Luckily for Nikki and her escape, the freak known as The Collector liked to keep things in their original design and functionality because it flew just as good as she remembered. Four years later she’s back on a Metra ship flying away from something else that wanted to end her, but what made it worse is that Quill had the choice to sell her out or not. From one thief to another; it wasn’t worth sticking around to hear his answer.

    ________
Years passed and Nikki learned a lot about herself. Mainly that she had a talent that not many people within her line of work did. She found out that flirting with people could really help her get what she wanted. Her Terran blood was enough to make people wonder what made her tick and few and far between people figured out that she was a Metra as well; those people weren’t alive to tell the tale because The Collector had put a bounty out for her; wanting her alive and offering 500,000 units for her capture and transport. Only a select few were informed of this bounty; people the universe typically considered the best, but they were going up again another ‘best’ and it tended to leave a place in rubble when the throw-down would begin.

The only nice though about the situation is that she was slowly eliminating people who could be a threat to her. It was either kill or become a prisoner for a mad man. When it comes down to it, talking a bounty hunter out of their hunt is nearly impossible, even less possible if you’re the target.

In their time apart, Nikki had become a lot quicker in her movements, sharper with her tongue and learned that flirting can get her a lot of things and a lot of ways that she wanted. Today was just like any other day in the life of Nikki Ivy as a bounty hunter; she had a target and she had to get him.

The freak she was tracking down this time was a drug dealing lowlife that was also dabbling into the dealing of slaves… as you can imagine, that isn’t something that Nikki fully agrees with. The good thing is that he deals with the slaves personally and when a beautiful blonde haired maiden showed up ‘looking for a job’, he invited her to the planet. Her ship was parked a ways away and she footed it across the plains of the land. A beautiful little planet; it was too bad that he had to be one it. She had become more discrete about her weapons of choice and chose to wear a nice looking black dress that stopped at her knees with a slit up to her side exposing a long leg; though she was smart, knowing full well she might have to do some running, jumping and possibly climbing, she wore a pair of short shorts under the dress, the black shorts disappeared under the dress and was rather hard to spot… and so was the foot long blade in a holster against her covered thigh. She had a good assortment of daggers within her reach behind her back and spikes built into the ends of her shoes to be activated by a press of a button by her toes. To say the least, she was prepared.

Entering the building that he had organized for her to meet him at she looked up; spotting a few cameras moving in motion. As soon as they weren’t looking at her, she threw daggers knocking them out before levitating them back to herself with a smile as she tucked them back into their place.

Walking back through the building she stopped, something didn’t feel right. That was until something crashed into the side of the building. And it wasn’t a basic crash; it was a good loud crash that shook the section of the building that she was in. Great someone else was moving in to her target! Jumping into one of the nearby rooms she stood behind the door waiting.

It didn’t take long before someone came in through the door and she slid out from behind it in a silent motion. Before the figure could turn in the dark room she jumped on their back. In the tussle the two rolled around the room, grunting and groaning the darkness as they seemed to dodge the punches that were being thrown. Soon they stopped after knocking over quite a few things and Nikki was on top. The blue haired woman had grabbed a dagger from the storage unit behind her back and held it up before her vision focused in on who was below her… “Star-Lord?” She said questioningly before she was lifted up off of Quill like a rag doll and put into a headlock.

Her legs kicked slightly and her dagger dropped to the ground with a small clank as Drax held her in the air. “Should I kill her?” He asked rather simply. Great just great, this is how she dies.
The echo of her friend’s ‘good morning’ brought a large smile across the blonde’s full red lips. Her white teeth spreading across her face as she pretended there was something actually interesting on the menu. Sure, she could probably repeat the whole thing by heart with how often she comes in, but it may surprise her one of these days. “Same old, same old.” She called out, responding to the question about her evening. “Another sleepless night and typing away on my laptop but what’s to be expected of me anymore? I practically live on a keyboard.” There was a hint of disappointment in her voice. Anyone who knew her well enough knew that she wanted to be on the police force and help prevent a lot of crime in the city but… well, thanks dad.

