Peter’s response made Lexi think about the previous year, where she had no clue that Peter was actually Spider-Man. “You stick to things when you’re nervous or embarrassed…” She repeated, and then, memories came flooding back to her like turning on a faucet. There was a time when they were walking through her house and she tripped falling directly against him and wrapping her arms around his waist for balance as she regained herself and when she did, he had his hands against the wall and insisted that she went ahead, he had to do some stretching on his legs. He was actually stuck to the wall! She had dragged Peter along dress shopping once and he, of course, wondered off into a different section of the store because they had some form of photography stuff so she had to chase him down and ask him what he thought of the adorable sundress she wanted to buy; he pretended to take pictures of her with the camera than she skipped off to take off the dress; when she returned he was still holding that same camera so she left him there to check it out more. It took him a while but he finally caught back up with her. He was stuck to that too!

“Huh.” She said as the realization hit her when he told him that. “Well that makes sense.” A small shrug lifted her tank top covered shoulders and fell back down, her small hand trailed up into his thick brown hair with a smile. “Maybe I purr when I’m at the peak of my comfort…” Leaning her forehead against his she gentle smile, “That would explain why I feel the urge to do it the most when I’m around you.” Her head turned to watch the movie and hear Peter’s cheesy comment which just made her giggle softly and use the blanket to muffle the noise so it not to wake Aunt May. “It’s too bad, it seems to deserve so many rewards.” Her gaze moved back to Peter, one hand resting gently on his chest and the other playing with his hair. “Playful words, loving actions and classic cheesy jokes; I think it could win any award, including a young girl’s heart.” There was nothing more obvious than the fact that she wasn’t talking about the movie as she played with Peter’s hair and looked at him in a loving fashion.

As he sped off away from her parents’ house, he headed towards his only to have his phone ring. Sighing he answered it knowing all too well what was coming. “I got Elysia home.” That was how he was currently answered his mother. “Veronica… yeah we’re over.” Holding the phone away from his ear he cringed at the screaming and dramatically muffled words on the other end of the phone; when the verbal dust settled he put the phone back to his ear and continued. “Look there was no spark anymore. Nothing, and she kept going on and on about marriage and that’s not going to happen… Why? What do you mean why?... Yeah I know where she stands in society… Yeah I know she comes from a lot of money… Yes I’m aware it would mean the clans were intermixing… Yes I’m also aware that I’m the one you guys are leaving everything too but I fail to see how whether I get married or not effects you… Yes status in society blah blah blah.” Now he was just mocking his mom and had to hold the phone away from his ear while she exploded at him once again.

“I’m still young mom.” He said when she finally stopped yelling, “Okay I’m not that young but I have no reason to settle. No one’s interesting enough. No one keeps my attention and makes me beg for more of theirs. I’ve never had to work for a woman, and it’s boring. If I’m going to settle down with someone I’d like to be the chaser instead of the chasey; I want someone to make me work for them and that wasn’t the case with Veronica, at all. Between my social status and my vampire status I can get anyone I want and that’s just not good enough for me.” Again he had to pull the phone away from his ear, the words ‘arrogant’ and ‘cocky’ echoed through his car and when he put his phone back to his ear he couldn’t help but smirk. “I get it from my mom. I love you and will talk to you later when you’ve cooled down and realized that I dumped Veronica for myself not for anyone else.” With that he hung up on his mother, put his phone on silent and tossed it into the back seat.

The night rolled on and the young man sat in his living room eating junk food and playing video games all night; celebrating the fact that he wasn’t getting dragged to some stupid party or fancy dress parties just to try to make her happy. Hours into the morning Jett feel sleep in the pair of black sweatpants and no shirt. His curtains pulled for the obvious reason of preferring to be in the dark because of his race so it wasn’t until his doorbell rang that Jett was pulled rudely from his slumber and scared half to death (ironic no?) to the point of falling off of his couch and smacking the back of his head against the floor. Grumbling and groaning, the man pulled himself to his feet and stumbled up the steps to his front door and pulled it open, not really taking into consideration that he probably should check the peep hole to make sure it wasn’t someone from the crazy vampire haunting club pointing a gun at him but instead he opened the door fully, exposing his barely dressed form to the front yard and squinted through the light to see Elysia standing on his front porch.

