As she spoke, he seemed to stare at her which made her double check herself in her mind. Was she saying things right? Was she standing properly, did she have something on her face? Was her hair out of line? Did she smell? Was she giving off an aurora of chilliness because of her powers? Did she have some weird look on her face when she spoke? Was she talking to loud? Was it too soon or becoming uncomfortable because of what she was offering him? Her mind raced as there was a pause between her finishing her explanation and his answer, her face ready to turn red due to the fact that she might have done something wrong.

“I don’t know what your accomidations look like for this evening but I’d be whole heartedly saddened if you were to leave and not contact me with an answer.” Looking around she leaned to him with a whisper. “To be honest, I didn’t plan this, Anna did; I don’t know most of the people here and none of them seem to realize that it is my party. I think they came for the food.” She stood upright with a small laugh. A waiter walked by holding a tray of white wine, stopping him, she took two glasses and handed one to Sadon. “Here, a toast, to a possible new partnership.” She said softly with another charming smile before tapping her glass against his and taking a sip of the wine.

Her head jerked back slightly in surprise, “Oh it is warm.” With that she brought up her free hand and gently brushed a delicate finger against the glass. The glass fogged slightly to show the chill before returning to being see through, reaching forward, she brushed her finger against his glass which did the same thing. The cold wasn’t enough to catch someone off guard or scare them. It was more like that first toe poke into a pool. “There, it tastes a lot better when it’s chilled.” She said with a nod before standing upright and looking around.

Gaze only wondering for a moment before going back to him, “Come, allow me to show you the forge; I see no better time than the present.” Her smile was charming, and inviting along with her smooth movements as she gently gestured for him to follow her out of the large wooden doors and to the silent hallways that would lead them down the path towards the forge. The forge itself was a bit deep into the castle and down a large flight of stairs but Elsa was happy to get away from the party, and even happier to be in company of someone who might be rather interesting. Her only hope was that he followed.
Elsa found herself staring at the man with a small closed mouth smile across her full lips. She was being observant, taking in his strong features and distinct ‘worked my whole life’ look. There was no doubt he had been a forger for a long time and that it was something he was passionate about. His face booked rough but a small bit of softness behind those intense features. It was almost captivating as she found herself starting in the mists of the silence… even though there was a party, her party, happening around them.

His sudden talk made her jump slightly. How long had she been dozing off!? Oh goodness she was taking after Anna. The smile curled larger as she realized that she had used the phrase ‘trade’ instead of pay. “My apologies, I’m used to dealing in trades than offering a form of pay. Your lodging would be covered during your work here and you would have access to the forgery under the castle along with the help of our local blacksmith out of his shop and help within the one below us. I understand the comfort of working within your own shop but I don’t want you to feel like you are required to bring everything from your shop here to Arendelle. As for the general pay, I will pay you whatever you think is fair for the tasks I would ask you to do. If you would like to make your decision after seeing the world space I could offer you I’d be more than happy to show it to you.” The smile of encouragement moved across her lips as she tilted her head to one side watching the experienced forger, would he turn the offer down? Her blue eyes twinkled and her smile expanded hoping he wouldn’t.

Arendelle was an interesting place that’s for sure. Between the magical creatures outside of town, the things that live in the water (which were not happy when Elsa brought on an intense winter due to her stress when she was first crowned as Queen) and a Queen with magical powers of ice; it certainly was different compared to a lot of other places. Most people sought a connection with the royal family due to the possible trades of fish, fabric and of course, ice. But what places didn’t realize is that lacked a skilled blacksmith who could forge more than just swords.

“It’s good to hear someone as skilled as yourself is versatile in other areas.” Elsa said with a gentle smile as her blush disappeared from her cheeks once more. “If you’d be interested, I have some things around the kingdom that require a skilled hand of a blacksmith and our kingdom’s main blacksmith is getting a bit too old to do things that the job would require. Some things are simple, replacing dented designed structures to more intense projects. A lot of women here in the country make fabrics from dresses to rugs to curtains that become important exports but the machines they are using are getting warn and rusty; a replacement is becoming a near necessity and our blacksmith can’t work on something so intense.”

