“Coolest kid my ass.” Marian muttered playfully under her breathe as he started over to her. She watched Aria disappear into the kitchen to get Allan his food before she began to eat softly. She loved coming here because the mornings were always interesting. Whether it was just a chit chatting time with Aria or it was bombarded with people, it was never boring. Then again have you met Aria and Allan? They are anything but boring people.

Something out of the corner of her eye caught her attention and her gaze moved from her food to the window to notice a limping beggar walking by. A small look of pity moved across her face even though she failed to realize it was her donut friend who normally was outside the courthouse. She felt bad for the amount of homeless people in Manhattan and the city’s idea of either ignoring them or throwing them into prison was anything but good. A small sigh left Marian after she finished her food as she watched the man limp onward. The poor guy.

Allan had made his way in front of her and sat down by the time she snapped out of her mental pity party she was throwing for the beggar and her attention turned back to him. His whole mannerisms changed when he seemed to put two and two together that Marian was having a school girl/fan girl crush on Robin Hood. “What? Me? No. No no no no no no…” She responded as quick as she could, praying that his food would show up sooner than she would need to explain herself. In an attempt to keep herself from blabbering any more she shoved her mouth full of food and chewed, watching Allan out of the corner of her eyes seeing he still seemed interested in the topic of her fan girl crush.

“Look.” She said dabbing her mouth with the napkin, well aware that she wouldn’t get away from the topic with Allen, “I admire what he does and yeah, maybe the heroics can get to a girl from time to time but… well it’s dangerous too. So I’d call it more of a fan girl crush than really anything else. Kind of one of those, ‘Oh wow that could be really amazing but very dangerous at the same time.’” She spoke mocking a valley girl dreaming style voice before returning to her normal one and giving him a shrug. “Logic and reason says a girl shouldn’t but the dreaming side always holds a slight bit of hope but let’s face it. It’s not going to happen.” She said with a giggle to herself more than anything else before she went back to eating in hopes that her answer would be enough to satisfy his curiosity.

Nikki’s small feet swung as she began to reach for the larger blade attached to her right covered thigh but Quill had ordered the brute to let her go and inherently she fell to the floor with a thud. It took a moment for her to regain her ability to breath before she got to her feet in a quick motion grabbing her fallen dagger from the floor around the same time as Quill got up. Her chocolate gaze moved to him as he mentioned them being friends; the guy who could have sold her out for money calling her a friend. Did she really want to agree to that?

“Friend?” She repeated in a sarcastic manner waving her free single hand. “Friend is a joke. You owe me money and almost sold me to a creep with white hair and creatures in glass cases. That’s a wonderful definition of a friend.” When he asked brought her here, she let out a small sigh. “Same reason you’re probably here Star-Lord. Money, The guy’s worth a lot and if you don’t mind I’d rather get the reward because I’m in need of it.” More than she was willing to admit to two stranger and a man who almost sold her to the Collector. “So I need to get to him before anyone else, especially those Guardians who seem to end up with insight that the rest of us easily don’t get. Now if you’ll excuse me. I have a slave trading scumbag to catch and as you can imagine, I have a personal dislike for people who trade and sell others.” With that she shot Quill a dirty look before storming out.

Before anything else could happen and Nikki barely made it into the hallway, the ground under them began to rumble and shake, juggling the people around as the side of the building that they were in seemed to explode to expose a ship attempting to take off.

Nikki’s legs kicked into a run as she ran towards the ship starting to rising. Her hand reached out, her fingers mimicking as if she was holding on of the large pieces of rubbles. She pulled her hand up, the piece lifted into the air and as she pulled her arm back, the piece flew backwards then… she threw her arm forward and released her fingers; the piece of rubble took off in her pointed direction flying directly into the jet feed of the engine and got sucked inside the intake. The engine soon dropped into silence for moment, a small fear moved through Nikki that the ship was going to take off. Then the beautiful sound of clanking began, she had reached her target and it was taking out the engine to prevent flight… only to see that the engine began to clank and bang louder than she expected.

“Shit.” She said softly to herself, feeling the presence of three more bodies join her at the hole. She wasn’t sure just how much they saw but as you can imagine, she wasn’t happy about the upcoming situation. The ship in front of them began to spin out of control making circles in flight before it became understandable that the driver was no longer in control and the ship began to crash. Of course it could just land and Nikki could end everything by taking him into custody. But… that wasn’t the case. Upon the impact of landing, the ship made a loud couple of banging noises before dropping into silence… than BAM the ship exploded, and began to the distance the group was at the explosion covered the group in dust, engine oil and yes… some blood. There was a small silence between the four before Nikki spit some dust/oil/blood out of her mouth. “Well, that’s the first time that’s ever happened. Normally that works. Well shit.”

