Seeing actual bushfire footage looks straight out of Hell... It moves so quickly and so powerfully, literally the trees just ignite. You firefighters are absolute legends, but please, don't die.

Welcome to my little personal den of Hell! Sorry, sorry, I meant my personal profile. Same thing, right?
I'm a roleplayer, same as any around here. I've been doing it for about five years now, coming up to six in September. Its been quite the time, thinking back. I started out fresh as can be, understanding the basics of writing but never quite knowing how to become better, or become as great as those around me. In the end, I did the only thing I really knew at the time:
Write as much garbage as possible and hope for the best!
As you can see, that particular tactic fucking failed. Jokes aside, I like to think I've developed a lot over the years, both as a writer and as a person. However, absolutely nothing can dissuade my weeaboo ways and supporting my OTP with all that I can freaking muster! If you haven't already guessed, said OTP is Chrom x Robin (Chrobin) from Fire Emblem: Awakening. Highly recommend the game, there's a reason (other than nintendo's cheapskate attitude) that it hasn't dropped in price, it's honestly the best place to start off in the series. And hey, maybe you'll end up addicted like me and want to buy every game on the 3DS like a fucking loony?
Speaking of loonies, the Fire Emblem Chrobin Comic Dub Project has recently finished, so for those of you who also appreciate the best ship in existence, I highly recommend it. Hell, even if you're not interested in that, I do highly recommend watching it for those into fantasy love stories. The quality improves drastically with each episode, so trust me when I say by the end of it you should be thoroughly impressed. It has helped motivate me in ways I can hardly describe with words, and so I thought the least I could do was put this out there. Maybe it's not for everyone, but I know it was the perfect thing for me.
"Do you think you can tip any of the scales in here?" "Chrom, for the love of Naga, I'm thinking..."
"So I heard."
"There are better places to take a nap than on the ground, you know."
There is a universe. No-one knows it's name, where gravity wasn't strong enough to bind matter together and no stars formed. And because no stars formed, no stars exploded. And because no stars exploded, no planets came about. And because no planets came about, there was no life.
There's another universe, no one knows it's name, where gravity was strong enough and did light the stars and planets came about and boy, they were gorgeous, planets in perpetual winter, planets in perpetual summer, planets that could rival the Garden of Eden and no bloody snakes! And on one of them, eventually, complex life evolved and one of the species developed large brains learned things like manners and dabbing, when they looked up at the stars and wonder what they were doing here. You called them octopuses, I suppose. Gosh, they were clever, for octopuses, and one of them, several million years in, almost wrote something in ink on the seafloor, a message to its friend. And the message almost read: "Hi! How are you?" And a few millennia later, space folder back on itself and, you get the idea. Goodbye Octopi.
There's another universe, where life formed on every planet, in every solar system, and it was carbon-based, it was silicon based, it was made of crystals and water and plasma, it was made of quantum fields and light, and everything was alive, everything was doing a boogie, and it was everybody's birthday, everyday, relatively, and everyone got presents, and they had over a trillion languages, some written down, some only spoken, some conducted telepathically, and they bought a galactic civilization together, as a perfect unity, sharing stories, sharing technology, speaking a common tongue, understanding everything about how the cosmos been put together. And finally, when everything was sorted, the galaxies were arranged into perfect geometric formations, transmitting pure love, and wisdom, and birthday greetings to all species in the universe, for all time. Papercuts never happened, coke came in glass bottles, no one even remembered the word for war, everything was beautiful and nothing hurt.
And yet, for a quirk in their evolution, because resources weren't scarce enough on the planets these species developed on, not a single creature in the universe was conscious. Food was eaten and no-one enjoyed it. Movies were released, and there was no laughing, or crying. No-one chuckled at a joke. Ever. Space collapsed back on itself, eventually, and there hadn't been a single moment of sentience in the entire history of creation.
There's another universe, where the strong force is too strong the weak force is too weak and nothing forms. Another, where life develops too late when the Stars have all gone beyond the light boundary and there's nothing to even see. Another with too many dimensions. Another with not enough. Another that only lasts milliseconds, and collapses in on itself, and heads straight back to oblivion. And that's how it just might be, across all possible universes, across all possible space times. Problems with the laws of nature, not enough resources, missteps in evolution. An atlas of dead-ends.
Then again, there is one exception.
There's another universe, a big one, where life is rare, where intelligent life is very rare indeed, the stars are very distant from each other, the laws of nature are very complex, it's extremely lonely for any species developing, and most never even develop at all, but somewhere, we believe, is a planet where the oceans are vast, and the climate is varied. Where the smartest species on the planet may have developed just the right mix of ambition and kindness. And if you were to travel there, to this unbelievably rare statistical anomaly, to this impossibly lucky planet, where evolution, biology, chemistry, nae, the laws of physics themselves have come together to create sentient intelligent life, you may be able to catch the native inhabitants singing for joy. Of what an impossibly lucky, and rare position they find themselves in. It is a chant of gratitude, a ritual of showing appreciation for ending up in perhaps the one universe, in the one solar system, on the one planet with all the basic ingredients for intelligent, conscious life.
