” You're right. Now if you don't mind my leg hurts and my sister has to fix the bungee cords.” the man said as the woman slowly shifted down at his leg with her hands up in the air. She removed the objects and lifted his pant leg. There was bruising and a footprint where it was exactly broken at, so when the sticks were placed his teeth clamped together and his eyes watered, just before the bungee cords were added on. Kyle would get what he deserved. He definitely will get what he deserved within time but first Erin need to be regained.

” When I get my hands on Kyle's neck I'm going to wring it myself.” he said through gritted teeth. Raven rolled her eyes before speaking for what seemed like forever,” Stop being a baby Vincent. It's your own fault. You knew you shouldn't have gotten close to Nikki but no. Geez. Hello there Miss. My name is Raven and this is my twin brother Vincent. Now if you'll excuse us we need to find somewhere to keep safe.”

Vincent leaned against the vehicle as he silently cursed himself mentally. How could he have been so stupid? Where had it all gone wrong? Was it when James was caught or when he promised Nikki to the man, only to plan to stab him in the back? No. None of those were the right answer in the guy’s opinion. The part where he went wrong was trying to wrap everyone inside the school without any worries this wouldn't have back fired and yet it just did. Erin was taken from his grasp again but this wouldn't happen a third time. He no longer wanted Nikki. The man wanted his little sister now. And nothing was going to stop him.

Raven slowly walked towards her brother carrying a pair of crutches from the now dead truck along with a pair of long sticks to use as splints. All they needed was for something to tie the pieces together. The woman walked up to the oldest sibling only to shiver at his cold dead stare. She placed the pieces in place as she heard his voice sound off,” There would be bungy cords in the back of the trick. Wrap the around tightly and let us be off.” So the woman did as she was told.

It took a while before they were out of the city from the west. There didn't seem to be a lot of walkers but there was a figure off to the side of the road. Raven and Vincent changed course when the walkers thinned out and fought their way towards the person. When they were in front of her Vincent faked a worried look.” Are you alright miss?”

” I can't control Clara and no one can really. All you can do is to let her do her own thing and stay out of the way. As for Erin something isn't right. She's darker right now or at least to me. The woman wants to close off her heart and go after them and most likely she won't come back until it's done. Even at the risk of her own life. I advise you leave her alone. You're not Vivian, Kyle. She's dead. Hence you are trying to control something that you don't understand yet. Something that doesn't want to be controlled.” he warned the man.

It was the truth. Matt and Nikki had been at this game for what seemed like forever only to find out there was no hope. When one of them tried a different tactic the darker half wouldn't return back to the high school for weeks at a time. She never took anything but her knives and would end up returning with supplies they very much needed.

” As the killing parts I was never going to hurt you. Erin knew this which was why she interfered in the first place. She trusts easily and you have shown how much you loved Nikki, which added you towards a father figure of shorts, forcing Clara to leave you alone. If the halves don't want to be found than the guards won't find her. They know this and I'm pretty sure none of them wants to find a McGarth anywhere near here, so it won't do any good. You're most likely going to get the lighter half killed inside of helped.” he stated allowing Matt to jump in.

@dabombjkIve noticed. Haru trusts Kyle but he doesn't really trust Alex. At least to a point but the other main feeling he has right now is fear.

@Aintitfun1997 personally I don't how a problem with it as long as you how more of a bond to at least one of the characters. Eventually I think some more of the npcs will die of I can think of a way to have Vincent draw Erin out and then have a fight scene between them. This will be the end of him.

I may just have him kill the guards thinking Raven was murdered by Kyle. Using the bodies to send him a calling card or something. But I would double check with Wick.

Haru frowned as he looked at Kyle. Should he tell the new leader where his loyalty actually lied or not? This was one of the many things that was inside his mind. Better get this disappointment over with now before the guy finds out the hard way when Clara pulls a knife on his ass. The teenager’s hand grabbed onto Kyle's and removed it from his shoulder in a rough short of way.

