Vincent frowned when Nikki mentioned the high school. He didn't want to tell the woman that it was possible for them to go back because it wasn't. The man wasn't sure how to tell Nikki what happened with Erin and Haru. ” Nikki I know you have people you care about in the high school but I don't think that's an option anymore. At least while Matt is inside there. I want you to stay here with me. For your own protection. As for the kids they're missing.” he said as he lowered his head. ” Erin thinks of you like a mother as well as Katherine. She thinks of Gracie as a sister. Vincent was watching from a distance from the fence. Several thing happened after the four was chased out of the high school and not for the best either. ” What do you mean that we can't go back? What about Kat and Gracie? What about Nikki? The baby was the only thing close to a sibling that I had. Nikki was like a mother I ever known. We have to go-” a sudden curse word being screamed out loud caused the girl to jump. ” Enough! We can't go back because Nikki wanted to keep Matt from hurting us. Now once we get rested up then we can move to safer ground.” ” Matt wouldn't do that. I hate you! I hate you both!” and with that Erin and Haru ran off into the night toward the high school's location without a trace of where they went. his fist clenched at the memory, only to relax when a hand was placed on his shoulder. Raven nodded as if she knew what he was thinking then pointed toward the opening doors.

The man's mood was lifted then soured again as he noted something was off. In his mouth there was a sour taste and inside his gut a sickening feeling. Both twin watched as the woman walked toward the Monster and lay inside the bed drinking something that she had. The guy's head turn towards his sister's, receiving a nod of everything being clear, he went walked toward the other side of the fence. The some of the guards were yawning while trying to rub sleep from their eyes and others seemed as if they were soundly asleep. The guy slipped inside when one of the men went to awaken the others. Quietly he made his way toward the Monster, making sure to keep quiet as much as possible, then picked Nikki up inside his arms. Anger boiled inside Vincent's chest as the slap mark come into view. He wanted so bad to walk inside and murder Matt yet the only thing keeping him from doing it was laying inside his arms. "Matt, you are an asshole." the words slurred.

” Yeah he is. Don't worry Nikki. I've got you now and I promise you will never be harmed by that man again.” he whispered. “ There's one by that side.” Someone called out which made the man instinctively lower behind the vehicle. After a few footsteps faded he made his move. The right side in the back was cleared so the guy made a mad dash for it, nearly getting sighted as the middle of the runway come closer. The only thing that saved him was some survivors coming into the left, opening doors as soon as they got closer, and dying where they stood. Raven quickly jogged up to them with worry inside her eyes. ” We’re alright. Now let's go home. Tomorrow we can go out again and see if we can find Erin and Haru.” Vincent said before receiving a punch in the arm. ” I know. I'm worried to Raven. But please let's focus on one thing at a time.” they said while walking toward an abandoned trailer park just 5 blocks away from the school. It was big considering how many used to live here and now only a small portion was cleared of walkers. When they finally arrived Vincent placed Nikki in his bed and sat down, waiting for his love to awaken for her drunken slumber.@Wick
