Powers:Astral trapping, the ability to restrain or trap Astral beings into a specific place, item or being. Astral beings include astral projecting mutants, ghosts, spirits, psychic entities, etc. Francesco can mentally communicate with these Astral beings once they are restrained. They can solidify themselves to influence the real world, but only of their own volition.
Level of control: Francesco has no control over his mutant power, instead it's his subconscious which acts on his behalf. When he is experiencing strong emotions like fear, anger, sadness his subconscious reaches out to the Astral plane drawing Astral beings to him, binding them to his own spirit. They usually act like a guardian or protector, solidifying themselves to protect Francesco in the physical world. Once they are trapped Francesco has to consciously release them, which he hasn't been able to yet. Currently he has one Astral being attached to him. When it chooses to appear it is a small whisp of light, taking on the form of a male anatomic figure when solidified.

Personal Style: Francesco dresses according to the season, a bit obsessively one could argue. Not only does he change up his color scheme, opting for earthy, warm tones in the autumn and winter and lighter pastel colors in the spring and summer he changes his entire wardrobe on the exact date of solstices. Even if it's still cold on the Spring solstice he'll swap out his entire wardrobe. He has a strong fashion sense and favors a bohemian style. He knows what looks good on him and generally sticks to softer colors and shapes, flowy cardigans/shirts, scarves, skinny jeans and boots.

Relationship Status: Single
Personality: Helpful and naive are two words which sum up his character pretty well.  If you need help with anything, anything at all you should go to him. Even if he can’t help you he'll find someone who will. He tries to see the good in everyone and the upside to every downside. He's an introvert, calm, shy, and somewhat withdrawn. A very sensitive young man who often feels misunderstood. He hates to argue, or see other people argue and is a peace keeper, crossing his own personal limits to ensure group harmony. Often lost in thought he can come across as dreamy, passive and a push over. Add to this the fact that he has a very strong drive to care for others, a maternal instinct he has no qualms about hiding and you have an eccentric guy. 

Francesco wasn't slow to realize that he's not your typical guy's guy, but doesn't attempt to act differently. Instead he's accepted the fact that he is the way he is. He'll always be a bit awkward around guys and more at ease around girls. In social situations, he tends to speak only when spoken to and sticks with the people he’s comfortable with. He's a late bloomer and while he has experience in some areas he has a complete lack of experience in others.

Oh and don't ask him how he's doing. He's always fine, great, happy even........

History

How did you discover your powers: I don't really like to think back on it, so the whole thing is a bit of a blur, which is probably why I can't remember the exact time. Either way it happened shortly after my mother passed away, maybe like a week or two after. So that would be about a year ago.

Anyways so well I was walking back home from work, I had to baby-sit in another neighborhood. I'd never been there before and I only knew my way from the bus stop to the house and back, at least I thought I did. I got lost and my phone was dead so I couldn't use my gps to figure out how to get to the bus stop. There weren't a lot of people out on the streets, it was getting pretty dark too. I remember panicking a little, or at the very least I was getting anxious. I was scared walking around at night in a neighborhood where I didn't know anyone. I stood still under one of the street lights trying to stay calm. 

To make things worse, a group of guys were standing on the other side of the street. They were looking at me, pointing and talking to each other in hushed voices. I didn't even want to hear what they were saying, and their snickering made me want to throw up. So naturally when they crossed the street my heart was about to jump from my chest and make a run for it. My throat closed up and even if I wanted to talk back I couldn't. That's when it happened. At first I thought it was the street light playing tricks on me, but that wasn't it. A small whisp of light was floating in front of me. It stood between me and the group of guys, whenever they came closer it flashed a warning red, like a stop sign. I don't know what possessed these guys, but for some reason they weren't scared out of their wits like I was.

They got closer to the now bright red whisp and it started to shift and flicker, changing shape until it resembled a male figure, like the ones in anatomy books. It lifted up its arm holding out its palm towards the group and when the guys saw that they made a run for it and well so did I to be honest.

Why did you choose the side that you did?: When the professor visited me I was reluctant. I couldn't just up and leave and go life somewhere else, leaving my little brother and my dad by themselves. That was a recipe for disaster. But the professor was incredibly kind and understanding. The institute was not a prison, just a place where I could safely learn how to live with my mutant powers. I felt at ease around the professor. I trusted my intuition and went back with him to New York city to see the institute for myself.

General History: Francesco grew up in a very close knit Italian immigrant family. He was born prematurely and spent three months in the hospital, luckily with no apparent ill effects on his health. This early event in his life resulted in an overprotective and sheltered upbringing. In school Francesco, didn't really fit in but then again what teen ever does? All in all, he survived high school and graduated at 18.  

He made some lasting friends whom he also liked outside of school, a big deal for him. Right after his summer break his mother was diagnosed with lung cancer. It was devastating news for the entire family but they never gave up hope for recovery. Sadly, it got worse each month, until he eventually delayed going to nursing school to take care of her. She passed away the same year she was diagnosed. To Francesco this entire period was a blur, he had been living his life on auto pilot. 

Grief was weighing heavy on his shoulders and during this time he kept himself busy, selling baked goods from home, babysitting, really any job that kept his hands and mind occupied. Slowly but surely he started to do the things his mother used to. Household chores, making sure his little brother did well in school, keeping his dad in check. Like his odd jobs this kept him busy but he was supressing his grief.

He struggles with his newfound reality, way more than he lets on. Add to that the discovery of his powers and well he's pretty troubled, something he is not at all used to. Luckily for him he was on the radar of the famed Professor Charles Xavier. Life would soon be looking up, even though he might not realize that yet.

"He totally reminds me of my grandfather, he even looks like him, altough way more posh and without the strong Italian accent."

They met while the Professor was at his home to make a house call, in attempt to convince him to enroll at the Institute. The Professor is interested in Francesco's psychic abilities and wants to help him develop them further. They've spoken only a handful of times since Francesco enrolled. Once Francesco found out the Professor was a telepath however he politely asked the older man to respect his boundaries. The idea of someone being able to read his mind whenever and wherever they want to freaks him out.

"I was totally thinking of the actual beast of Beauty and the Beast when I met him. Lucky for me he's cool with my Disney obessession. He has all these theories about the morality of the stories and all that kind of deep stuff."

Francesco feels smart when he's around Beast, but often can't follow what he's talking about, much to the amusement of the scientist. He likes to listen to him think out loud about anything and everything. Though when Halloween is around the corner Francesco is pretty likely to present him with an e-bay costume of the Beast, which in all likelyhood won't fit.
