Now THAT'S what I call a Keyblade Master!
Oswald stayed silent, choosing to commit the mission briefing to memory instead of introducing himself. He could do introductions a little later, after he fully understood his next mission. Though speaking of the mission, something about the briefing was contradicting the facts. The King had insisted that the he mission was a non-combative one, but Oswald found that hard to believe. Firstly, if this mission was non-combat, then why send seven, count 'em, seven wielders of the Keyblade to take part in it? If the mission was really just a simple investigation of something that amounted to a glorified glitch, then Oswald could have easily done it without the need to whisk away other people from their homes to accompany him. Secondly, why supply said Keyblade Wielders with healing potions and other first aid items if the King didn't expect them to be needed? Oswald began to suspect that this was not a "non-combat" mission at all, and that the King was suspecting the same thing. Of course, he never spoke a word of these thoughts, but just listened intently.

Then the King asked if anyone had any questions. Oswald could have brought up the things he had thought of. He didn't, though, instead choosing to once again remain silent for the time being. He'd already asked plenty of questions since waking up and didn't want to be the one holding up the mission by asking dozens more. Besides, if he really wanted to know something, he could probably consult those Journals he found and get an answer that way.
So yeah, Lingering Will is every bit the nightmare I thought I he would be. Challenged him way earlier than I meant to because I didn't know he appeared in Disney Castle. I thought he'd show up at the very end of the Cavern of Remembrance, so when something else appeared in Disney Castle I checked it out early on out of curiosity. Needless to say when I found myself in the Keyblade Graveyard I was like "Oh shit... I am so fucked right now." LOL
In the Library, Oswald had found a series of very helpful journals. They more or less chronicled every single major event that happened concerning the Heartless and those Nobody things. They were penned by one Jiminy Cricket, and while Oswald had no idea who that was, he silently thanked them in his mind for writing these journals, otherwise trying to read up on what's been happening would have taken a lot longer.

He was about halfway into one of the Journals when he heard voices enter the Library. One was the King, and the other was a high-pitched voice that could only belong to one of the Chipmunks, Dale in this case. Oswald peaked from behind a book shelf to watch them approach a computer. The rabbit silently approached but said nothing, instead he remained hidden and listened to what was being said. After the conversation, Oswald quickly made his way back to the journals, bookmarked where he left off and closed the book. Once the King was gone, Oswald followed suit and exited the library into the Colonade. Out there, he spotted two familiar faces and one he didn't know.

"Donald! Goofy!" he exclaimed with a wave before running up to them. According to those journals he looked at, the two of them have been very busy, playing really important roles along side that Sora person, "I can't believe it. You two went and became big time heroes while I wasn't looking. I guess I've got some catching up to do, huh?"

I hate that one as well. In reality, most of them are really, really hard.

HA! Got it! Got the little shit kicker, finally! Had to fight Sephiroth earlier than expected to use the Fenrir but goddamnit I finally beat the motherfucker! Only ones left now are Number 10 (the one where you have to guess which is the real one and kill it in 55 secs) and Number 12 (Twilight Town Old Mansion, defeat the clones) and I'm DONE with this godforsaken side quest!
Which mission is number 8?

Is that the one located where you fight the dude with the guitar?

Cause if so, the method I found was berserk charge and just jump and do infinite aerial combos.

Number 8 is the one outside Yen Sid's tower where you have keep the bastard in midair for 85 hits. Like I said I tried Berserk Charge Aerial Combos but after reaching around 65 he just automatically starts falling down faster than I can reach him.
So does anyone have any actual good methods for completing Mushroom No. 8? I tried both of the supposed "foolproof" methods, those being:

1. Fatal Crest + Berserk Charge + Fantasia
2. Master Form + Berserk Charge

And neither of those methods are working for me. Like, at all. Seriously, this mission is fucking bullshit and is starting to seem like it'll be the absolute last damn thing I complete because it's just that fucking hard.
Oswald shook his head, "That'll about do it, I think." he figured he could find any other information he needed in the library archives if he really needed it. In fact, he decided to go ahead and head there when his conversation with the King was over. He crossed one arm over his heart and bowed before taking his leave. The maze-like area around the Cornerstone was new to him, but Oswald was no stranger to navigating mazes, and so making his way out of the Hall was a simple enough task.

Once he was back in the Throne Room, he could easily remember where everything was. Only the Hall of the Cornerstone had been changed since he last saw it, everything else looked exactly the same as when he first left. He didn't take two steps into the next hallway before he heard a familiar bark and was greeted by a dog bounding up to him happily. The rabbit gave a smile as he knelt to pat Pluto's head, "Pluto! How are you, boy?" he asked, getting a happy bark from Pluto, who then ran off again to find someone else to greet.

When Pluto was gone, Oswald turned to his right and walked toward the door at the end of the hallway. Beyond that would be the Library, and he figured he could use some of this downtime to do a little reading and get more caught up on what's been happening. True, the King had recommended he get some rest, but to be honest Oswald didn't really want to. After two hundred years of sleep, he felt like he had enough of it to last a lifetime. So he opened the door to the library and entered. Inside he would try learn whatever else he could about the present timeline and things that have happened since he went into the pod.
Posted, aaaaaand cue the "What's a Paladin?" clip. Like, Oswald just asked a similar question. LOL
Oswald quietly followed the King, listening to his explanation. He did indeed miss a lot, evidenced by the fact that he'd never heard of a Sora before... nor these Nobody creatures the King mentioned. Thankfully, he had a basic understanding of everything else. From what he understood, their own Cornerstone of Light became the basis for a system of protecting worlds from being attacked by Heartless. Even some of the things that came up on the computer screen looked vaguely familiar to the rabbit. He hadn't told the King yet, but one of the world's Oswald had "touched" during his mission was one inside of a computer, but that was another story.

"So it's a simple investigation, then?" asked Oswald when the King finished, "Of course I'm up for it." though he couldn't shake a feeling he had in the back of his head that this wasn't nearly as simple as it seemed. Or, perhaps, his time on the side of Darkness had made him a bit paranoid? Maybe it was even a bit of both?

"There is something I need to ask though..." his voice trailed off briefly since he was about to ask two questions that would likely make him sound a complete rookie, "What's a "Sora"? And what's a Nobody?"