“Okay, I was not the drunk one last night; you were…. So….” Yawn. “I don’t recalling have a conversation about you staying for…” He leaned passed her seeing that she had more than one suitcase with her. “however long you packed for…” Knowing better than to argue with her, he yawned largely before turning back around and walking sleepily back inside only to see that his video game had kicked him out of the lobby of his Call of Duty game. Disappointed he clicked the button to turn it back on, a little mad at himself that he fell asleep. “Close the door you’re letting the light in.” He shouted playfully to her as he yawned a big yawn before putting down the controller on the couch and stumbling into his kitchen. Gathering up the necessary supplies, he slowly began to put together a pot of coffee, stumbling around and struggling to stand… Jett, is not a morning person. “What’s with the…” Yawn. “bags?”
When Steve mentioned that her aunt would be his type of lady, it tugged at her heart and her face softened slightly thinking about the loss of her aunt. “I think you’d be her type of guy.” She said in a soft playful manner. “She always liked a man with manners but she passed away. She did live until she was 89 years old so that’s a good span and I’ve never seen someone so happy before they died. She seemed at peace.” A small shrug lifted her tank top covered shoulders before she shook her head. “Sorry. That woman I could talk about for hours.” She said with a laugh as she turned her attention to the radio.

As he said that it was Frank Sinatra, her smile brightened and her blue eyes twinkled with a large unexpected amount of excitement; a complete mood changer for him to even know the name of the singer. “I’m impressed! Most people our age don’t know classic music very well.” She said with a nod as she pressed the button to play the next song once Fly With Me finished. “Well I went to work; and something rather amazing happened.” She began leaning herself back against the couch and gesturing for him to come in so he didn’t feel like she was pushing him out; she enjoyed his company immensely and didn’t want to give off the impression that she didn’t. “One of the higher ups told me that I was doing good work and to keep it up. It’s really the little things you know?” Her bright smile seemed to have trouble fading as she talked about it. “Just to be told that you’re doing a good job from people above you really makes all your hard work worth it and believe it or not… I do work… sometimes…” At the word sometimes she drug it out giving a playful shifty eyes to show she was only kidding.

The song shifted once again to Stangers In The Night and as it did, her body started to rock to the music. Without really thinking she stuck out her hand to him. “Wanna dance?”
A laugh left Lexi when he said that he would run into the windows of the house. “Forgot to open your window when you’d leave? Funny… sometimes I’d forget to close mine if I thought I might be expecting a certain Spider to want some heroic rewards.” She said with a playfully cheeky grin. His status in school really didn’t matter to her, she did love Peter for who he was but him being Spider-Man was an amazing bonus and she was far from complaining. Even though she made reference to him crawling through her window, her eyes shut thinking about Harry coming in in the Venom outfit, that was scary but he was gone now… poor guy. And she had her spider this time. And he is cat.

Her body snuggled up against her boyfriend, her gentle breathing sound like a very faint purr, as they sat in silence munching on popcorn for a good half an hour before Lexi pulled her head from his shoulder and looked at Peter’s brown eyes with her sparkling blue ones. “I have a question.” She began softly, her voice inviting and playful before she asked a weird not-so-playful question. “Is the purring thing weird? I haven’t really tried to control it but it just seems to kind of; happen. Except using ppppuuuurrrrrr in words; that’s all me. But…” She looked at him innocently, “Is it weird?”
A couple things can embarrass the blonde dancing in her room; one: continuous falling because she doesn't think of herself as a klutz. Two: Something between her teeth, she prides herself in her pearly whites and three: someone catching her dancing like a fool. So as she bounced around to the classic music of Louie Armstrong, you can imagine how red her face got when a knock echoed into the room and she turned to see her dashingly handsome neighbor standing in the farm that was almost too big for him. Basicall, the redness in her face would put a cherry to shame. "Steve!" She said in surprise as she drove for her remote and turned off the stereo; embarrassment party of one.