Placing down her menu, she pushed it off to the side and took up the water. “Cheers to the perfect waitress!” She said in a chipper voice. The conversation of why Aria chose to be a waitress instead of working for her parents was a conversation they never had. Plus Aria was very intelligent in the technology side of things, she could do so, so much but instead, she waits tables. Maybe the tips are good, who knows. It wasn’t Marian’s place to pry and she wasn’t going to ask questions that her friend may not want to answer.

After placing down her glass she began to doctor up her coffee before the door opened and her head turned to look to see who entered. It was Allan, an acquaintance she had met through Aria and an interesting guy at that… interesting meaning; she would never want to be on his bad side. But he seemed like a laid back quirky sort of fella as long as there was no tension. His mention of going into the kitchen caused her gaze to move back to Aria’s in a quick motion, blue eyes wide in horror as she dumped a bit more sugar into her coffee. “Please, I don’t want to die in a kitchen fire. If he’s that desperate for food that he’s willing to cook, just put it onto my tab.”

Her attention than moved back to Allan as she gave him a little wave of ‘come here’. “If you’re hungry I can spot you for a breakfast.”

Another door opened and another person entered as Marian stirred the sugar and creamer into the coffee, turning it a caramel brown color. The music entered the diner giving off a love feeling to the 60’s atmosphere and Marian found her head rocking gently to the music before it stopped. This time when she turned to see who entered, the young girl commented loudly about Robin Hood’s adventure that had been plastered on the television and the radio this morning. Of course, she read about it as soon as Mister Flanagan went to the police about it at 3:36am so it wasn’t that new of news to her but she still let out a small sigh. “As much as I can see his reasoning behind his actions, I hope he doesn’t get himself into something he can’t handle… then again Flanagan was a creep…” Just talking about it sent a shiver up her spine and her whole body shuddered. “Just thinking about him makes me feel sick.”

She shook her head, her blonde hair flying around her face before settling back down on her back and shoulders as she took up her fork and knife and began to cut into her syrup covered pancakes. “Though I hope, if Robin Hood ever does get caught, that I’m the stenographer who gets the job!” Maybe, just maybe, her fan-girl crush isn’t all that healthy; especially considering her father is the main person who wants Robin and the Merry Men behind bars.

Not sure how Jin would fit in there, unless they plant her as part of the waitstaff. She has no idea how to be fancy, you might as well as her to speak French.

    Oh my god!!!
She'd be awesome in the wait staff.
Pick pocketing would be easy for her and very helpful!
She'd also have it in to create distractions between messing up staff orders and causing conflict between people by maybe moving items from some person to another that could cause distrust in the society.
This is an idea for a reason for everyone to leave the party without a group vanishing for some reason; she could start a fire in the kitchen which would cause the party as a need to evacuate!
A reason for everyone to leave.

Truth. I'm surprised that he posted from the phone at all! I can't be bothered to type anything more than a few sentences with my phone. Between my big fingers and the autocorrect, it takes me ages to get down what I want.

Tell me about it, I'm posting from my phone and organizing is a pain!
That and if I let it sit too long it erases the post...
    GRRRR!!!!!
But I have to wait for boss to leave before I can pull out my laptop....
    -shifty eyes-
Yes bad girl, I am at work.

I also have an idea on how we can possibly involve everyone in one event in the RPA judge is having a fund raiser party for a high end judge Robert used to work for so he knows he's corrupt to the core, so the Merry Men go in undercover, with Robin disguised as a guest, where he encounters Marian, and also tries his luck of pick pocketing said judge, while other members of the gang hack in to his accounts, and get out. Maybe Robin or someone else gets caught, so they have a dramatic escape as well. Something to get the RP running! hahaha

    I'm up for this idea!
    Count me in!
I could have Marian mention it to Aria since she's part of a rich family, it would make sense for Aria to show up if she wanted to.
And in turn she could bring up the idea to Robert OR Allan could since he'd most likely overhear the conversation or Marian would just bring it up with him there, not thinking anything of it.
    -smiles-
I'd be willing to do that if that's how we want to go about it!

