Durin might be a ways off from meeting any of the PCs depending on how things play out, and even then he's not really the chatty type, but I'll keep it in mind if the opportunity presents itself.
Holy Water is the best sub weapon in Castlevania after all. Stunlock all the bosses to death.
Ah the weakspot of rogues, nonliving foes. Maybe Tirarrian should invest in something like powerful acid that can damage nonliving beings like skeletons, golems and such after this.
Don't thank me, I just copy and pasted all your hard work. Reading the OOC had its advantages.

Currently @notdeadyet will be making one more post then stepping out of the rp (hopefully not forever), @GreenHood and @FinnIsh are, let us just say mia? I haven't heard from either of them, so for now the story will continue without them. If they decide to come back, sure. If not, we tried.

I completely understand that people are busy. I'm a beach/pool bum myself and would rather spend my time outside then glued to my computer or phone. I do work, and while work has it's slow times where I can be around, I may not always be able to post. My hobbies include writing, hence why i'm here :) We are a fairly active crew and the story is coming along quite smoothly so far, so if you can't post for whatever reason, don't hesitate to send me a pm. I do try to be fair and patient.

Maria owned a shop in town, not far from the Ugly Mug, called 'Maria's Medicines and Sundries'. When we started our story, Maria had a few patients/customers earlier in the day and then Edict stormed in with Xusin, Tirarrian, and Cassius. Xusin had a wounded hand, badly wounded or not, Edict demanded that Maria fix it. Cassius was badly wounded though stepped to the side and waited his turn, despite his injury being ignored most of the time he was there. With all the commotion and the rudeness directed at her and her shop, Maria snapped. Without any regard for her clients or herself for that matter, she whipped out her spell book and healed Xusin's hand. Edict, having an extreme distrust/dislike for magic, drew his sword to her throat and the situation only escalated from there.

Joseph and Piper were on their way to the docks with their new found friend Jason, who thinks Joseph is a legendary hero named Sir Joffridus, however, after realizing that they've been followed by Isabeau, they've hid in an alley way just near Maria's shop. Isabeau confronted the trio in the alley and things only got stranger from there.

Just as they all started to settle down inside the medical shop, Xusin felt/saw a presence of someone - Aezophyl a demon who was sent here by Zargon. She stormed out of the shop in a fury to confront her fear. In an effort to 'burn off some steam' Aezophyl ... made someone go on fire. In a panic and fright, the burning man ran right into the wall of the healers shop. But he wasn't dead.

Rising back up, the charred, still burning skeleton rose back up and started stumbling, causing everyone on the street to flee and in a matter of minutes, bells of alarm to sound. It clumsily scratched at the shop's door even as it set the said door on fire. Between this and the fleeing Xusin, everyone rushed out of the building. Edict rushed the burning skeleton with his sword then caught up with Xusin. Maria had had it. She was accosted by someone who demanded her services, then left without paying, her door was burned down, there was a strange incident of a burning skeleton outside her shop. She ran out of the shop yelling and chasing them, demanding payment. Aezophyl had made his way into the Ugly Mug, and within minutes, more trouble had brewed, sparking the tavern into flames. As he walked out, Xusin, Edict, Cassius and Tirarrian where there to face him. Following Aezophyl out were tons and tons and tons of burning skeletons, minions set forth to cause more destruction and chaos to the town. Cassius attacked first as he lunged at Aezophyl with a few moves that were unfortunately deflected. Though it did give Edict enough time to launch his attack. Tirarrian had settled somewhere and set up her crossbow with a pouch that Edict had given her. Unfortunately she had become overrun by skeletons, but her shot did go off and was extremely successful as it hit the tavern and had taken out the fire that was burning inside.

Piper, Joseph, Jason and Isabeau left the alley way just in time to see the battle unfold. Isabeau went to save Tirarrian from the flaming skeletons, as did Tobias, who had also just arrived on the scene. Katia, Tobias's adopted daughter was busy chopping up skeletons along with the guards. Both Tobias and Isabeau had told Tirarrian that it wasn't safe for her to set up where she was (in so many words :p) so as we enter the story currently, Joseph had dragged Jason and Piper away from the fighting, Tirarrian went to join them. Isabeau went to help Edict and Cassius and whoeverelse is with them, who are currently engaging Aezophyl.

Since then, Tirarrian has left the battle due to the urging of Joseph and Isabeau. Joseph realized he was a huge coward out of his depths and ran. Elsewhere, my character entered, seeing Artholath kill a random guard and is now stalking him so he can stab him in the back.
@ArenaSnow I don't know, possibly going into a coma is pretty dramatic. I can see it now, a minor accident leads to secret love triangles coming out into the open, friends will blame friends for events out of their control, an evil twin will appear to cause trouble, it'll be just like a soap opera. That way we'll ensure the RP never ends. All we have to do is make sure nothing is ever resolved.
Maybe in the heat of battle Edict and Cassius trip into one another, conking heads and passing out?
When you say science, like how far along and what varieties of SF are we talking? Ray guns? Cybernetics? Nanomachines? Power Armor? Biologically Engineered supergenes?
So right now, who are we waiting for before things can get moving again?
Durin had been carrying two bags of cement, one over each shoulder, for his current employer today. He was a contractor or something who was in the middle of doing some road work or some such. It didn't really matter to Durin. The job was simple, transport some bags of cement to where the other construction workers could use it. There were a lot of bags, so it would be about a day's worth of work for enough money to last about a week. For most, it would be rather difficult to carry one bag, Durin found that 2 bags provided enough work for him to feel justified in how much he was being paid. He was alone for the most part, but that was alright. It just meant Durin didn't have to talk, or think really. He could just let his body work, well he could until he noticed that the bar up the hill was on fire and burning skeletons were wreaking havoc.

Well Durin had enough money to last him awhile anyways. This could be put on hold. The Dwarf immediately began running home, inadvertantly forgetting that he was still carrying the two sacks of cement with him. This was an emergency situation, and an emergency dictated that he would need better gear.

Durin's house was a small, ugly thing, but it worked. It kept the rain out and it didn't get too hot in the summer. More importantly, it was where he kept his weapons and armor, which he hastily donned. All together he had his ultility knife on his left hip, his hatchet on his right, his shield in his left hand and his spear in his right. Despite his shield being wooden, he had faith in it. It was bound with hide, sealed with rawhide and reinforced with steel. Those skeletons would find it difficult to do more than singe its face.

The dwarf left his house and began heading back towards the battlefield when he noticed a man off to the side shoot one of the local guards through the chest with an oversized icicle. Of course this was the work of magic users. Durin never liked 'em. They were too cocksure of the power of magic. Magical power isn't even really theirs, they are just messing with power that they don't really understand. Well whatever that guy was up to, Durin wasn't about to let him go about unimpeded.

Magic users excel at long range, it is imperative to get in close first, preferably unnoticed. Durin began following Artholath, first from a distance, but slowly decreasing the range as much as he could. If all went well, Durin planned to give the magic user a taste of his own medicine and skewer him from behind with his spear. The dwarf did have lots of experience sneaking up on both people and animals alike, but you never knew with magic users. They didn't follow the rules, being able to see where they weren't looking, not to mention that even over the noise of the background battle, this guy may still hear the sound of the armor he was wearing. No matter, whatever happened, Durin would just need to adapt to it, and plan around this guy's actions.