Biting the corner of her full lips she turned her blue gaze behind her glasses to the floor; the cherry red of her face softening as he spoke. But when he said that the music would be considered too old fashioned theses days her gaze shot up and she let to of her lip, a smile curled the corners of her lips as she leaned against the couch's back looking at him in the doorway. "Old fashions always suited me best." Like a man opening the door, making sure I was safe and comfortable, always being kind and gentle when he could easily be strong and withdrawn; much like you. Her heart was speaking loud and if he could understand the banging in her chest he'd most likely hear that; it's a good thing her heart couldn't talk! "Plus I grew up with my Aunt who always played classic music. She's the one go introduced me to this guy and he's been my favorite every since!" With that she turned back on the radio and changed it another song.

"Come fly with me, let's fly let's fly away." Frank Sinatra's voice filled the room with his classic song 'Fly with me'. The smile grew into a flashy cheesy one as she turned her attention back to Steve. It was a flook that he knew Louie Armstrong right? Frank Sinatra was well known but not much around their age group. "Do you know who this is?" She asked playfully expecting a no like she got from many people.
As she slid off of his lap she settled herself in the middle of the couch, taking up as much room as possible; why because she was a butthead like that. Spreading herself out of the couch she stretched much like a cat did. It was weird how her mannerisms had changed and molded into one that would resemble a cat if you paid attention to it. When Peter knelt down at the TV, she tilted her head to one side checking him out as she bit her lower lip playfully; can you blame her? She found her boyfriend attractive, so sue her.

While he was off in the kitchen, she readjusted the pillows so that they would sit comfortably for the two of them; though she had a good feeling that she would be back on his lap real soon once he sat back down again. Sure enough, when he did, as he went through his check list she slid herself onto his lap; not really giving him much of a choice on whether or not she’d be there. But somehow, in some small way, she really believed he didn’t care. “An Incredibly beautiful girlfriend who is completely out of your league, I think you’re giving me a bit too much credit but to say the least; I’m flattered.” She said with a small giggle as she rested her head onto his shoulder, her arms draped gently around his neck as her face was looking at the screen that was until something dawned on her. “Where’s Aunt May?”
    [double post]
“You need a boyfriend.” Black Widow said rather bluntly as the two women sat at the table together. Black Widow seemed rather relentless on this point, in fact this is the third time it has been mentioned too her in the past week. “I know who’d be perfect for you.” With that she turned, her arm waving in the air as she called out, “Hey, Steve!” In a direction.

“What?!” Agent 13 said in a panic as she grabbed the redhead’s arm only to have the spy easily dodge out of the grasp and continue her wave in the direction. “That was stupid!”

    “Steve!”

“Oh Jesus!” With that Sharon hid her face, attempting to hide everything about her from her hair color to her face to anything that could make her look like something other than a lump of clothes. This redhead was going to be the end of her.

    “Huh.”

This reaction was able to pull Agent 13 from her curled up ball of shame to look up at the spy across the table; who seemed to look confused, which was a first. “What?”

“He ran away. Interesting…” She said with a shrug as she turned back to her food, ignoring the stare from Agent 13 who was sitting across from her. “I didn’t think Captain America ran from anything; then again he’s completely women shy so maybe I shouldn’t be too surprised.”

“WHAT?!” The blonde exploded in the seat across from the spy who didn’t even budge. “Your idea of setting me up with someone was Captain America?!”

“Why not?” She said with a shrug as she poked at her eggs. “You keep complaining that you haven’t gotten a chance to meet him yet so why not let me introduce you?”

Agent 13’s face was as red as the spy’s hair due to embarrassment. “Because we don’t even know each other.”