Now she felt like she was blabbering, which was indicted by an apologetic wave of her hand. “I apologize, I tend to talk more than is actually needed. In summation, I have some projects I need done to help keep Arendelle functioning. Would you be interested in doing a trade?” Trade being defined by payment of some kind; a small closed lip smile moved across her glossy red lips as she tilted her head to one side watching his face as if hoping it would give an answer before he would speak. Was it too soon to ask such things? Was she making the situation uncomfortable by bringing it up? Or was she over thinking it?
Anna’s response was rather typical; finding no real rhyme or reason to explain about Olaf. Kristoff seemed to be used to it by his gentle shrug and the fact that he was still called Sven, even though the snowman was at their wedding. Elsa’s pale soft face turned a small shade of pink when Sadon mentioned that the Arendelle was full of surprises and she turned her face away in an attempt to hide the appearance of the blush. It wasn’t a bad ‘I’m embarrassed’ blush but it had been so long since someone who never knew about Arendelle and its… differences, was in town.

Upon the exit of Olaf, just as magically as he appeared, Elsa waved gently before turning her attention back to the young man. “Do you only deal in armory work or do you also work into other areas that require metal work details, designs and structures?”

Anna opened her mouth to respond, as if she would honestly know the answer but Kristoff cut her off quickly. “Honey let’s go get some chocolate.” And much like the ADD young lady Anna was, she began to pull her husband towards the buffet and most importantly… the chocolate. Elsa shot Kristoff a grateful look; this was a bit of business that she was about to attend in and it was apparent enough to her brother-in-law that it needed to be talked about. He knew how to keep Anna under control and happy… they were lucky to have each other…

Her attention moved back to Sadon was she felt her hand tingle again, that feeling of loneliness appearing once more as she thought about her love life but she rubbed her hands together, as if warming them a bit to help the magic calm down as she did her best to ignore the feelings she was dealing with and kept her attention on the handsome blacksmith.
His story made her tilt her head slightly to the right in interest. He had lost his family as well; it’s sad how common that is and how many people can relate to the sadness her sister and her went through. A gentle smile followed by a few nods of understanding left Elsa as placed the sheathed sword back into the case he had provided and closed the lid with a gentle click. “I do sympathize with your loss sir, for I can relate. But I know your father would be quite proud.” A reassuring smile moved across the Queen’s delicate face as she locked eyes with him once more. He seemed like such a tough man, being a blacksmith, but did he have some playfulness to him? Was that something worth exploring?

Elsa, what are you thinking? Her inner voice reprimanded her. He’s just a stranger that happens to be Kristoff’s best friend who showed up at your party. Why would something like that be worth exploring?! Another inner voice scaled inside of her, On a professional level, it wouldn’t be a bad thing to ask him if he outsourced his work… You do need help checking the metal workings of the farms and tools they are using, along with things around the castle to insure that everything is safe. One voice was her head and one voice was her heart… the probably was she didn’t know which was which.

Elsa opened her mouth to say something before she was cut off, a pitched voice echoed towards them; yelling a happy surprise at the presence of Anna and Sven! Olaf came from the crowd, his personal snow flurry floating above his head as he arrived at the group, excited to see Anna and ‘Sven’ after so long. “Hi guys!” He said, nearly jumping out of his snow with excitement as he hugged Anna’s leg who soon got to her knees and gave the snowman a proper hug.

Yes, yes let’s weird out the guy you’re going to ask for help by making an ice flower for a girl and bringing in the talking snowman. This is working out brilliantly. “Olaf, this is Sir Sadon, a highly talented blacksmith from Riverwood. Sir Sadon, this is Olaf.” Elsa said taking the case from him and waving towards one of the staff members who came and took it from her to place with her other things; in a small whisper she instructed them to be extremely careful with the item inside. Obviously she did value it. Her attention then moved back to the new man to watch his reaction about the snowman; it basically could make or break a possible relationship… with the blacksmith and the kingdom of Arendelle… that’s what she meant. Right… right?

His response of ‘your majesty’ as met with an eye roll from Anna, feeling that formalities weren’t needed among friends but Elsa welcomed the polite gesture with a gentle closed lip smile. Unlike Anna, Elsa stood much more properly, her hands gently folded in front of her; her gloves retired years ago when she was able to control her powers. Her blue eyes twinkled at the newcomer, a sense of playfulness much like her sister danced within them, though she held herself much like a royal would.

The holding out of a long case surprised her slightly, defined by her eyes expanding a bit and her lips curling into a larger smile. “That’s very kind of you, thank you.” She said softly as she reached out, unclasping the lashes with a delicate ease. “And thank you Kristoff.” Who seemed to give a classic ‘it was nothing’ shrug to her as he wrapped a large arm around Anna’s small waist. They were such a cute couple, Anna was very lucky to have someone at her side like that.

