<Snipped quote by Digmata> So far the pilot sheet is looking good. Looking forward to the Framewerk sheet.
By the way, did you like the way the RP last time started out quickly with the training mission? Or would you prefer if there's more time set aside for free time or other events before the mission?
I think some moment for the characters to interact with each other should be made before the training mission. Maybe something to rattle them and explore their personalities before go in.
Heck we could change the training mission into simulated battles to give everyone a feel on how their teammates fight.
It's very late hear so the next time you'll hear from me, I would be posting the mech. Had a good idea on what I'm going for.
Minerva Subject 13, Harbinger 21 years old (03/14/XXXX) Skilled Pilot Theme Song
Overview:
Minerva is the thirteenth and final creation of Project Olympus, an ambitious project that sought to create humanity's greatest warriors through a combination of cloning and gene-splicing techniques. Due to the unique goal of her creation even by the project's standards and the fact that she is made far later than her 'siblings', she spent most of her nurturing period mostly isolated and under the watch of scientists until one of the clones found out about her existence introduced (dragged) her to the family who greeted her with open arms.
The happiness she felt however won't last long as a fleet of Cruxi warships suddenly invades the usually hidden and obscure space habitat where Project Olympus is being held leading to its destruction and massive casualties despite everyone's best efforts. In the aftermath, the surviving members of Project Olympus, both scientists and clones alike, went their separate ways with Minerva working under Earth's military as the black ops operative. During these days, Harbinger served without complaint either as the one who clean-ups the incompetence of her superiors or as a weapon against Cruxi. Due to some endorsements, it is decided that Minerva is to be transferred to the experimental Framewerk task force as one of its pilots.
Who did you lose?
The closest thing, would be the woman who I am supposed to surpass. How can you chase a ghost?
I miss Hera’s nagging voice dragging me to enjoy life.
I miss Ares barging into my room for some stupid challenge.
I miss Apollo and his terrible songs.
I miss my siblings even if they are idiots.
I miss the researchers even if sometimes I felt they were trying too much.
I miss those days.
But if I pretend that they never happened then it would mean that I lost no one.
I miss nothing.
I don't deserve it.
Psychological Testimony
Minerva presents herself as an anti-social woman who prefers working alone. She is cold, brutally honest and is only focused on the tasks assigned to her. She takes immense pride and confidence in her ability as a pilot that she relentlessly hones at every moment she gets, sometimes without regard to her own health and limits. When fighting the Cruxi she is shown to do so with great enthusiasm performing movements that can be considered borderline suicidal if not for their effectiveness. Interviews showed that she had developed instinctual hatred to the Cruxi, delighting in the misery she could inflict upon them.
Most concerningly however is the fact that she holds herself to a mercilessly high standard, gritting her teeth for failure even in reasonable circumstances. It is like she is chasing the legend of Athena Rivera that she put in her head and always finding herself lacking. It had gotten worse since she went to join the military.
While I’m meant to be subjective, I do believe that my personal evaluation should be heard.
She’s a child who never truly left that day if the attack scarred us then it built her for worse. She's a child who lost everything because she didn't want to remember that day again. We tried to help her, we swear we tried. But even the one time me and the surviving siblings found her, she would just reject our hand and flee to whatever mission the military is willing to toss her into. She is hurting herself acting like that.
And believes she deserves every single pain she takes, that thing she could do to make everything right is to break herself to her limits then bring as many Cruxi with her as possible.
Please help her. Save our little sister from herself and the ghost she made her bed with.
-Dr. Aphrodite also known as Olympus Subject 6
Background Potential
Clone -Minerva is the last clone of Project Olympus and the culmination of their combined genius. Her base template is taken from Athena Rivera, one of the earliest heroes of the Cruxi who determined the nature of the threat and handed them their initial string of losses. Due to the insertion of foreign genetic material to enhance her capabilities, along with stress her originally brown hair begins showing signs of rapid greying, a physical characteristic Athena Rivera never developed.
Genetically Engineered -While most of her genes came from the late hero, the scientists at Olympus made an intensive genetic modification to Minerva's body armed with the knowledge they garnered from the previous twelve test subjects. Despite this, the effects of her artificial birth and modifications are apparent in her reduced ability to empathize.
Perks
Athletic -Due to a combination of genetic modifications along with specialised training and tests, Minerva’s body is capable of consistently performing physical feats that would match a trained athlete’s personal records. In addition to this, her body recovers much more quickly and she gets tired less faster than her peers.
Memento -Minerva always carries a red string bracelet on her wrist, the only item from Olympus she carried with her. It is the first gift given to her by Hera and a reminder of why she is still breathing. Taking this bracelet from her is one of her known triggers for her to be outright angry on the spot.
Enhanced Uniform -Minerva’s Framewerk uniform incorporates some elements of Project Olympus pilot clothing the most notable of which are the nano-tech implants incorporated in her bodysuit, this allows for easier integration with her Framework. It is also capable of turning into simple tools and interacting with other electrical systems.