    “What’s a better way than a date?”

Poor Agent 13 was about to open her mouth to retort before she realized she pretty much did that with Steve Rogers yesterday. She knew better than to argue with the Spy, not only could she beat 13 in a fight but she also had a valid point and right now; Agent 13 hated her more for that than anything else. Finishing up her food rather quickly she stood up and snagged her tray. “I have to talk to Fury, I’ll see you around.” With that she dumped out the rest of her tray and left.
Nick Fury’s office had a beautiful view overlooking the city of New York and they were lucky the building didn’t get destroyed… oh god that paperwork would have been horrible. “Hello Sharon.”

“Director Fury.” She said as she stood in front of his desk and the proper stance. “I have a question.”

“As do I but since I am a gentleman I’ll let you go first.”

The blonde shifted on her feet, for once in her work career she was a bit shy about her questions. “I was wondering… if I had the clearance to know… why, you’re having me watch Mister Steve Rogers…” Her blue gaze stayed locked on the desk, not wanting to look up at her boss.

For the first time in a long time, Nick Fury seemed interested by what was in front of him. He pulled himself back from the rest of the chair and folding his large arms across the top of the wooden desk staring up at the blonde until she finally made eye contact with him. “No.” He said simply. But judging by the stare he received in return, he let out a small sigh, “But I will tell you he’s far from dangerous and he just needs to be watched to make sure he can adapt more easily, a lot has changed since he was last out and about.”

“I noticed that sir,” Funny, he said the same thing when they were hanging out yesterday. “I just was hoping for a bit more detail on what exactly I’m watching him for.”

At this, Nick leaned back in his chair looking up at the young woman he had come to care about. Ever since her parents died, he had begun to look over her much like a child of his own and something he did notice was that she was lonely, a lot. “He’s a good name Sharon, and he needs friend. And so do you. Now go.” With that he turned around in his chair, expecting that the conversation was done.

Agent 13 stared at him in surprise, did he really just send her to watch over someone because she was friendless and so was he. Well… she didn’t know whether to be offended or excited. Steve seemed like a great guy and if she was really just there to make sure that his transition into present day (whatever the heck that means) was easier, it was much nicer to do as a friend. And it was also peaceful to know she wasn’t living across the hall from someone dangerous. A small nod left her before she turned and left the office, shutting the door behind her. That wasn’t much of an answer for her but it was something and that something was enough for her to call it a day.
Finally getting home, the blonde climbed up the stairs with the backpack over her shoulders. Sure, Black Widow embarrassed her, Nick Fury confused her and she messed around with chemicals she doesn’t understand but there was one good amazing thing about her day and that was that she got recognized by Captain America and on her own terms none-the-less (and not Black Widow’s ‘here you two should hook up’ idea).

When she reached her apartment she unlocked the door and skipped inside. Her body back in her jeans and t-shirt with her hair up in a bun once again and glasses on her face but her smile seemed to brighten the room as she walked inside. She couldn’t get over how excited she was. Bounce bounce bounce She bounced around her apartment before looking over at her punching back and her arms dropped in disappointment; that’s right she never got that stupid thing up. Shrugging she went to her stereo and turned it on Louis Armstrong completely forgetting that her front door was open and the hallway could hear the music playing and see the blonde dancing in her living room. All and all, not a bad day.
At every word that left Peter’s lips, her heart melted more and more. It was hard to believe that someone so perfect for her could have been so close to her to begin with. He had been there for her so through much, her parents fighting, the thought of her parents almost losing their business, her first break up, her second break up and her third break up. He had held her while she cried through so much but and she did for him as well. Reminding him that life wasn’t always bad and that things could, in fact, get brighter but when it all came down to it, he was her brightness in her darkest time. Not as Spider-Man but as Peter Parker.