It's been awhile since I last hosted a game, not only on this site, but across pretty much all sites I RP on. For this site, my one and only game was a Corpse Party RP I made way back when about a year ago, but that died out I think a month or so into the game. The last thing I've hosted in general was a couple months ago, and never really took off in the first place.
So, why start hosting a game now? Well, the answer's simple, really: with all my newly-found free time now that I'm on holidays, coupled with the fact that I've had ideas raging around in my head for ages now, and I've just got the feeling that I wanna do it, y'know? Of course, I'm not as confident about starting something up as I once was. My innumerable failures to keep consistent at hosting an RP has done its work on my courage, or so it would seem. Even now I'm not entirely motivated or anything, but I feel like all it'd take is one good RP to rope me back into the swing of things.
If it turns out to be successful, then I'll definitely continue with one of my finer, system-based roleplays on another site (which I'll shamelessly advertise here, probably). If not, well I'll just continue being a player, and not a creator.
Anyways, I'm rambling now so I'll get to the point. I'm going to list a whole bunch of ideas and you guys just need to say what seems interesting to you. Most of them will be anime/game-related but I might throw in something more "original" too. I feel the same urge for all of them so there's no need to fret about stuff like that. Anyways, here are the ideas:
* Akame Ga Kill: An RP that revolves around the continuation of the Akame ga Kill ANIME. That's right, the anime, not the manga. An evil has been unearthed within The Capital - a Trump Card from the ultimate Teigu that has begun to revert what Akame and the members of Night Raid fought so hard to achieve. Now with everything turning back to Hell, Akame has made an effort to reform Night Raid to try and fix what Tatsumi accidentally unleashed. Now this RP is going to be HUGE and will span over three, though possibly more, main chapters which will basically be like writing books. It'll fit under just about any category but I'm thinking advanced-casual.
* Date a Live: In a world a mere ten years ahead of our own, humanity has found itself facing a new, unstoppable threat: Spatial Quakes. These spatial quakes manifest themselves due to Spirits -- creatures of great magical power who have no sense of identity -- are pulled through from another dimension, causing widespread destruction, mostly due to them being provoked. It's been ten years since the first spatial quake annihilated most of Europe, and now humanity is certain of the existence of Spirits and aim to either eradicate, harvest or befriend them. Players play as either the Anti-Spirit-Team, Spirits, members of the PMC Westcott Industries, or those gifted in absorbing Spirit abilities (known as "The Gifted"). The RP will have two main styles of play -- romance and/or action -- and will most likely be casual or free.
* Clovers: A fantasy RP which details the journey of The Clovers: a team of four individuals from four separate nations who have been blessed by Lady Luck with the Four Leafed Clover after winning their region's tournament to impress their lady. The Clovers mission is to protect the crystals which keep the world stable and flowing with magic and the acolytes who tend to them, as well as invade the small demon island of Nejaar in order to kill the Demon King. The cool thing about this RP is, although there are four main characters, players can apply for other significant side roles too, including things like villains, companions and even the acolytes themselves. This RP will likely be casual, allowing some free posting should the need arise.
* Persona 6: My own interpretation on 'Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 6' comes in two forms. Thankfully players won't need any real background info if they want to play. The first idea involves a motley crew of fools who pursue their own dreams and aspirations whilst running from the investigation team, with some players even being caught in the middle. The idea is to really use excellent storytelling to its fullest, and thus this would fit under advanced-casual (as you can tell I really hate full on advanced). The second idea involves a bunch of kids with physical, emotional or mental disabilities who are granted freedom and purpose when they discover how to 'unlock their mind'. It involves a lot of psych-stuff, so if you're feeling like having a mind fuck, go for this one. I'd expect this to be casual or advanced-casual. Both games involve the invocation of facets of one's personality in the form of a mythological creature to fight Shadows - dark and evil creatures who were created for the sole purpose of killing humans. More information will be provided should it garner enough interest (as with all the games).