” I'm only going to say this once stranger so listen up well. I follow Erin's and Clara's orders. Not yours. Not Nikki's. And certainly not Matt’s. And for the recorder I would have killed you before you even touched a hair on the woman's head and I wouldn't have flinched about it. If it wasn't for me keeping Clara away from you when you first arrived I'm pretty sure you wouldn't be here today. Actually you should thank Nikki for the fact that you're still breathing. No. You should be more grateful for Erin.” he said in an angry tone.

The young man looked at Matt and saw his features. He decided to continue no matter the outcome was. The guy turned his head back towards Kyle and continued.” As for not killing anyone that's not your decision asshole. Vincent and Raven are already on her hit list. She's doing it to keep you and the people inside this school safe. You may have lost your child but Erin has lost much more than you have even before this happened and she's losing more because Vincent won't leave her alone. I just had to send Alex to talk to her. Alex of all the people here just to keep her in this place! You're not the only one who's suffering because of Nikki's miscarriage. So trust us or not, I don't really care, but if you ever try anything to that girl I'll kill you myself.” this wasn't a lie. The older men could see Haru was telling the truth as they looked into his eyes.

” Anything else you want? Or are you just going to throw us out of those streets like dogs?”

As Haru walked past Alex it made Alex a little aggravated. He just went off on the boy for no reason. What was that? Either way it was good the younger male hadn't retaliated otherwise there might have been a fight.

Alex decided he didn't want to deal with Haru, Matt, or Kyle so he made the decision to just head to Erin's room to see if she was there. That's when he turned around to see someone having a gag reflex from the smell of guts on him. Alex smelled his shirt and winced from it. He headed to the shower and quickly cleaned up then left for Erin's room. Once he got there he lightly knocked on the door.

The lighter half looked upwards with a frown. She rubbed her eyes and yawned as she slowly opened the door a crack."Haru I'm not changing my mind. I'm going to-"she stopped her sentence as Alex came into view." Why are you here? I mean umm...h hi."the girl said making sure to keep her wrists hidden.

When she first mistook Alex for Haru Alex made a guess of what the rest of her sentence would be, but that wasn't why he was here. He reached to the back of his bag saying, "Hi, Erin. And for your birthday I found this." and he pulled out the stuffed bear and held it in his hands.

Erin looked at him for a second before reaching for the bear." Thanks." Before she could grab it though Alex lifted it away from her hands, "Let me see your wrists first."

" Why would I do that? Wait. That bastard! I'm going to kill Haru."she said through her gritted teeth. She lowered her arms and slowly lifted her sleeves, one cut had bruising on top of it in a hand shape, and the other didn't." They're deep enough to scar but not enough for a quick death. Now may I have my bear or are you going to kiss me?"she said in a 'I dare you' kinda way.

Alex gently grabbed one of Erin's wrist to look closely at the wound. He sighed and was about to hand over the bear before the girl in front of him asked a question. Alex was instantly frozen in shock. He had not expected her to say that one bit. Had this girl in front of him actually liked him at one point. He was just confused now and at a total loss for words.

She sighed." You really didn't know did you? I can't say that I'm surprised. To be honest I was hoping that you wouldn't find out about this Alex. Actually I was hoping to avoid you for a while until I handled Vincent and Raven by killing them but then again you don't feel the same way so I'm no longer worried that you will stop me." pushed said grabbing the bear out of his hands in a gently way. The girl walked over to her bed and placed it in the middle of her sleeping space." There. Now I have something to cuddle with at night."

She sighed before sitting down." How much longer will the parking lot is cleared? I would like to move out as soon as I can."

Alex slightly snapped out of his head in order to at least be able say something. "Erin, you may think you won't have to worry about me trying to stop you, but I am not going to just let you go. Going out alone isn't a good idea, and to just kill those two. Waste of time. Either way you're not going out there alone." He said this as he moved over to a chair in the room and sat down.

She raised an eyebrow." I'm just moving into the parking lot. Where did you get that from? I'm not suicidal Alex."the girl wished she could place her foot in her mouth now." Not anymore anyway."the young woman's legs curled underneath her as she stared at him. She did this for a minute before retrying to make her point." No one wants me around here right now. Not since I share his last name any way and I'm not changing it any time soon. If you're just here to check up on me about what's happened so far then rest assure I'm feeling just fine." she said in a shrug.