When Peter’s lips fell against hers, she returned it; leaning against him and holding him much like one would a delicate new born, for their relationship was new and she had full intention on raising it to be a healthy strong and happy relationship; even if it did involve crime fighting in spandex. She pulled gently back from the kiss as her fingers still played in his hair. “So what movie do you want to watch? I brought that horrible Killer Clowns from Outer Space again since we were rather… distracted, the first time we attempted to watch movies together.” She said in a teasing playful fashion as gestured with her head towards her shoes were the movie sat on top of them.
It was uncomfortable to know that Tony was on the other side of the one way mirror but she couldn’t be happier that she didn’t have to see him; it was less encouragement to have him talk to her. She didn’t want to deal with him right now, especially working with chemicals. She grumbled something that barely resembled a hello as she continued to work, her eyes narrowed in a glare as she pulled the blue liquid out of the vial.

Her body jumped slightly as she heard the mention of Captain America and her attention turned upwards even though she could only see her blonde hair and blue eyes in the reflection of the mirror. Nah, he wouldn’t be coming in here. No way. As her attention moved back on her work, she was carefully counting the drops before she heard the door bust open and a larger figure enter the room. The whole place seemed to change at his presence and there was no doubt that Captain America had just entered the room. She stopped in her counting and debated sprinting to the door but she still had seven more drops she needed to do and then she’d have to throw it in another container and time the boiling.

The counting continued as the conversation continued outside of the little room she was in she did her best to ignore it and as she poured the contains of her counting she heard the Captain tell her to keep up the door work and her heart nearly exploded out of her chest. She started the timer and ran to the door only to pull it open just in time to see the shield disappear out of the door and down the hallway.

“What’s with the disappointed look Miss Carter?” Tony said in a sarcastic manner holding his arms out in an inviting way. “I’m still here.”

“That’s a good reason to be disappointed.” She smarted back in an annoyed tone as her gaze moved to the door. She had to watch the timer before she turned off the burner so she couldn’t go after him. Without saying another word to the men, she turned around and went back into her little room in disappointment. Really? She had a chance to meet him and then he was gone. But! He told her to keep up the good work!! That counts for something. She turned off the burner after the alarm went off and came back out to hand the instructions to Bruce. “Here you are, I’ve got a few more things of paperwork to work out.” With that he gave him a nod and a smile before nodding, and only nodding to Tony before walking out. She needed to get away from those men.
Down in the café area, the blonde grabbed herself a tray and began to make herself something to eat, her late night with Steve made her miss breakfast in the morning but it was worth it. There was a twinkle in the blonde eyes as she made her plate only to feel another presence next to her.

“Someone looks happy.” Black Widow said as she grabbed her own plate.

    “I had a date yesterday.”

    “NO!”

    “Yes!”

“Someone had fun I can tell.” Black Widow said with a laugh.

“I did, he was such a gentleman and so sweet but shy at the same time. It was adorable, we went around the city, he bought me dinner and we went back to my place and cuddled watching a movie with a dessert.”

“Dessert?” Black Widow repeated in a playful manner as she grabbed a milk.

“I made apple pie!” She said with a laugh as she grabbed a bagel and some cream cheese and turned starting towards the table only to have her friend follow her closely. “But I keep missing the Captain, it’s really saddening. Today he came into Bruce’s lab but I was in another room so I could just hear him. He did, however, tell me that I should keep up the good work. I swear, that made my day!”

Black Widow rolled her eyes as she sat down across from Agent 13. “Listen 13, you’re not missing out on much. He’s a nice guy and the symbol of the country but if you know the stories than you know him. He’s a rather open book when it comes to things. Except relationships, that is something he has no clue about. Poor guy still doesn’t have a girlfriend.”

A laugh left Agent 13 as she put the cream cheese on her bagel. “Not everyone needs a partner to be happy, it’s nice but not needed.”

“Says the woman who’s overly excited about her date yesterday.”

“I am not overly excited…. Okay maybe I am acknowledgement from the Captain helped too!” She said with a laugh. The women continued to talk down in the cafeteria; why? Because they’re women and they love to gossip.
