@Kafka KomedyI have an idea but can our characters recognize the worlds we're in or does the game Splatoon not exist in the world they're from? All things considered it would make more sense to recognize it but I don't want to mess with any potential plotpoints

I'm not going anywhere at the moment
As Dan was still struggling with the matter of the ring, he didn't notice the appearance of the newcomer until he spoke. "Oh my. I leave for five minutes, and you've managed to do all this?" Looking in the direction of the voice he saw Eddy and was disappointed by what he saw, since the man's greeting made him at least in Dan's ears sound like an authority figure; IE someone he would probably try to usurp eventually.
The only reason he listened to Eddy's spiel was to take his mind of the anger he still felt. "To be honest this Eden sounds like it has a lot in common with the worsts parts of my current personality which I've already shown to not be fully in control of. But as long as I get to stab people and none orders me around I'm in." That said Dan noticed he was already making plans to betray the group if he got a better offer, something he was not happy with but decided to keep secret.
