A sudden hand on her waist made her chocolate colored eyes fly open and shot him an ‘I’m going to kill you!’ look. When he took her hand into his, she looked from their hands to his face and raised an eyebrow questioningly at him. Even after he stated that he wasn’t making a move, she couldn’t help but feel like there was a chance he was. But she had no reason not to take his word for it. So her body continued to move with the music and his body seemed to match her movements. Was it easier to just ignore the fact that he was closing the gap between their two bodies? Yes, yes it was.

Her body relaxed slightly in his hands as she allowed herself to get taken away by the music. But his question about her dancing made everything about her seemed to relax. It wasn’t her favorite topic to discuss but she always braced herself for talking to someone who actually showed some interest in her life. “My mom was the Terran, she brought dance to my home planet; that and potatoes.” She said softly with a bit of a laugh to her voice, “She always encouraged ‘the rhythm’ whenever it could be done. It was the great escape of life’s troubles. Every week we would hold a festival in the capital, food and music everywhere. Though people singing is rather new, typically it was just instruments. My mom always insisted that people help each other and celebrated life, so farmers from all over the planet would provide food for the feast and our planet would celebrate life.” Her free hand rose up and placed itself gently onto one of his broad shoulders. If it wasn’t him making a move on her than the situation is okay right? Right. “Where do you learn to dance? Or is that just a talent of being a Star-Lord?”
The temptation to join her boyfriend in the shower was high as she prepped the water and pulled down some mugs to use for the chocolate. Her bottom lip curled under as she looked over her shoulder towards the exit of the kitchen; who knows when the next time they’d be alone in her house would be… but she hesitated too long as she turned her attention back to the boiling pot of water that nearly cascaded over the edge due to her lost thoughts. She had just begun to stir in the chocolate powder when Peter slid in behind her kissing her cold neck with his warm soft lips sending electric passions of warmth through her body and her lips curled into a smile. “I’m going to have a difficult time getting to the shower if you keep doing that.” She said playfully as she got the last amount of powder into the pot and turned down the heat before turning to her boyfriend.

After a small make out session she excused herself to the shower. Freshening up in it, her thoughts kept turning back to Peter and their romantic three month anniversary which was still going on. Her back leaned against the hot shower wall and she let out a long soft sigh; she honestly couldn’t be happier. From there she went to her bedroom after and dried herself to the best of her abilities but her hair was still rather damp. Pulling on a pair of night shorts, she threw on her favorite Peter shirt and skipped her way down the stairs to the kitchen to find her boyfriend stirring the pot of chocolate. This time she came up behind him, her hands delicately tracing along his back around his waist and this time (on her tip toes) she gently kissed his neck. “How’s it coming there handsome?” She asked playfully in a soft whisper before kissing his ear and trailing back down to his neck.
“Too bad you’d never get to take the photo if it was us.” She said playfully as she pushed the car door open and her body shivered against the breeze and snow. As the two scampered up the steps, Lexi fussed with her keys through her gloves in an attempt to find the right one to stick into the house. Finally doing so she stuck it in the door and turned the lock as he commented about the suit which made her giggle, “Maybe we should look into getting you a spandex suit to wear under it. Maybe a short sleeved set of pants and shirt that you could wear under your normal clothes…” Her voice trailed off and she looked a little empty face in her classic Lexi-Day-Dreaming look.

“Sorry!” She said quickly, realizing that she was spacing and not allowing them inside. Turning the handle, a smirk moved across her face, “I was imagining you in spandex.” With that and her cheeks turning red from more than just the cold, she pushed open the door and the couple ventured into the much warmer house. Getting inside she kicked off her shoes and instantly pulled off her socks and stripped herself out of her wet jacket and sweater she was wearing underneath leaving her in a black shirt and her soaked snow pants. “Why don’t you hop in the shower first and I’ll take one after you so I can set up the hot chocolate.” With that she gave him a gentle kiss on the lips before starting into the kitchen and began to start some hot water to make the hot chocolate.
He was still shy! Sharon couldn’t help but feel like the situation was just adorable. He had kissed her much more than once and yet he still tensed up under her; most likely seeing himself still as the tiny kid before he was turned into ‘The Perfect Soldier’ and isn’t quite use to the attention of a woman. Well if he was going to allow Sharon to stick around, even if it was just for a small amount of time longer; he’d have to get used to getting attention from a woman. Their… whatever you want to call this, friendship/relationship-thingy would have to be kept secret from everyone. For all S.H.I.E.L.D. should be aware of was that she was still under cover, watching Steve to make sure he fit in just right with the world.