A rumble echoed nearby, the guy’s bots had found her ship and she could see the glow of the silver and blue from the distance before it went up in flames. “Oh, well that’s lovely, like a spring time flower in the sun.”

“It looks more like an explosion.” Drax spoke up after spitting some things about of his mouth and observing the additional explosion.

“Thank you Captain obvious.” Nikki remarked sarcastically.

“I’m not a Captain but Quill is.”

To this, Nikki didn’t know how to respond. She turned her attention to Drax and gave him a look that could only be described as a ‘really’ look that women typically tend to give men when they say or do something stupid; and as far as Nikki was concerned, he deserved the look for not understanding sarcasm.
Sharon was struggling with the bandage to the point where she was holding part of it in her mouth and tugging on it with her teeth. As was expected, just like everything in her life, Steve walked in just in time to see her looking like an angry dog. Her blue eyes shot up to look up at him as he walked inside, the fabric in her mouth in her mouth and her cheeks red in embarrassment that he caught her in such a weird moment. Spitting out the fabric from her mouth she gave an innocent and rather embarrassed smile. “A hand would be better than my teeth.” She said innocently as she watched him sit down and take the fabric from her.

Her gaze watched his face; he seemed to be not wanting to look at her as he worked on her arm. Confused, she tilted her head to one side, watching him for a moment longer before feeling his hand travel up her arm to her shoulder and rested there. “It’s just a graze Steve, I promise. Please don’t fret. I’m fine.” Again he didn’t look up at her. Her small free hand reached up, placing itself gently against his far cheek and turning his head to finally look at her. “You did everything you could do today Steve, please don’t beat yourself up for anything. We’ll catch this guy. We’re all a team; all of S.H.I.E.L.D. and as a team, we’ll track down who that guy was and who hacked into S.H.I.E.L.D.’s main frame. With everything you did do, I thank you Steve but please don’t avoid eye contact with me. That hurts me more than this graze.”
“You’re welcome.” Lexi said softly. The whole situation was hard to get Lexi to give a full bright smile. The situation was saddening and seeing Harry in such a state was horrible. When they were younger he was the more active one of the three; running, jumping, causing miniature chaos if he could. Now he was hooked up to machines that were beeping and booping indicating his vital signs and reminding the room of the pain he was going through. Her voice was staying soft for two reasons; one, she didn’t think being loud was a good idea and two, seeing him like this was nearly getting her to the point of tears.

Their presence for the visit was short lived. And as Peter wanted to excuse them she rose with him. Knowing that if they stayed for too long, it wouldn’t be good for either of their mental states to see their friend like this. “We certainly will be back and Peter’s right, you really do need your rest. See you later Harry.” See you later sounded a lot better than saying good bye. They were going to see each other again and hopefully when that encounter happened he’d be in a better state.

At the door, Harry called to talk to Peter in private. There was a small exchange of glances between Lexi and Peter before he said he’d be right out. She gave him a nod, the smile on his lips reassuring that everything would be okay and Lexi stepped outside, the door shutting softly behind her.

The raven haired girl found herself leaning against the wall of the hospital. Some tears running down her cheeks as a small gloved hand went to cover her mouth. Small little whimpers left her covered lips as she thought about what she had just seen in the hospital bed. Harry looked horrible and yeah, he’s been through a lot but he didn’t deserve anything that had happened to him. It was painful to see someone you care about so much in such a state. Harry did mean a lot to her, she would consider him a dear, dear friend so that… that was hard.

She knew she didn’t have long to cry before Peter came out, she didn’t need to be emotional about this in front of him considering he was probably feeling the same way. So she let out as much as she could in the small amount of time before she pulled her hand from her face and focused on her breathing, calming herself down. Her blue eyes glossy with the tears but she placed her cold gloves against her cheeks causing them to cool down from the redness they had gained from her tears. Wiping away the final drops from her eyes she turned as the door opened.

“This was a good idea,” She said softly to Peter, looping her arm into his and taking his hand in her small gloved one. “Thank you for thinking of this Peter.”
The group of pencil pushers stared at the Captain, even Sharon got to her feet wanting to hear what had happened to the shooter and what his ties could be with the people who bombed S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters. Knowing what it’s like to be on the other side of a stare down, Sharon softened her face to make it look like one of comfort and reassurance. Whether the Captain had good news or bad news, she wanted to make sure that he knew that she was on his side and not someone who would judge him if something did go wrong.

When Captain said that the shooter got away, everyone’s faces changed but hers. She kept that ‘I believe in you and everything will be okay’ look on her face. She wasn’t sure if that meant anything to him but she knew her feelings towards the situation was true. If the shooter did get away, that means there was something very different about him, and that different was something that really should be noted. The conversation between the men going back and forth caused her and the group’s heads to turn form one person to another and when the mention of relocation came up, no one really knew how to answer. In fact, all gazes except for Sharon’s fell to the floor.

