Current Its a fun feeling to just sit and think about what to do for responses. The flipside is feeling locked in place, waiting for another to go first on something.

You ever take a look at the forum board, not see anything of ready interest, and decide to just go about your day? Figured I'd see if a new game was interesting, nope, ah well.

Writer's block is a pain, but if I happen to owe anyone apost, I'll be working on them tonight, hopefully. Might go surfing, see if any games catch my attention.

Bio

I already did an earlier introduction, but this is something one could always see, so let's roll.

Serene is the pen name that I use over on my old G+ account, which if you're able to find the account before the site shuts down, is Serene Selphia, but no fancy url, lol. But to those I'm close enough to, my nickname is Chris, and if I ask you to not use it, its nothing personal, I'm just not ready for that level of friendliness. That isn't to say I'm not a friendly person, just that I can be a bit professional when it comes to stuff. I've been rping since like...2011 I think? If I could find the Minecraft rp forums I started on(yes those were a thing, it was actually full of good rpers, but all good things come to an end of course), I'd have a precise date.

I roleplay a lot of things, well, that was the old system. About four years back, I settled down in a roleplay community on G+ called Temple of Glory, and began to stick to just one character who I kept working on, using other characters as I felt the need. That was my current primary character's father, a character I'll call the Professor for now, as I intend to post a version of his character sheet later. Probably when doing so wouldn't spoil what became of him in a storyline. Anyway, after a point I burned out as him, and switched focus to his daughter, who I use primarily in the old roleplay hub I come from. The Good Doctor, and here, no spoilers, mostly because ahaha, I'm shy about that.

I love a lot of series, but my heart goes out mainly to Rune Factory, Sonic, Mega Man, Metroid, Mario, Pokemon, and Duel Monsters. Especially Rune Factory and Sonic, though lately I've fostered a love for the Nasuverse, Fate Grand Order is a fun time. I love to read a variety of things, and I'm always online unless sleeping, so feel free to drop me a line if you need it. While I'm relatively new to the site here, I'm an rp veteran, and a skilled writer, as you'll see whenever I post the Doctor's current profile.

Ah right, more on me. I'm a college senior presently, I just had my capstone for my history degree wrapped up, and I'm proud of my progress. While I am a loner by nature(I mean my writing often keeps me trapped in my room to meet paper deadlines), I'm still a sociable person, and if you can't reach me here, my Discord is Serene Selphia#1064. So I suppose that's a bit of a spoiler, but to who, I won't say. Just be forewarned, if you ask me about a character of mine, there's a risk I'll write a lot, so make sure you're totally fine with that.

In terms of roleplay, while I do mainly fantasy/science-fiction, I can roll with just about anything(as far as I know), but if I tell you its not working for me, don't take it personally. I'm a fairly detailed writer, and in terms of style, I'm good with both combat and non-combat related narratives, I mean, my current main was built for combat initially, whereas her father is more the sociable type. The most detailed things tend to when I describe the world around, or when writing profiles for characters I adore. Basically, if I'm in tune or really love something, you could get a lot. I once wrote about twenty pages on a google doc in two hours because I loved it so much. Weird flex sure, but you can understand it. I don't look for much in rp partners, so long as you can write me enough that I understand either what you're doing, or what's going on, I'm usually good. I'll generally drop a line if I need more information.

I love learning, so if you ask me about something, and I don't have an answer, I'll gladly take the time to do at least a basic amount of research. And if you're ever stumped for ideas, drop me a line, I'm always glad to help fellow veterans or the newer folk. Heck, at one point for a friend's group I wrote an entire(albeit unused) document full of random plot ideas for the group drawn from throughout film and video games. Point is, if you need someone to talk to, unless I'm in a bad mood, or its a bad time(aka I'm about to go to bed, or in class), I'm always up for at least a quick chat. I do take commissions, so if you want a fanfiction written, give me a holler, or if you just want a custom story about a character of mine, or just ask for them to give their input on something in a non-serious setting. Still debating what to set prices for, or if I work totally free...I mean I should charge something, but anyways, wew, talk about a ramble, eh?

Anyways, that's about it. I'll probably rewrite this as needed.
Restating ways to reach me as needed!

Thanks, I'll start working on a sheet tomorrow, since its about three am here, and while I do have playlists of horror content to watch, I can't finish em tonight, lol.

Thanks again though, looking forward to things!
Heh, good jokes.

I get the concern with the can of wyrms that would open up. But definitely curious and wanting to explore, to see if there's a larger reason why she's stuck there, beyond just a failed jump home. If she was anything like an old anti-villain I played, she'd be the latter, but definitely the former here. Sure, she may want to get home, but there's the crux of missing something major, and a chance to help someone out. If that makes sense of course? Plus there's the factor that she's basically marooned in space, and at the mercy of whatever, or whoever, finds her ship drifting. And if say, the good guys were to find her inside the part of her ship that still has sufficient oxygen, she'd be indebted to them saving her life, and well, she takes repaying life debts seriously. There's also the matter that even if she had the means to punch a hole to another universe, she'd want to make sure that doing so wouldn't cause severe issues for the realm she's leaving behind. She might be depressed and have anxiety due to being away from her homeland, but she's not a mean person. Unless its a video game being played, I make no promises.