Lifting the lid, she let out a little gasp of surprise to see a blade wrapped in its sheath. She had never had a sword before, though you’d think it would be a common gift to receive; this was her first. Avoiding the use of words, she reached inside and gently took the sheath from the casing and wrapped her delicate hand around the sword pulling it completely out in one easy motion. Eyes expanding to their fullest size, her smile soon spread across her face showing her bright white teeth as she examined the expert craftsmanship that went into the creature. “Wow…” She said softly, her first word used to describe such a masterpiece.

“Lily, Lily no; don’t bother the queen.” A woman said, chasing after a young girl in a ball gown who seemed to make a be-line for Queen Elsa.

“Your majesty.” The young girl said giving the woman’s dress a gentle pull causing Elsa’s gaze to turn down to her. “Will you do the magic for me!?”

The little blonde was meant with a soft smile from the Queen as the mother hurried to the daughter’s side. “Of course. Here.” Elsa gently placed the sheath back into the case and took the girl’s right hand. Placing her left hand gently onto the girl’s palm, she rose up her hand. In the space occupying their parted palms an iced rose built itself, much to the squealing enjoyment of the little girl. Her mother gave Elsa an apologetic smile, which received a gentle ‘it’s okay’ smile in return.

When the rose was completed the young girl thanked the Queen and the woman excused her and her child from the small group. Turning her attention back to the sword, she took a minute to observe the sword before picking up the sheath and sliding it back into it. “You’re a master of your craft sir I’m very impressed. How long have you been doing blacksmith work?”
The place was crowded, so much that Elsa attempted to spot her sister in the mist of the people but to no such luck. Every time she would look and not find her sister, she give a small smile of satisfaction; simply because it was nice to see her sister so social. The girl was a social butterfly who could talk to anyone and everyone. Maybe that’s something that Elsa should learn from her sister. Talking to people isn’t a bad thing… unless their name is Hans, then that’s a different story.

“It was a pleasure to have you here.” Elsa said sweetly finishing up her conversation with someone who seemed to be eyeing the buffet table set up. “Please help yourself to as much as you’d like.” Her bright smile seemed to light up the room as she felt her powers tingle through her, her mind raced before she let out a long breathe, relaxing was key and right now it would be most relaxing to see her sister. Between her sisters love for her and her love for her sister; she had mastered control of her powers. But sadly, as much as she’d like to think the only love she needed was her sister’s… she always hoped for more.

Anna eventually found her way back to her husband; the redhead sprung from the ground and jumped on his back laughing the whole way. Kristoff didn’t even stumble, catching the small woman with ease and laughing with her. “Anna dear.” He said gently as he pealed the playful thing off of him and directed her attention to his friend. “This is Sadon Leeds from Riverwood.”

“Yes Sadon! Kristoff has told me a lot about you.”

“And this is my wife, Princess Anna of Arendelle…”

“Please just call me Anna.” Anna protested with a wave of her hand, never really being one for formalities, but giving a polite curtsey. Giving a small laugh she continued. “I hope the travels were well. Thank you for coming.”

“Anna! Kristoff!” Elsa’s voice echoed from a small distance before finally making her way to her family. The massive amount of people had kept them apart from her that she practically had to travel across the whole ball room before she found them. “How many people did you invite?” She asked in a small playful manner to her sister before turning her attention to the man. “Hello.” A smile spread across her full lips, a gentle and soft smile. Unlike her sister, Elsa held a lot more poise and elegance compared to her younger sister; then again, she is playing the role of a Queen, which means she needs to hold herself in a professional manner.

“Oh Elsa!” Anna said with excitement. “This is Sadon, one of Kristoff’s best friends. Sadon, this is my sister Elsa.” Of course Anna would avoid mentioning Elsa’s title; simply because Elsa was her sister and she’d rather not think of her than anything more than that. As mention of her personal title wasn’t something she enjoyed; she tended to forget that she should sometimes mention titles but the rolling eyes of her big sister said one thing; Elsa didn’t care.

