oh, Ayuna...wouldn't it be cool if your Dojo could use more style? It certainly looks creepy, who the heck picks black walls and white matting! You're gonna scare a lot of people, or is it because the mats are white because you wanna see them bleed?
Her musing where interrupted by the object of her thoughts itself.
"Gwen, dear, you should know by now that it being "creepy" and scary is a design choice i made. Helps with bringing the true self of someone out, if they think they aren't gonna see tomorrow. Though i must admit..." And here she couldn't help the small smile that overcame her lips
The white flooring is exactly for that reason.Seeing the aftermath after a training session...why, it's almost like we are artists painting an empty canvans, don't you agree? Why, just thinking about it was making her wish for a spar, maybe Gwen would be up for it since she's seemed so interested?
Which reminds me, I'm going on am S-Class Mission with Eris. Wanna come along?"
Shaking herself out of her reverie, and taking a second to recenter herself, she responded.
"Oh, sure. It's been a while since i've gone on a decent mission, wouldn't mind the change of pace"
”I wouldn’t be helping much in an S-rank mission, but tell me, what will you need for that quest? You have to be well stocked for an S quest.”
She wondered. She was pretty self-sustaining, so she never needed much. And she knew next to nothing about the mission, so she didn't even know what to expect.
"Besides enough liquid to fill my Jug...Do you have any blood replenishing potions in stock? Turning towards Gwen she continued "You know what's the mission about? So that we can see what to take with us?

𝕴𝖉𝖊𝖓𝖙𝖎𝖙𝖞 Definitely not a Masochist
At first glance, if one were to see Ayuna, they would see a Caring and Compassionate person, who tries their best to cheer you up in your darkest moments.
Those that know her however, know an additional part of her. She believes that Suffering and Hardship are the true cornerstone of growth. Pain and Adversity aren’t only obstacles to overcome, but the true crucible from which one can better themselves.
On one hand, she will offer compassion, comfort you when you are at your lowest, While with the other she pushes you to face your troubles head-on.
This is most true for herself as well, she doesn’t shy away from challenges and hardship, as she sees them as a possibility for growth.
Has a bad habit of biting her cheek or tongue when she's stressed or anxious. She also has a quite literal blood thirst, which does not help to beat the Vampire allegations.
𝕱𝖆𝖎𝖗𝖞𝖙𝖆𝖑𝖊 The first thing she remembers was a dark, damp ceiling, shortly followed by a robed man giving her a Tome and a Command. Learn or Die.
And so she Learned. The tome told her of the power of her own blood, how it could be used, manipulated, multiplicated. She learned how to transume other liquids, then how to crystallize her blood into Crystals.
She Learned the taste of blood, how it’s salty, metallic feeling centered and focused her.
She Learned how to fight with the Blood. How to minimize her own blood loss. How to kill.
She learned about her existence, how it was doomed to end on their whims.
She learned about pain, and how much it takes to break a person. And how far it can bring you shall you overcome it.
She learned about defiance, how to reject her fate and create her own.
She learned that the robed men were all weak, far weaker in their Alchemy.Unlike herself, who had to endure, they had stagnated in comfort.
And so, as she emerged from the darkness she was held for the first time, she saw light. Not the light of the sun, as it couldn’t compare to the sight of paradise she witnessed. Azuria stood in her full glory, wreaths of fire shrouding her as if a goddess of fire descended into earth. She asked to follow her on the spot.
Life in Fenix Tear was...different. No death-lines, no impromptu "learning lessons", a nice bed instead of a cold slab. The difference between living standard was grating. If she were to be honest, she hated it at the time. It felt like they were coddling her, as if she couldn't take it.
As if in spite, she always tried to get or join the most difficult requests, both as a way for her to grow ever foward, and as a way to "pay" for the way they treated her.
It took almost a year of brooding before she truly understood that this was the standard, and not some privilege heaped on her. From there, her mood changed drastically, becoming far more cordial and friendly with the guild-members.
That was four years ago. Now Ayuna is a full member of Fenix Tear, Helping where she can and trying to props it’s members to new heights.

Magecraft Alchimia Sanguinis - Blood-Make An alchemy that is as Narrow as it is Versatile. The Alchemists use their own blood as the Catalyst for their transmutations in exchange for a boost in power. Can become dangerous to the user if used for long enough without proper precautions. Equivalent Exchange Practioners of Alchimia Sanguinis become more in tune with the blood flowing within their veins, and it's desire to flow freely. Practioners attain masochistic tendencies, a slight taste for blood, and an utter disregard for their own wounds. Furthermore, they have a slight urge to spill their own blood, which become worse and worse the longer the practioner does not do so.