Now who of the people that actually matter said they didn't want you here. Look Nikki wants you here. Haru wants you here, Sadie and Micky want you here." He paused for a moment looked down then looked back up and said, "I want you here. Just because of some crappy family member doesn't mean you should leave anytime soon or ever. You said you were gonna kill them. I think that proves your not one of them."

The young woman gave a small smile at this. She was a little bit happy yet something in the back of her mind seemed to scream for her to walk away. To leave everything behind and never look back on this moment ever again, because the moment the young woman would agree would only bring pain to him.” I'm happy that you said that but-”Erin stopped to think of how to phrase this next part as gently as she could.

” We can't work out. There are just too many things that can go wrong Alex. You could get hurt by Vincent or even you could get bitten and I just. I just couldn't be able to handle that. Not to mention your brother and sister need you. Nikki probably wouldn't care if I left or not and Haru isn't my boyfriend so his thoughts don't matter.”her voice come out in a rush which made her head spin. She took a deep breath to let the words seep into the stubborn man’s skull.

Alex didn’t really understand why he was feeling this way. All he knew was that right now Erin was trying to find a way to leave this group. He couldn’t let that happen. ”Erin. If it wasn’t for you being here Sadie, Micky, and I would be long gone. Heading north for Alaska. At first we stayed cause I wanted to deal with those bandits before going. Once they were dealt with I could have left but I didn’t. That’s because you were here. I may be a good liar at times but that isn’t one of them.”

Alex stood up and pulled the chair closer to where Erin sat. ”I may be crap when it comes to emotions on how to notice them or show them, but I know this. I care about you Erin. Let Vincent come. Let Walkers come. I don’t care. If you try to leave I’m gonna follow. I never fulfilled my promise from way back when to always be there for you. Well, now I’m gonna keep that promise.”

Erin was shocked when Alex came closer and even more so when he said that he would follow her. She could imagine the darker half screaming him away or maybe saying something to the effect about being about time Alex said this. But she didn't care, not now since the young woman’s heart was beating hard against her chest, and a blush formed on the girl’s cheeks.

” Please don't joke like that Alex. I won't be able to handle it if you keep this up because I really do like you. I always have and I have a feeling that I always will. So please take your words back because if they are truly false and I start to believe them I'll be crushed.” she stated in a small shaky voice. This was what the young woman had dreamed of and yet here she sat doubting him.

She wanted the man to be hers and hers alone. Only sharing him with his siblings and no one else. So why was there doubt inside her mind? This was something Erin couldn't say for she had no form of an answer.” If what you say is true then there will be another problem in our way. Clara will most definitely not like this and we will have to go slow because I have never done this kind of thing before in my life. Do you still want to risk it?”

”Erin. I’m not joking. You know me well enough to know when I’m serious about something. I’ve never done this sort of thing either, and if Clara doesn’t agree then I know you can convince her. Everything Clara has done has been to protect you. I can assure you and Clara that I will stay by your side forever. Anyway every good thing has some risk involved.” He said while holding his hand out to her.

She nodded and gave a smile. There was something the light half had always wanted to do granted it was some small. She took Alex’s hand and kissed his cheek gently. The girl wasn't in a hurry to make things go fast between them and after all they had all the time in the world. No, not all the time in the world but the time that they had alive. All the young woman knew was that she was going to protect him and the others for as long as she could.” To be honest you can't promise that but I'll still take it Alex. I'll stay inside the school. I promise but I'm rather famished from my withdraw so if you don't mind accompanying to the cafeteria I would like to get something to get. If not I will understand.”

She got up and felt the blood rush to her head. The girl was dizzy but she was able to keep steady. Alex stood up with Erin. He hadn’t expected the kiss, but it was a welcome surprise. ”Erin, it’d be my pleasure to go with you to the cafeteria.” As he said this he laced his fingers together with hers so that they would be holding hands as they walked.