As he placed his hands onto her hips she allowed her body to lay completely against his with a small gentle moan behind the kiss as their lips caressed each other. One small hand traveled gently along his back with her arm draped along his shoulder while her other hand gently moved along the back of his neck; her fingertips brushing against the smooth skin of Steve’s. Her whole heart was bounding in her chest as she leaned into him, embracing him, her childhood idol and crush growing up and now her neighbor crush that turned out to be her idol. It was a lot to take in but she didn’t care at the moment. After a couple of moments, she took another risk and began to move their lips, her tongue slowly came out of her mouth and ventured to his, sliding gently along his lips.
On Nikki’s home planet, dancing was done during celebrations. Her mother was always the ‘bell of the ball’; aside from being the Queen and getting attention for her dark completion and dashing deep brown hair, the woman could dance. Her father and her mother would take up the dance floor doing traditional dances found on earth; the Waltz, Salsa, Tango and all sorts of other couple dances that would leave the company present in awe of the situation at hand. While Nikki only learned a few from her mother’s vast knowledge, she made sure her daughter was gifted with ‘the rhythm’, as her mother so cleverly called it. So when she was invited to dance to the music, her body moved into motion with the beat of the music.

When the song changed, her body changed with the smoothness of the sweet song. Sighing she pulled herself out of her leather jacket to reveal the tribal sleeves that went up to her shoulders dedicated to both her mother’s heritage and her father’s; a mixture of Earth’s native American culture and the Metra culture. She dropped her jacket on top of her bag and blade continuing to dance as she did so, unaware of how close Quill had made himself. “I was raised hearing it called it ‘the rhythm’. I was always told that life is nothing without ‘the rhythm’.” Her chocolate eyes closed as she thought about her home and remembered the music, even though it wasn’t close to what he was playing; it still felt nice to have something familiar happening as her body rocked and swayed to the music.
At their second encounter he welcomed the rather obvious coming kiss. The more she thought about it, the more she was glad that she did kiss him; it seemed to have given him the courage to kiss her on prom night. Their foreheads resting against each other's, she gave him a tender soft loving smile. "I wish I didn't have to see you so banged up when I found out you were, well you but unless you had planned to change and shoot some web at me that wasn't the silly string all the children's toys are made of; I'd think you had seen me kiss Spider-Man and were just making fun of me..." Can you blame her? With Peter's jokes about him being every girl's dream, he might have just done it. "Not that I'd think you were lying about it, just so we're clear. But I don't think, at the time, I could picture my beloved Peter Parker..." Her hand rose up, placing gently against his cheek softly rubbing his cheek bone, "risking his own life to protect the city." A small happy sigh left her. "You truly are amazing. My amazing Spider-Man but more and most importantly, my amazing Peter...Parker..." With that she leaned in and enveloped her lips into his.

The kiss lasted a while before a chill came over the small but due to the snow and Lexi's body suddenly reminded her just how wet they both were. She slowly pulled back from the kiss and sighed, "As much as I love kissing you my dear, I fear we might freeze to death in that pose. Personally I like being alive to kiss you. What do you say we head inside and I'll make use some coco?"
His surprise to her question surprised Lexi in a way. Her face scrunched into one of thought as she attempted to process the best way to explain the situation to her very smart yet slightly stupid boyfriend. “Every story is typically written with the basics,” She began, enjoying the first time that she could teach Peter something instead of the other way around; hey there was a first time for everything right?! “A girl, a problem and someone coming to save her; and at the end of every story, the hero who saves the girl, gets a hero’s reward for saving the damsel in distress. A kiss.” She said with a nod as she turned another corner and pulled in the driveway of her house which looked like something on the cover of a post card from a small town.

“Basically we lived a story but there were two heroes instead of one and really no damsel in distress so I guess that’s not the best example. What I’m really asking Peter is…” She turned to him in the seat as she put the car in park and unbuckled her seatbelt. “Did you know I was going to go in for a kiss that night? Or did I catch you by surprise?”
It had been a long time since Nikki dealt with ‘rules’ so when they did come around, especially when with someone who could eject her into space at any point in time, she figured it would be best to respect said rules. So when he said that no women were allowed on the ship, she pressed her lips together in silence and turned her chocolate brown gaze to the table top and played with her thumbs. She might have overstepped her boundaries and she didn’t feel like stepping on any toes at this moment. When he gave instructions on how to get to the bathrooms, she rose up from the seat and took up her bag and sword before looking over at him. “Well thank you for breaking one of your rules and taking me along.” She said softly with a nod before turning on her heel and walking away.