Not at all! I welcome the help, my writing has been really lacking lately.

I will say that I think that Qdkowboy really should consider redoing his post interact with yours; but he was on his phone and phones, like I said, suck.
No matter the size and 'smart phones' are anything but smart!

*puzzled* But Jin hit the guy with the gun pointed at John across the face... with a rather large wrench. His post... and my post... can't exist in the same universe. So... *completely lost on how to continue* Help?

So I have a couple questions about your post.
Would you mind if I PMed you?
I can understand the confusion reading the post, just a suggestion if you wish to write a response to what he wrote.
I think that would help build the story between the two of them, maybe he could take the injured Jin to Tuck.
    -smiles-
If you would like any suggestions for progress I'd be happy to help; I love helping people grow as writers, especially if they're willing to return the favor!
    -beams-

Or if I'm being too aggressive you could say "Shut up Melly" and I'd understand and not be offended.
    -laughs-

You seem to have completely ignored my post...

He probably didn't see it, or posted this before he got a chance to read it; (caught that he posted a while ago but I do know reading anything is hard on a phone) I understand the pain it is to be on a phone and try to role play.
    -smiles-
Don't worry Dizzy, I'm sure he'd message back if he had power saying he did catch your awesome post.
    -nods-

If I may make a suggestion, you could have Jin yell to John about someone about to jump him or shoot him; just an idea for communication between the characters.
    -smiles-
Any civilians or non-working Merry Men want to join Marian in the diner for breakfast?
    -beams-
Can't wait to read more about Little John and whoever join's adventures with the drug lords for the night run!
Some people were out fighting crime; righting the wrongs in the massive city known as Manhattan and others… others were sleeping in their beds. Marian Anderson was neither fighting nor sleeping. She was sitting on her couch, curled up in a ball from 3am to 6am when her alarm would normally go off typing away on her computer at lightning speed! Information flew across her screen in massive portions and she catalogued everything into her nearly photographic memory. Tonight’s topic; these so called ‘Merry Men’. A group of men and women doing what they can to make the city a better place; while she didn’t agree much with the idea of robbing people… she could understand the logic behind robbing those who are robbing others.

Shutting her computer, the blonde haired girl rubbed her blue eyes roughly. She didn’t like when she’d get hit with insomnia but her father would kill her if he found her out and about the streets of Manhattan in the evenings. So her best bet to explore the city was one of the few ‘down times’ it had, and that was early in the mornings, when the night owls crashed and the day birds were just waking up. Sliding her laptop off of her lap, the blonde moved herself through her flat and began to start her morning routine for the second time today, except she didn’t linger in the shower this time.

Dressed in her work clothes, a pencil knee length black skirt and a dark blue blouse with a black jacket; the blonde left her flat locking it tightly behind her with the security code and normal dead bolt. She did always hope that she had nothing worth the Merry Men trying to steal but you could never be too safe; they weren’t the only people out there and not all of them have reasonable intentions.

It did suck driving in the city, but Marian shot her way through the streets in her little white MX-5 Miata 11 as her fellow early birds rose for their morning… whatevers. Marian, however, had her beloved morning routine and it always began with a hearty breakfast of freebee sized pancakes, a pile of eggs, couple pieces of toast and a massive amount of syrup with coffee and Splenda from her favorite 60s themed diner by her old school friend Aria. Boarding school was bore but their friendship made it tolerable. And their friendly debates always made things more interesting.

“Morning!” Her voice carried through the nearly empty diner as she slid herself into one of the booths and tossed her purse on the other side as she picked up the menu; like she was actually going to change what she was going to eat. She knew what she wanted already and was interested in discussing the news that echoed through her radio about more actions of the Merry Men, maybe Aria heard more than what Marian had heard. She was always full of information that she couldn’t find… somehow. A mental shrug pushed it off the thought as she skimmed over the menu wondering how many people would wonder in this fine morning.