* Steins;Gate: Five years ago, time travel was invented, and it almost caused a catastrophe so large it could've killed the world. Thanks to the exploits of its creator, he managed to undo his wrong-doings and fixed his own timeline by discovering Stein's Gate: the positive presentation of two opposing world's catalysts in order to create a completely new, independent timeline. Through these exploits, the entire world was saved from disaster, and continued on as normal. However, it wasn't long before someone else made the shocking discovery that time travel was, in fact, possible. Players take control of associates of the next scientist who has discovered time travel, and will be worked ragged trying to psychologically live with their choices, sometimes resulting in their not knowing of what they've done. This will be a heavy story-based thriller mystery RP set five years after the anime "Steins;Gate", and is the only one where I'm willing to consider a full-on advanced player list. Due to the heavy implication of story, controlling other people's characters won't be out of the question in certain situations, and it'll involve a lot of cooperation. It'll be more like a big project than an RP, but nonetheless, if it were to finish, it would be absolutely stunning.
* SAO/Log Horizon/Database: All three involve getting trapped inside a simulation, however each one is different in its own way. In Sword Art Online, romance will be more prominent, though of course action and living with the harsh reality that death in-game means death IRL will set a slightly darker tone in comparison to its cousin, Log Horizon. Log Horizon follows the same concept of being trapped inside a game, except you can't die, and instead people live with the fear of being exploited for their abilities. NPCs come to life and suddenly they're enveloped in a new world just like the one they live in. Lastly, there's Database - my own original idea I crafted a couple months ago. Humanity has long since abandoned the "real world", and now 90% of the people on Earth live inside a massive simulation known as "The Database". The Database houses billions of simulations, each suited for whatever the user wishes to experience. However you're not a user, you're an AI. Your name is Firewall, and you're an AI tasked with the duty of locating those who would otherwise exploit the system for their own gains - hackers; terrorists; you're a part of a security program that counters threats such as these. However, when a new, more powerful program is introduced to the system, something goes wrong and soon, The Database is under the program's control, and only you, the remaining members of Firewall who were spared through it's dying acts of allowing sentient thought and being, can fight this newfound evil which is enslaving humanity.
And there you have it! Those are the choices! I might add more if the ideas come to me, but feel free to give your say on which you'd like to see or ask any questions if you're confused.
Sorry for being so late, guys! Didn't think so many people were waiting on me, hehe! I just got a little distracted by a certain PSP game i got recently, that's all!
Ken was about to give some kind of sarcastic remark to the old man and continue on with his speech about how wonderful women are and whatnot, most likely getting him into detention for the afternoon. However, Kansas made her move...
If you were to compare Ken to anything, you could probably describe him best as a dog, in both the positive and negative sense. He had a pure heart, but not always pure motives, and always seemed like a heroic and loyal idiot. You'd have to cut his nuts off in order to get him to stop yapping on about girls, too. But his most redeeming quality was that he was hardworking and willing to listen, at least if you presented something to him that he found interesting (which isn't difficult considering he has a one-track mind).
Climbing off the table with the speed of a cheetah, Ken practically teleports to Kansas' side, smiling with that same old goofy grin of his. "Of course! Now's the perfect chance to set the right flags for your route, Miss Carrington! I screwed up last time, and unfortunately there are no ways to save your game in real life, but that just means I'll try with all I've got! I won't be making the same mistakes again!"
Once again Yutaro gets the sweet satisfaction of Ryoki's feminine grace as her hand gently gazes over his as she takes his business card. For a moment, she looks pleased with herself, as though proud, though this reverts back to her laid back nature within a moment. She smiles at him cheeky-wickedly, as though she had just pulled some sort of joke and was rubbing it in. "Ahah! Now why would I do something like that when I could have you all to myself, hmm?" She asks with an almost impossibly natural wink as a young lady, one Ryoki recognised as a worker here, passed them by. Ryoki took this as her signal to leave, finishing the remainder of her coffee like a shot of scotch.
Setting the cup gently on to the bar, she stands and tucks the business card into her breast pocket, giving it a quick glance to affirm her suspicions. "I think it's about time I took my leave. Sorry to be leaving so soon, honey, but there are still things I need to do today and I just can't afford to sit here and chat all day. That being said, most days of the week I'm free, and I actually frequent the casino you just so happen to work at, so I'm sure we'll be seeing more of each other soon." She says in that playful teasing sort of way as she tucks in the bar stool in which she was seated, leaving a healthy tip on the bar as a friendly gesture to Mochavine's staff. "Thank you for listening."
She debated with herself mentally for a second whether or not she would give him a goodbye blow kiss, but felt that might be pushing her boundaries a bit to far (should she not have already passed them...). So with those parting words, Ryoki bids Yutaro farewell, signing off with a gentle wave as she made her way out of Mochavine and back into the city streets.
'Well, he certainly was interesting... I wonder: when will we meet again, Yutaro Otamura?
Now out and about on the busy Shine City streets, Ryoki made mental note of all the things she had left to do before nightfall. First off, she had to get something for her parents. After all, their anniversary is just around the corner, so she figured why not get them both something special as a sort of "Thank you" present? Of course, in Shine City, there wasn't much that came to mind save a vacation or a free pass to the pool... Wait a minute... what's that smell...?
