Yea, it's 1980 but otherwise the armory is either set back or not actual Soviet-style equipment. For sure guns like the Mosin or anything from or before the twenties is in. Otherwise after it gets pretty murky.

China has adopted some older Russian equipment into its army, but in general they use stuff unique to themselves, sorta. They have their own assault-rifle and handgun, and they adapted and reproduce a Chinese version of the Mondragon rifle.

Also no Jets and modern computers and the like. If you're totting radios they're like those from the second world war. The US, Spain, and China are the only nations permitted to use Jets. So far.