There were a couple of bathrooms spread throughout the ship and some bedrooms she noticed as she passed. That was nice, at least he wasn’t going to try and make her sleep in his room. Sliding into the nearest bathroom, she used the facilities and was in the processes of washing her hands before she caught the reflection of the shower in the mirror. Her head jerked back in surprise to see a pair of fuzzy pink underwear hanging from the shower bar. Blue eyebrows raising she stared at them for a moment before looking back down and shaking her head quickly, Don’t judge people Nikki, everyone has their ‘quirks’ and this guy wears lady’s underwear. Of course this was her final thought as she dried her hands and left the bathroom.

Walking out, she didn’t quite expect the place to suddenly fill with music. Again, her head jerked back in surprise. This wasn’t the music she was used to on her home planet but her mother always talked about Terran music and how enjoyable it was. Her head slowly began to bob along with the music as she walked back down the hall to rejoin Quill only to find that he wasn’t in the place where she had left him. Okay… Following the direction he might have gone, she poked her head around the corner to find him dancing in his room to the music that was echoing throughout the ship. A small closed mouth smile curled the corners of her full lips as she leaned up against the door frame looking into his room, not wanting to invade his privacy. Her head as bobbing along to the music and her foot began to tap along the floor before she spoke. “It’s been a long time since I’ve seen someone dance, you’re not bad.”
Sharon held her breathe, worry that he might tell her that they weren’t okay and that he would need some time to make the choice on if they could still even chat or not. Sure, everything seemed to be going alright but the female side of her brain (the non-logical side) kept questioning things over and over again. And as much as she didn’t want to listen to it, she knew she had to ask the question; so she held her breath awaiting an answer in a mixture of hope and worry about how the situation would end.

It felt like an eternity as she stared up at the gorgeous man, her heart pounding away in her chest as the palms of her hands rested gently against his muscular chest. It wasn’t until the smirk came across his lips and the nods happened that she finally relaxed, her breath being let out in a steady stream. Okay maybe holding her breath while awaiting an answer was not the best idea but sometimes it’s just what happens to a girl when she gets overly stressed out. A small nod left her in response as her lips curled into a smile. This time it was her turn to take a risk.

Sharon gently leaned into the large man, her hands traveling up his chest to his shoulders to be followed by her arms that wrapped around his neck. Her deep blue eyes never left his as she softly laid her small body against his. Tilting her head to one side, she whispered softly, “I will never lie to you again Steve, I promise.” With that she placed her full soft lips against his once more, sealing that promise with a kiss.
Lexi couldn’t help but laugh at his comment about his underwear. “I feel you my dear I really do.” She could relate. A lot of tucking and rolling gave way her pants allowing some of the cold snow to get inside of her jeans. But aside from wet underwear they both were grinning ear to ear and laughing a lot. It was a good date day for their three month anniversary. This little fact may not seem like much but for a crime-fighting-superhero-couple-who-have-been-wanting-to-date-forever, it was kind of a big thing.

Parking at the curb in front of Peter’s house, Lexi watching him walk out tilting her head slightly as he did so. God he was so handsome and always has been so it was surprising to her that she never thought of trying to do something with him sooner. But better late than never because never is regrettable. Being with Peter is something she would never regret and it’s about time (as Aunt May would put it). Checking her reflection in the mirror she fixed her hair to the best she could before freshening up her makeup and tossing her bag into the back seat as he returned and climbed back into the car. “Oh Peter my how you’ve gone.” Lexi said in her ‘mocking old ladies’ tone. “You’ve been eating your vegetables and drinking your milk. Boy you’ve gotten tall. Those eight hours of sleep a night is really doing good for you. You’ve turned into a handsome young man, a young lady would be lucky to have you… if only I was thirty years younger…” Her voice was playful and teasing but the twinkle in her eye said she was pretty sure Aunt May’s friends would be saying those things as soon as he left. And let’s face it, Lexi was very lucky to have a man like Peter, and a friend like Peter.

“So I’m curious.” She began, a starter always to something that could lead to asking for information he might not want to give her. “Did you know what I was getting at when I spoke about the hero’s reward on my rooftop? The night of the interview.”
