Why is Daigo's name misspelled? lol
Human CS
Name: Daigo Kumon Gender: Male Age: 16 Nationality: Japanese Appearance: Personality: Only the strong deserve to survive, or at least that's what Daigo believes. This belief stems from a personal observation he made one day. Throughout history, the world has been ruled by the strong, with the weak being kept firmly under their thumbs. He also observed that there are too kinds of strength in the world: strength gained through one's birth, and the rare occasion of strength that is attained by reaching out and taking it for oneself. It is this belief that drives Daigo to do the things he does and say the things he says, no matter how harsh or cruel it makes him appear to be. This obviously makes it rather difficult for others to get along with him, but if they endure his attitude for long enough, they will discover a person with a surprisingly kind heart buried beneath his seemingly strength-obsessed exterior. Brief History: Daigo grew up in a rural neighborhood, a small town where everyone knew one another by name. People there were always kind and friendly, not a speck of cruelty to be found. Of course, good things never last, and neither did this. One day, when Daigo was 9 years old, some big corporate types showed up and soon after, everyone was forced to move out of their homes. Daigo didn't understand it at the time, but the corporation had essentially bought up the land so that they could build some big headquarters there to expand their business. Forced to watch his childhood home be torn down, Daigo had an epiphany that day. He realized that only those with strength ever seemed to have power, and that they always used it to trample over the weak. The realization angered him, enough so that from that day forward, he began to seek strength and power for himself so that he could never be trampled over again like before. With such determination, Daigo managed to achieve a fairly well-off lifestyle, but it wasn't enough. In the back of his mind, he wanted to become stronger than that corporation so that he could completely destroy it. Of course, such power was completely out of reach for a kid. Through this time, his partner digimon had managed to temper much of his anger. Then the emails started coming. Daigo ignored them at first, certain they were a waste of time. But finally, after being fed up with receiving them, he clicked on one believing that a response would finally make them stop. Digivice Color: Red and Gold Theme Song Voice Actor: Will Friedle
Digimon CS
Name: Elecmon Nickname: (optional) Gender: Male Picture: Attribute: Data Type: Mammal Specials Attacks: Super Thunder Strike (Shoot electric bolts from its tails), Body Attack (Smacks foes with its electrically charged tails), Lightning Knife (Stealthily releases three knives of electricity) Personality: Strong and loyal for the most part, Elecmon generally keeps to himself unless he's offering some nugget of wisdom. He sticks with Daigo loyally, believing that it is his duty to be Daigo's friend so that the boy won't be completely alone in a world he believes is very much still following the law of survival of the fittest.

>And nice of you to ignore everything else. EDIT: Funny you mention that, my point was that judging her based on another character was also >not very good. >Son of the edit: Screw it, not replying further on the topic of Kari Let me clarify something before we drop it. My points against Kari mainly revolved around her backstory, and not because of any of the other characters, Davis notwithstanding (for the record, I take back the point I made about him since you're absolutely right, it wasn't fair to Kari). I was merely observing that the points against TK are mostly because of Patamon, so it seemed like misplaced anger or something. If I was wrong about that, then I apologize for that as well. And with that said, the subject is now officially dropped. SO... my favorite series is Frontier. Yeah I said it, wanna fight about it? XD
>TK's partner could fight a Mega without backup at Ultimate. Sounds like your issue is more with Patamon than TK. *shrugs* Addendum: I mean, that's like saying you hate Wormmon because Ken was such a tool. It's not his fault his partner was a jerk. So it's not really TK's fault that Patamon was so OP, either.
>One of the main character's little sister. Cute, happy-go-lucky, gets one of the Devas to be her partner out >of sheer adorableness, gets babied by all the other characters and can have her Digimon bypass right from >rookie to ultimate. Henry's sister (forgot her name) right? Well, all that aside, I'm pretty sure we can agree that the series itself handled the crests better than how we've done it so far.
Kari is so much worse than that and you know it. The fact that she keeps being put on a pedestal every time the story focuses on her like she's some sort of messiah for the Digital World should be more than an indication of that. Oh, and characters fighting over her affection in Adventure 02 definitely isn't helping her case (looking at you, Davis/Daisuke).
>Fight me. I call 'em like I see 'em. Listen to a description of the character for a moment. A young girl who happens to be the sister of the main hero, potential love interest to another of the heroes, possesses the most powerful virtue thing of any of the others and because of that the heroes and villains practically tear up a city trying find her and use her power. Oh, and a few years later creatures from a dark realm kidnap her and take her their world because she is the hope of their world. Tell me that doesn't sound like the most fan-ficcy self-insert thing you've ever heard.
>I don't think Alika covers a deadly sin. Gluttony? Except he gluts himself of happiness or friendship or something like that. Maybe Greed >works, but it is a Greed for attention/friendship/the spotlight. And that's kind of the problem. The reason the crests worked in Digimon Adventure was because the characters were written around them. Here it's the opposite, where we already had our characters in place except now we're trying to ham-fist the crests into their personality because they weren't planned for ahead of time. Adventure 01 didn't have that problem because the characters were essentially written with their crests in mind from the get-go. Well, except for Kari but she's kind of a Mary Sue anyway so she doesn't count.
I don't know, it seems like this idea is more flawed than we think it is. Just because we're able to cast Pride in a better light doesn't mean the same thing for any of the others. Just to list them out, here they are: 1. Pride: Already covered 2. Greed: Unless it's greed for knowledge or, in Fullmetal Alchemist's case, friendship, I don't see it working. 3. Envy: Pretty much just the same damn thing as Greed. 4. Lust: Lusting for power, fine, I guess. Doesn't mean you can make it sound like a good thing. 5. Sloth: Yeah this one is just... eh. 6. Wrath: Doable, if you're talking about a revenge-driven character. But that's about it. 7. Gluttony: You seriously think you make this a good thing? Good luck with that. And as I already said, I just don't think any of these fits Daigo at all.
That might work for Nonna, but I don't see how Greed/Envy can be done like that, especially with someone like Daigo who only cares about strength more than anything else.