She gave a small curtsey to him and a tender smile. “Welcome to Arendelle.” She said to Sadon.
It was a bit depressing not to have Anna around as much as she used to. Sure, she and Kristoff visiting as much as possible but they deserved the life outside the royal life. Elsa sat behind a desk, her thin fingers through her blonde hair that was down and out of its normal braid. There was so much paperwork to do as a Queen, between countries for foreign trade and providing many solutions to the problems around the country. Elsa fell back against her chair, hands sliding through the soft strains of her hair before her pale arms fell off the arms of the chair, now she had to make sure that the towns metal works were up to date. So much work! So little time for anything…

Anything at all… Elsa’s mind traveled back to the idea of how happy her Anna was with Kristoff, and she began to wonder as her blue eyes stared up at the ceiling of office she was in. A small sigh left her full lips as she observed the design of the ceiling for the twentieth time since she started the paperwork. Was she… jealous of her little sister’s love life? Maybe… but it wasn’t something she could let get to her. Her hand started to tingle, a small beam of ice shot out as she found herself thinking about her sister’s love and wishing for her own. The ice turned the floor of the office into an ice rink and it took Elsa’s chair beginning to slide away from the desk to realize what was happening. Stopping she found herself laughing a little before giving a wave of her hand to remove the ice and water a nearby lush green plant.

“Your majesty?” A voice called from the solid oak door, which pulled Elsa from her slumped position and caused her to rise to her feet.

“Come in.” Elsa called out to the door; it opened slowly to reveal one of the butlers who stood with a tender smile. The man had served her parents and helped her when she asked for information how things should be handled. “Princess Anna and Kristoff are here.” Kristoff was offered the title of Duke but turned it down, not wanting to fall into the royal category even though he married a princess. The man was humble and truly loved her sister, and Elsa really appreciated that.

“Wonderful thank you!” The blonde said with her blue eyes sparkling as she hurried past the butler after giving him a grateful smile and down the stairs. The doors to the entrance of the castle opened by the hands of the staff, but have the redhead nearly break down the door and jump in.

“HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!” She shouted at the top of her lungs as she tackled her blonde sister, nearly toppling the Queen over.

    “Birthday?” Elsa repeated in confusion.

“Don’t worry! I took care of everything!” Anna began to list off the things she had done by using her fingers. “I got the cake, sent out the invitations, invited many many people to the party! We’ve got music set up, and food… so so much food! And chocolate! Chocolate that you will be able to drown in.”

“Yes she was talking with four different people to find the right chocolate that she knew you’d love.” Kristoff said coming with a chuckle before giving his sister-in-law a hello hug.

“Come on, come on! I got you a beautiful dress!!” Anna said excitedly as she grabbed the arm of her sister as soon as the two let go and began to pull her towards the bedrooms. “Kristoff will guide the staff to set up everything…” The look on Kristoff said this was somewhat new information before he rolled his eyes dramatically and gave his wife a small side smile. The typically ‘I love you and will because you don’t traditionally do this’, as he turned to help guide the staff to prep for the party and the things they had brought.

“You look amazing!!” Anna said with a giggle. “I love you in blue! And this dark blue looks amazing! Not that I didn’t like your ice dress; but this, this looks wonderful!” Elsa stood looking at herself in the reflection of the mirror, she had re-braided her hair into her side braid with the snowflakes in it but the dress was a single shouldered dark blue dress that wrapped around her body and flared out at the bottom. “You might even find the special one tonight!” Anna said with a playful giggle as Elsa stared at herself in the mirror while Anna did her hair. “I’ll see you down there, party starts in ten minutes. People should be arriving any minute now!” Skipping towards the door, she looked back at her sister who was still staring at herself in the mirror. “Elsa, you look beautiful. We’ll see you downstairs; the buffet is going to be amazing.”

What if Anna was right? No not about the food but about the possibility of her finding someone especially; that would make her 25th birthday very special. Letting out a long breathe of air that she had been holding in since Anna helped her into the dress, Okay Elsa, you can do this, the likeness of you meeting someone isn’t high at all… just, just have a good time. She mentally couched herself with a soft sigh and a smile across her face, she did look beautiful; even if it wasn’t her classic light blue dress. Turning her heels she started towards the door and began to climb down the stairs, the ball room was buzzing with people already and the announcers were calling out names of the royals and nobles from other countries that were coming in. How many people did Anna invite and how long had she been putting this together to get out all these invites. A small giggle left her as she watched some people enter and were surprised to see each other, greeting everyone with open arms; including her sister who was bouncing around from person to person and introducing her husband to as many people as she could. Kristoff was a good sport and very social. Anna was very lucky.

Elsa, like her sister, didn’t wear a crown to show off royalty but that didn’t stop people from recognizing her. Soon the white blonde haired girl was socializing with the party guests, laughing and talking but… keeping an eye out for a possible special someone… a girl can hope right?