Alchimia Sanguinis: Proliferate A Drop of Ayuna’s blood, spilled in any liquid can quickly transmute it into more of her blood. Unfortunately, this spell quickly loses efficiency the greater the difference between the liquid and the blood, so she can only convert so much at a time.
Alchimia Sanguinis: Crystallize Ayuna shapes and solidifies her blood in any way she desires, creating useful constructs for her to utilize. While not as sturdy as other such creations, blood constructs have the upside of both being expendable and being the focus from which Ayuna cast her Alchemy. This makes her prefer to go with quantity over quality, and then utilizing the scattered blood to renew the offensive.
Alchimia Sanguinis: Expugnatio Ichori
Ayuna Greatest Spell. She collects all her spilled and transmuted blood, and then launches it into the sky, before it descends like rain. Everything touched by the red rain is in the range of Ayuna’s Alchimia Sanguinis. Scales with the amount of blood used to cast it, and it gets a boost if it’s raining or storming, as Ayuna can then transmute the water raining down.
Maledictus Alchimia Rituum Less an actual School of Alchemy, and more the Rituals Ayu has created. Utilizing Curse, They can be powerful,Dangerous Things, and such things never come cheap.
Equivalent Exchange Using Curse isn't good for the Long-Term Health of the body or, more crucially, the Soul. Fortunately, it is a resilient thing, capable of bouncing back from most everything. Unfortunately, High Usage of Curse Sap at it in a way few things can. Unless truly egregious amounts were used, bouncing back is possible, but it is both a slow and painful affair.
Alchimia Sanguinis: Porta Cruor
Using the inherent connection to her own blood, Ayuya is able to briefly connect two points which have a great concentration of her blood together. Creating a portal evaporates the blood used to create it on both sides, and to use this spell for long distances, a full-on Sigil and Ritual connecting the two points is needed.
Alchimia Sanguinis: Extrudtio Falsae Sui
Created after seeing Thought Projections in action, It is but a mere mimicry of the real thing. All you need is Blood, spilled in a double Helix pattern, the appropiate runes for Extracting,Connecting and holding the "Self", and enough Curse to power the whole ritual. Should you succed, an Imperfect clone of yourself should Arise. Any Physical weakness or Emotional Numbing is completely normal, as that's the "Self" that's been transferred to the clone. You should be able to feel what the clone feels and viceversa, even if somewhat more muted. Remember to Cycle your clones periodically! Don't want them to actually develop sentience and personality now, would we?
Mutuum Tempestas; Pluvia Chorus
Ayuna,Seeing Gwen, decided that her habit of learning other disciplines could be useful, if tempered in it's impulse. Unfortunately, She didn't hold the same talent as Gwen in this regard. What she did have, however, was the ability to use Curse, and an high disregard for her own health. Taking inspiration from Storm magic, she was able to create a ritual to invoke a part of it. Specifically, the ability to manipulate the wheater to make it rain.
The aptly named "Rain Dance", is just that. A ritualistic Dance that, when supplied with Curse and correctly done, is able to make it rain in the area surrounding the caster. Fortunately for the caster, the Rain Dance still permits them movement, Unfortunately, as Rain Dance are wont to be, it takes a long time to actually finsih casting.
Holdercraft
The Sacrificial Dagger An old ornate knife, scavenged from the corpse of her captors. Enchanted for sharpness so that her self inflicted wounds are both easier to make and far less prone to tearings. Jug of Holding A Simple, unassuming jug with a strap for easier carrying. Has been enchanted to be able to hold far more liquid than it's size would suggest.

Medical Bodily Alchemy Learned when she was trying to broaden her horizon after seeing Zeire works. She can perform a battery of somewhat lenghty rituals that can heal most minor wounds and Stabilize worse cases that are beyond her skill. These rituals are something that take most of Ayuna's Attention, so as long as she's performing them she can't do much else.
She also can, if pressed, rapidly heal most injuries. Unfortunately such a thing is extremely draining and inefficient. Without rest or recuperation, she can do this three times in total, each one more draining and less effective than the last.