"!!!"
At that moment, it hit her: flowers! What simpler and more dignified gift to get two loving parents than the best flowers she could afford? It was excellent! The idea was flawless- no, perfect, even! And the number one flower shop in Shine City was, without a doubt, The Enchanted Florist. With that, Ryoki begins her trek towards the flower shop, still lost in thought as to what else she was going to do today.
Sorry for taking so long, Takashi. I kinda got addicted to a new game so I was distracted for about 14 hours of my life. :P I'll write up my reply now (might take an hour though).
Also I think I found a new sexy theme for Ryoki! :3
Still waiting for a time where Ryoki can meet Shou... She is the ONE!
"I'll put it simply, kid." Ken states with a smile, ruffling the boy's hair. "You know how boys and girls when they're little generally keep away from one-another? Well, in time, boys and girls will learn to get along. And when that happens, the boys start to appreciate the sheer beauty of these wonderful, intelligent creatures. In some cases, the girls will even fall for the boys, but you need to work hard for that to happen!"
He grins and crosses his arms, looking rather satisfied with himself. "And when that happens, you'll start paying more attention to things you wouldn't normally pay much attention to. With the girl you like, you'll start noticing things about her you didn't notice before, and see her in a new light. Just don't foresake the fact that she's a living being too! That's one of the worst things you can do! Well, aside from groping them; groping means touching them where they don't like being touched." With a triumphant pose, Ken stands on the table, imitating a heroic figure. "One day, you will learn the true, inner and outer beauty of women! That they're more beautiful than any gemstone, and more valuable than any dime! That, my young friend, is the meaning of life!"
Ken was sitting with a couple of his classmates, engaging in casual conversation, like usual. The people here were fun and they were certainly his friends, but what he was really looking forward to was student council. It was there he was most attached, and there he was most happy. It's not that he didn't enjoy hanging out with these people, it's just he enjoyed the student council and their beautiful bodies much, much more.
"So how are you guys takin' physics?" Ken asks with a cheery smile. Since the topic so far had been about school, he decided on adding to the conversation through a similar topic, in his own way. "Me? I'm doing reeeeeeally well, hehehe! How you ask? Well... let's just say I've been examining some subjects and it really clicked with me." His perverted smile and joyful laugh made it clear he had been thinking about something perverted, probably getting a disturbed look from the girls in the group, but that was OK. He could win them over at a later stage.
No matter how hard she tried, Ryoki couldn't hold back her chuckles at hearing his retort to her pickup line. It was actually refreshing to have someone pull off a line like that with a straight face, added the fact he wasn't particularly embarrassed by her approach made it all the more worthwhile. She knew it, she just knew it; she was right. This boy was more experienced than the rest in the art she had been perfecting for ten years. If she didn't watch her corners, she was bound to be spell-struck, and she couldn't have that just now. For the first time in quite awhile, a boy had made her heart skip a beat. 'Well played, Yutaro. Well played.' She thought, relaxing herself. What was the point in getting all worked up, anyway? She could enjoy this without trying to make it a competition.
Taking a sip of her coffee, she finds herself able to enjoy the steamy beverage much more now that it has cooled some, allowing the hot liquid to further fuel her mind and body without completely burning off her tongue. Yutaro could see clearly now that she wasn't making an attempt at being seductive for the time being, perhaps due to the coffee, though with a woman such as Ryoki, you never know when that could change. Listening to him with intrigue; watching him with interest; mind brimming with inquiry. Despite all the information she had to process, Ryoki was as calm as the air itself, and as carefree as a puppy. She clung to his every word, playing by his rules for the time being.
On the topic of her singing ability, she made sure to assure him that she was an excellent singer in a way the only she could. By addressing two birds with one stone, she decided to invite him to hear her sing live. But first, Ella. "Well I'll be honest, I haven't heard much of her, though from what I've heard, she's good. Very good. Though she doesn't quite suit my tastes as much as others - I'm more of an orchestral-slash-rock-slash-other myself. In all honesty, I'm not even sure what you could classify my main genre as, since I play a wide variety of instruments. Though I will admit I'm a big fan of Ludovico Einaudi. He was my inspiration to learn the violin, piano or keyboard, as well as making music in general. I owe a lot to that man." She seems satisfied with the answer she gave, though before she can give him time to speak, she follows up with that devilish smile of hers. "As for wanting to hear me sing, why not lend me your number and I can call you when I end up doing a show here? I was making plans for either next Tuesday or Saturday, but with your number it makes communication so much easier..."

Another where time goes in the opposite direction, and species begin as gods, and wind backwards to cells, and never learn
to survive.

~Exurb1a
