Um, KillAllKebab, you can't have that large of a population. Maximum for the American theater is 100,000. You bring it over that, not to mention having significantly more people than anyone else.

The entirety of a population isn't all military dedicated. 100,000 isn't all that large given he's claiming all of Lousiana with a modern population of 4 million. By all standards, a tenth of the population can safely be in the military under certain conditions, providing they're not warrior nomads or trying to build a modern industrial lifestyle with very non-industrial means. As well, a tenth of that would safely be only what they'd be able to deploy in offensive operations without jeopardizing home.

The way I was thinkin', is that Slovenia and Croatia became independent after Austria joined Germany, but Germany still has a grip on them for its ports. So Slovenia and Croatia were still part of Austria for a while, and are now independent but influenced by Germany.

So, I have a few quick questions I kept forgetting to ask. What exactly is the status of Italy's overseas possessions? The Baltic coastline and the Greek Aegean islands in particular. Libya and the islands were ceased after the Italo-Turkish War, 1911-1912. However, since the Ottomans invaded Italy, I assumed those were retaken? I mean, it is very obvious Libya was. Northern Dalmatia in RL Croatia was given to Italy after The Great War, did the Croatians/Bosnians/Serbians/Yugoslavians/Whoever manage to take those from Italy or would Italy still hold them? Wondering in case I can explore what those lands would be like.

Even if they were Turkey's initial expansion under Suleiman would have reversed the course of these gains. Back in the early seventies Suleiman wanted to embark on an over ambitious campaign to turn the Mediterranean into a Turkish lake. He got as far as Italy in Europe and I think up to or into Algeria before Ottoman expansion just sort of took a shit and started backpedaling. I think Greece eventually had to be sold, or the British came in and liberated it (I'm not certain on this since Ottoman Greece lays claim to at least three different noncanonical situations) and the Balkans no doubt probably revolted out around the time Italy seized independence, if not briefly entered protection status under Germany briefly.

@Durandal - EVerything looks fantastic, but could you please de-God Mod this line for me? " is able to amass vast amounts of resources compared to various other states" ... it's kind of saying, "my nation can produce LOADS AND LOADS OF STUFF, WAY MORE THAN YOU GUYS," which I don't inherently have a problem with, but someone no doubt will. Just erm, I don't know, dull it down a little. Something like "is one of the main producers of raw materials", that way it leaves breathing room.

Not to mention such over enthusiastic production would lead to criminal deflation and thus crash the economy when everyone starts loosing money when the value of their whatever drops well below what they need to live. Sure, you could say, "WE PRODUCE WAY MORE THAN ANYONE" but at the same time you're also saying, "Our economy is basically fucked because flooded market".

Yea well the section is there for a reason now, and I would have moved it there anyways. Might as well keep OOC "cleaned up" and use a potentially under-used section of the thread.