Blood-Dance Aka, NOT!waterbending An Hobby she has picked up in her time at Fenix Tear. An union of her Alchemical and Dancing Skills, she lets her instict move her and her blood flow freely. As she moves, so does the blood follow, cloaking her, creating imageries or just moving gracefully or forcefully. She prefer to perform her Blood-dance under the rain, as that makes her able to transmute more and more blood for her performance, and has started incorporating both Dances togheter.

With her demonstration done, Fia quickly scooted over next to the man in armor. Fia had never met an oni before, and that alone caught Fia’s attention. But then when it came to his work with curses and cursed metal, she found someone truly special. Fia was aware of the possibility of cursed metal, but now she found living proof. Fia looked up at the armored oni with eagerness. Fia's eyes were as deep red as her dress, and a black ring surrounded her pupils. “You don’t have to worry about me, lovely. I would be most interested to learn more about how you wield your cursed metal.”
As the Sorceress, and wasn’t that a surprising thing, came closer to admire his armor, he couldn’t help himself but feel pride. The Scholar might have been a bastard, but the fact remains that he gave him a truly wonderful ability."I’d be more than willing to show you,Lady Sorceress.Hopefully i’ll prove to be up to your standards"
Before he could continue, the small red-head introduced herself, and his hypothesis proved half correct. For one, she was a noble, a very high ranked one at that. She did, however, seemingly come here because of her passion instead of any more pressing concerns. Being free and willing to follow what your heart tells you, she was worthy of respect for that.
The offer to bring them all to Helvetica after the expedition took him by surprise. Enough that Evelyn continued, explaining the usage of each of the items that the Roxas found. The generosity of it for one, but mostly because he never thought of it as a possible place to lay low. Though…he doesn’t have any plan after this expedition… he could try it, let himself become famous enough that nobody would try anything stupid, refuge in audacity and all that. "I might take you up on that offer, Miss Evelyn. i have heard much about Helvetica, and it seems a truly lovely place to explore."
"Does no one understand what the word investigation mean?" She set the pictures down, letting out a frustrated sigh before snapping her eyes to Gray Flame and giving him a glare as well. "FINE, FINE, fine, fine, fine!" Her magic flared around her in anger, silvery with amber flecks as it swirled and then settled. "Fine."
After Evelyn scryed the items, she scooped them back up. She paused at the bottom of the stairs, jaw clenching and unclenching. Loud enough for everyone to hear, before she disappeared; "Roxas. Healer." She then moved upstairs to put everything back. Damin might have been right, why did she bring herself on this expedition. Once upstairs, she put the chest items back, the flier on the desk and put the pendant, draft and picture back in the bedroom. She didn't come back downstairs.
But as soon as he finished, the Gray flame and Roxas discussion came to a close in a quite…Spectacular way. He could understand her frustration, after all she didn’t do anything wrong. Misunderstandings truly are a poison that slowly corrodes. Hopefully they can surpass this, and come out stronger as a party for it.
"With you by my side, Ser Forbann, we could take on an entire army! Pleased to work with you." He offered an appreciative nod, moving on to the next soon after.
Fortunately, the silence left by Roxas departure was broken by the fearless(Allegedly) old Human Knight. Looking him over, he couldn’t help but nod back"Likewise Ser Engelberd. Any army would be wise to fear us!" Misunderstandings aside, Engelberd was a fierce warrior, and he wondered who would win a fight between them.
In a fair fight, there were good chances that he would be able to take him, but he didn’t entertain the thought for more than a moment. If they truly fought to the death, The old Knight was wise enough to exploit his weaknesses to make the fight far more favorable for him.
"For me, I am Tillius Battakka." Tillius spoke, his tone seemed normal if not a bit low for an orc, but it carried underneath a gravitas befitting his status. "Unfortunately, I do not bring with me magic or technological marvels, only strength and techniques." He paused and laid a hand on his gladius to briefly indicate the gear he was using. "I was an officer in the Westernant Army, but in case you worry, I am now retired, and am merely an adventurer, just like everyone else. I am more than confident and honored to be serving with you brave comrades into the unknown."
Tillius left it as such, as he took a step back. His weird intonation in the last sentence might seem a bit out of place for an otherwise normal introduction. Maybe it was just orc speak, or military speak. But the Gray Flame might notice a glance to him from the orc afterwards.