ARGO Medium Frontliner Framewerk
Overview -Argo is a custom made heavy weight Framewerk piloted by Minerva known for its surprising movement despite its category. Described as an armored fighter plane with legs, it is known to dance around the battlefield raining bullet fire with its minigun before getting up close and personal to its enemies in order to rip it apart with its claws or torso. Eyewitnesses report the Argo as something akin to a hound, relentlessly harassing and chasing its prey to the ends of the earth.
Primary -The Argo utilizes two simple sets of weapons, first is a detachable minigun who shoots a devastating amount of bullets to destroy swaths of enemies at a distance before ditching it to engage in close quarters where it would attempt to tear its enemies apart with its claw-like fingers.
-Gatling Gun -Ripper Fist
Secondary -The true beauty of the Argo however lies in its precise placement of its boosters. Aside from its main thruster, the entire Framewerk is littered with miniature boosters placed around its body allowing it to perform turns and maneuvers. Combined with a matured MMORPG system, the Framewerk is more than capable of evading most of what Cruxi could bear.
Richard kept standing as he looked around the bat. A habit from his previous affliation and one that he believe will serve him well while he work here. He decided to stay silent when the conversation suddenly shifted to their previous illicit jobs, idle conversations aren't exactly the proper place to reveal himself. If he return home with only the boss knowing his actual surname then his 'plan' went without a hitch.
The room is a familiar sight to Richard, having memorized it on the likely chance he gets hired, he is still standing on the back of the couch letting others enjoy the comfort. Scrolling through his phone, he found a new chat group just above the few chats he left on read.
"It takes less than second before a routine suddenly turns into a mess." Richard agreed, recalling a memory where he is sent to attack something than be a guard. Stupid talismans and killzones, he is thankful that he wasn't alone or he would dead by the sheer amount of bullets they unleashed.
Especially if we're dealing with unknowns, we could at least ask...
His thoughts will be interrupted by Selene asking what a phone is. He heard rumours about the magus being so up in their search for the Root that they basically became tech illiterate but even this as the boss said is absurd.
"That's a phone basically a non-magical communication tool but also a versatile tool depending on the model. I could teach on it's uses later, its not my first time teaching someone how phones work." he offered to Selene as he showed his own phone, a pretty old touchscreen phone that seemed to have some layers of magecraft on it.
Cristina wants to believe that she makes a living of evading certain death as if he is a familiar dance partner, she almost died at the dam, she almost died at the party, she almost died, she almost died... Well, she made her point.
And right now, the same is going on and yet despite that something is different.
When she finds herself in this situation, her opponents due to either arrogance or pride is usually treating her like a game or a collateral to the real objective. Even her sister is not immune to such act but not this pig, not this girl. She could feel it.
She could feel her fear.
She could her desperation.
And like a reflection of a mirror suddenly manifesting in the real world, Cristina couldn't help but receive the blow in shock as she finds herself kneeling to the agressiveness.
"Disgusting, are trains in the Wild West really that bad?" Thespian complained as she covered her nose from the disgusting odor, she needs to work on it later it would be embarrassing if she taken down because her nose is too sensitive after all. Taking a deep breath she opened her eyes at the shadow yelling about the awesomeness of riding trains which she reluctantly agree considering what kind of train they are standing it.
Still it was a horrible reaction to getting shot, she glad that Shadows are not human because she get a headache otherwise.
"Understood, one roasted King coming up!" the fox masked woman declared as she called upon her other self who moved towards the beast with a stride harmless casualty even petting the beast as he stood there distracted to the klin she is sitting upon.
"Infernal Instrument: Bronze Toaster!"
As soon as yelled her moved, the klin suddenly went alive widening it's jaw like door as it devour the oversized lion in its face. Scorching hot flames inflicted the lion as burns began spreading to its desperate trashing body.
"Is that enough support for everyone, your excellency?" she asked with joking bow as she spins her staff, ready to launch herself with anyone who wants to charge.
"I suppose it's now my turn, you may call me Richard, Richard Norton." The brown haired teen spoke with a smile on his face face as he looked at everyone's faces and commit it to his memory.
"Admittedly, I don't have much experience when it comes to being detective but I've been a bodyguard since I was young. Served a lot of masters with a spear until I decided to go here." Richard spoke in a professional tone as he tapped his pen, revealing Tsukisasu in its true form before turning it back into a pen.
"I also have some experience with making boluses but that's more of a hobby. The best analogy in my head would be I am a homecook if the actual practitioners are chefs in a restaurant complete with degrees and training.
"I've been walking around the place but yes I could use some local eyes." Richard admitted as he looked at Keith before taking another bolus and tossing it to his mouth.
Before coughing heavy and dumping the remaining coffee on his mouth.
"Fuck, that one has the ghost pepper." he spoke as he drank the coffee once again. He put the case back to his bag. "Alright that's enough playing roulette with my taste bags.
He would look at Derald and notice some signs of having sickly constitution, he is not a medical professional but he had picked up a few things listening to the lessons of one of his charge. Along with the first aid lessons he took as a bodyguard.
"That looks bad dude, I knew a place that sells a good ginseng. Not exactly medicine but they should help on throat of yours."
