Also! I want to address another piece of lore. In this world, medicine is very, VERY affected by the presence of healing magic. A lot of times (specially in bigger cities) temples and hospitals/medical centers are basically the same thing. Most of the people that run temples are elementals and thus have access to healing through water and light. So it's common for someone who lives in the Royal City to go the temple when they're sick, to the area dedicated to these healing element gods.

In smaller villages though, there actually may be a separate temple and medical center. Keep in mind, the medical center will still mostly be run by religious water/light elementals. Villages that don't have these elementals are more likely to rely on herbalists and apothecaries.

I'd be more than happy to continue our GoT discussion (I don't get to geek out about it since I don't know many people who are into it T.T), but let's take to the PMs.
@Not Fishing
@Tackytaff KnightofDoom will work on a female.

@Holy Soldier I think that the GMs already explained this. Because it's the Mother and Father, it'll be men and women. Though there's been no consensus on the actual presence or acceptance of LGBTQA+ people, we can assume they're probably present. They just aren't wingmanned by the gods.

That's entirely accurate! There are LGBT people in the world, though specially in Orewyn and Galinas they're really looked down upon. It has most to do with the fact that their religion focuses on a husband and wife. The Mark is supposed to reflect this relationship, too. A lot of the prejudice against same-sex relationships in this world is due to both the Mother and Father's opposite-sex marriage, and the fact that two Destined are always opposite sex. But as @Sisyphus said, the biggest reason we went for heterosexual pairings is because we figured it would've been a headache to pair every one evenly, and it might've come to narrowing down who you could've ended with. This way, the mistery is spread evenly.

That said if you guys want to go that route, you're absolutely more than welcome to! BUT that means that you will not find your Destined and will lose your powers.

@Tackytaff Done!

Brienne of Tarth is my queen diss her at your peril D:<
@Not FishingTaxes are entirely determined by the Queen.
@Snagglepuss89No, they wouldn't actually meet Dairmud since she's already on her way to the Festival. Just her family. I thought that'd be kind of cute.
That's got me thinking, hey! If anyone's character is northbound, I'd love it if they passed through the Granger's Plenty, my character's family's inn. We could collab!

And to address the ratio, I think we'll be good. I'm waiting on @Tackytaff to make corrections to a proposed character, and @Emma promised a female character. KnightofDoom is planning on making another female, too. We'll be good :D

@Panic Bellmare's been added to the map!
@Emma Air and water are both good.
@EmmaIf you want to play a female character, you absolutely can! I can talk to BlueAjah, since she was planning on making another character if she needed to.
@Mistress DizzyNaw, there's someone else waiting for approval. After that, we need to more female characters, both which will be played by the other GMs.

@EmmaThanks, but there's really nothing for you to do. But if you'd like, you can start working on your first post! Basically, everyone can focus on getting their characters to the Festival. I'm trying to get the introduction post ready for the IC.