Soon after Engelberd, the Orc spoke up. A fellow Military man, Forbann couldn’t help but stand at attention, or at least as much as he could while being seated, at his tone. He introduced himself as an officer, and he believed it, that tone was far too similar to the officers of the Tritagonian army, so much so that some old ingrained instinct came back to the fore, if only for a moment
"It’s an Honor to have you,Sir." his response was short and concise. The former officer was obviously displeased about something, most likely the misunderstanding about Roxas, and it was probably best not to aggravate him more.
His attention was once again taken by the Sorceress,Which for some reason stayed close to him for all this time, though he couldn’t tell you why. Maybe she didn’t know where to sit?
Fia Blackfire
“A bath sounds lovely.” she said, almost like she was never questioning the masked elf at all. She turned on her heel to face the tall armored oni. She clasped her hands together resting them on her cheek as she tilted her head. Fia gleefully spoke again with a sweet smile, “would you care to join me, darling? I’ll help you wash your back.”
He looked down at himself. His armor was still drenched from the thunderstorm before, which was still going strong. He himself felt wet, and now that he noticed, it was starting to become slightly uncomfortable.
Carnatia de Luson
Although...she turned to Fia, who was propositioning Forbann to take a bath together a few moments ago.
She coughed, her cheeks slightly tinged red, as she blushed, "Erm...yes, er...Lady Fia, if you have any intention of doing... ahem...licent—er..."
She stopped from saying 'licentious acts', considering the presence of Evelyn, who was but a child.
"...certain acts with Sir Forbann, then I believe it's common courtesy to have the rest of us use the facility first...yes? So if you do not mind..."
Her blush intensified at the rather awkward situation, before she composed herself by taking a deep breath, "I-In any case, I'm sure you do not mind allowing myself to use the bath first, yes?"
Certain acts? It was a bath, what would they do that would make her so nervous? Unless the Westernian bath customs were different when multiple people were involved? Well, not like it matters much, he very much doubted he could even make use of the cabin bath.
“I think you’re fine to go first, Carnatia. A bath wouldn’t go amiss, no,but unfortunately I don't think that most baths in Varenheim could fit me, especially the bath of a cabin in the middle of the woods.” he regrettably had to turn Fia offer down.
"So, unless you wish to use the thunderstorm to wash ourselves, I'll unfortunately have to decline." He joked, trying to abate any disappointment his rejection might have caused.
"I don't see that as a problem."
Came a bold, whimsical voice from the stairs. The Gray flame looked back and had his shoulder clapped by Vesemir.
"Why the tense atmosphere! Eh?" he cleared his throat and fixed his top hat before continuing. "Well. Tell ya, it' hard for me to disagree on these two young ladies' acute proposition. Why indeed *ahem* not claim them? If they are as powerful as Miss Evelyn concluded, then in my opinion, it is also a crime to leave them here in the dust while it can be used to illuminate one's why and help people." Raising his both hands like some sort of arbiter, Vesemir shifted his gaze at everyone present. "To take or not take, it is an equally right proposition. Neither of us here may claim the authority to prevent any of us from claiming such items. And if morality is still holding you back..." The archeologist took out a leather pouch from his bag and placed the clinking purse on top of the fireplace.
"Paid in full. The choice is all yours."
Well, that was one way to smooth things over. Forbann didn’t know how long such solutions would last. Hopefully enough to forge actual bonds with each others.
"Now we have finally seen eye to eye about that matter, I've something to announce to everyone," Vesemir spoke again, louder this time, not only to get everyone's attention but seemingly to deprive Gray Flame or Englebert a chance to discuss the looting kerfuffle again.
Between his speech, he pointed at the map at the table. Before gazing at Carnathia and Fia in particular.
"It is important, but I will be brief. So please stay a while and listen. It was decided that we are going to take a slightly longer detour first, toward the ruined town of Lassë and then to Ostianor slightly to the east. I think that's all for now. Any questions regarding those areas please consult with our expert, Mr. Gray Flame."
Respectfully, he beckoned at Gray Flame, who had been acting like a statue for the remainder of the exchange.
"As for now, please take a rest and don't hesitate to make good use of... well, the amenities we have."
He nodded. It was his expedition, and from what he gathered, his aim wasn’t to just reach Nuria, but to re-discover history. It only made sense to have a few stops to historically relevant places on the way.
Seems like a fine enough plan, Boss. Here’s hoping we’ll find what you want, eh?