And don't worry, she speaks English, and a few other languages(like her race's native tongue), so understanding her is possible. If jarring since well, non-nonchalant alien who when alone talks to herself too much. And may be addicted to caffeine. Hope this helps, really and truly. I should probably stop being lazy and join the Discord, tbh.

Edit: Or not, Discord link seems to have expired, whoops.
Thanks, I figured the GM would either be busy or asleep, since its really late, lol. Thanks again though.

Traditional in her dragon form, but she won't enter it for plot reasons(lacks knowledge, plus too straining). So she has a human form that she's used to, and looks nice(I lack fan art since my funding for commissions is small)

Well, aside from her kind's innate magic that's a lot weaker due to being in a universe without a connection to the source of her kind's power(ironically the verse the magic is based on is akin to the Order side, if prone to getting messy in high amounts), I really was just looking at what her prime incarnation has going for them as their big thing, which is technomancy, or technology manipulation. Or as its in my notes "Machinecraft." And while nice, is kinda useless if your space ship is out of parts to repair multiple failing systems. And even more useless in worlds where the only piece of tech is your ship, and your suit plus whatever can be assembled from accessible materials.

Sorry if that all was confusing, but hope it helps. I myself should be on for another hour, but if ease of communication is needed, I can join the Discord, was planning to, but I get spooked easily and stage fright is...not fun.
Howdy, I saw this was active and open to newcomers, so color me interested. I uh, do have a question, since while I haven't looked through the CS tab, I did read the entire OOC thread over the course of the past hour, and while I saw Grim, I was uh wondering if it would be alright to do a concept I've been toying with as of late. Draws from existing work of mine, just tweaked for a series I'm in the process of writing.

Fair warning, if this seems awkward phrasing wise, I keep rewriting and trying to reword my idea, and well, yeah. I'm a shy writer and historian, and I get nervous easily.

Basically, the concept is that a space dragon whose people could take on human form, is adrift on her space ship after her last failed attempt to fly home resulted in significant damage to her home away from home. Isn't from this universe, her last attempt stranded her in the universe, and also if she wasn't already cut off from the source of her kind's power, she is now. And thus has to rely on what her body can produce to keep going. May or may not have technomancy for her main gimmick, not that it does her much good on a space ship that's barely running on fumes.

...Okay so uh yeah, world orphaned dragon woman who's adrift in space, is probably low-key depressed, but who is a good soul. If prone to aggressive behavior due to issues with opening up. If the idea of an alien from a different universe is not okay, I understand, it was just the first idea I felt might work, I have others I can try. I suppose the option of having her be from this universe is doable, but it would just require me reworking things accordingly.

Sorry for the text wall of stuff, this was much longer than intended, and well, yeah. Its also late on my end, and I'm ill, so yay.
James Moriarty

Everything had gone exactly as planned, and the bait had been taken. Each piece was in their place, and would be playing their parts out while a certain mastermind played his own role. It was enough to make a king of crime smile, even dance in excitement. But the show had begun.

Outside the pier administration office waited another servant, dressed in his usual attire for once, rather than his bar attire, a cane clutched in one hand, his other empty for the moment, his own weapon away, after all, it wouldn't be proper just yet. Yes, that was James Moririty, waiting for the person before him to leave, so he could play his part, that of a concerned citizen. After all, who knew what manner of unsavory creature, or potential patrons lay within the recent discovery. For the moment, he had his back to the approaching duo, but he knew that they would come, Holmes wasn't one for ignoring a mystery. All he had to do...was wait.

Having an unhealthy addiction to caffeine can cause plenty of negative effects. And for the young tech heiress, that had come in the form of being unable to sleep the night prior. Instead, after returning from antics after the Zoo, and exchanging numbers with the magus she had met there, she'd done some other stuff, and then, spent the rest of the night working. Some of it was spent writing up a report about the successful summoning and the contact made, to send to her father in hopes of receiving clear instructions as to what she was to do there, but afterwards, she'd begun tinkering with computer software in her quarters, letting Da Vinci do whatever she wanted, as dangerous as that might have been, while she worked in her own bed. Eventually though, the crash came from the copious amounts of coke and pepsi and who knew what else consumed, and she'd fallen asleep, laptop powering down automatically a short time later. And eventually was knocked onto the floor, or hopefully moved by someone else, while she tossed and turned. It was now whatever time, and she was dead to the world, snoring away, until something happened, or someone disturbed her...

@1Charak2
I sniff the air, attempting to see if I can smell anything, and if not, I continue onward, searching for any sign of food, but also look for signs of danger, such as loose rocks that could cause me to fall, or sudden drops. But finding food is crucial, and I scan the trees for the sign of any hanging fruit as well.
Of course, I understand. Gonna try and be on the forum more, don't know what's been making me feel so driveless as of late, but could just be the aftermath of graduating and all.
I hope this works, if not, I'll make what edits I can. Been on and off with illnesses.
I search around to make sure I have materials to fasten the stone to the wood, and if so, I attempt to form some into spears, and if any are viable enough, into instruments for cutting future materials. Now and again, I glance around, wondering if the safety would last or not.
Sorry, meant to write in sooner.

I'm back and stuff, things have just been a bit...weird here. Motivation in general has been rough, but let me write something, to restore progress.