Then those words came up… Stark Towers a chill moved through her as Tony landed next to them and removed his helmet to explain his situation that he’d be able to house the team while the building was being rebuilt. If there was one thing for certain, it was that Stark Towers would be the next safest place for S.H.I.E.L.D. to move to, another thing was for certain… Sharon was not going to like it there.

“As much as I’d rather not take that offer… it’s the only option we have. “ Director Fury said before turning to the group of people that had begun to crowd around the three. “Tomorrow, you all will report for work at Stark Towers. I’m sure Mister Stark will have everything set up by the time you get in to be able to return to your regular jobs.”

“And drinks.” Tony said encouragingly glancing over at Sharon for a moment longer than everyone else before closing the mask. “But if you’ll excuse me, I really should go get a few things touched up at Stark Towers before everyone arrives. Good bye.” With that, he took off leaving the group there.

Later on in the evening Sharon was at her home, she had gotten back before Steve returned home but as an invite for him to come in, she left her front door open. In a white tank top and a pair of dark blue jeans, she sat on her couch attempting to wrap her arm without help. The problem was the shot was hit on her right arm and attempting to wrap with her left hand and using her chin as some form of holding tool. To say the least, it wasn’t working out so well and the faces she was making weren’t the most flattering. In fact she probably looked a bit stupid doing them but hey, she was trying!

    Hey Rowdy,
When you're quoting someone could you possibly do it in some other fashion than just quotes?
Maybe Italics along with the quotes.
My first thought was that she was repeating what was said allowed with the way you wrote it.
Elsa had never been so nervous in her life. She was nearly holding her breath as he flipped through the pages of her elegant handwriting. She began to fidget with her hands, feeling the power shooting through them and causing a tingling sensation of massive proportion. This was not good. Her magic was starting to push through her and she could feel the car start to get cold under her butt and the ice began to crawl up the back of the chair making looking designs and shapes as it crawled up the back, the blue a lighter color of her dark blue dress.

When he said that it was something he could see doing and on time, she found herself leaning forward, staring him down with those large innocent blue eyes watching him closely. Maybe she did take after her little sister… just a bit, considering that she was staring him down with innocent, almost pouting and pleading eyes much like her sister did to get what she would want. It’s rather humorous because she never really thought it was something that would work. But as he stuck out his hand, Elsa leaned back against the chair, feeling all the ice dissipate from the back of the chair.

“We have a deal.” She repeated with a nod and reached out her hand and shook his with a firm authority style grip. She wasn’t going to cheat him out of anything and if he was a friend of Kristoff’s, she could only hope that he would be able to provide a good service. As they let go of hands she picked up her glass of wine and took a small sip before continuing. “Would you prefer to work from your own forge and bring things back; or would you feel comfortable using the one here in the castle? If you’d prefer your own forge, I understand and can send people to pick up the supplies from you when they are completed but if you choose to stay we can provide you a room here in the castle and provide you with food and anything you may need. Free of charge I assure you.”
Lexi took Peter’s hand as they started inside in the snow. The poor guy didn’t ever dress for the proper weather anyway so she felt herself close to him in an attempt to give him some warmth before they entered the building. “It is nice.” She said softly as they carried their bags with their wrapped gifts inside the building.

The interaction with Peter and the counter lady just made Lexi grin as she swallowed back giggle after giggle. Oh this young woman did not know what she was getting herself into. She obviously didn’t know and didn’t realize that Peter Parker was one of the few men on the planet that had Norman Osborne on speed dial and if he started making beats with people, he could win so much money. The look on the girl’s face was priceless when Peter handed her his phone and the young lady heard Mister Osborne’s voice demanding the woman to let the two people in front of her in. In fact, Mister Osborne’s voice was so strong and demanding that Lexi’s blue eyes went wide as he seemed to explode. However, Peter’s nonchalant manner of taking the phone back saying good bye and hanging up caused her to nearly explode in laughter. She placed her face against Peter’s cold shoulder in an attempt to calm down her cheeks and to keep herself from laughing aloud.

“Peter Parker and his connections.” She said with a giggle as they started down the hall. “Aren’t I a lucky girl to be with someone with so many connections?” Giving his arm a little squeeze with her free hand she leaned over and kissed his cold shoulder gently before they were standing outside of Harry’s room. She took in a deep breathe and held it as Peter walked in first, Lexi slowly behind him still hand and hand with her man.

Harry looked horrible, but he could be dead… so weighing the two, this was, in fact, a better situation. A small closed mouth smile moved across Lexi’s full lips as she followed Peter to Harry’s bedside and they took the seats were provided; probably used by his parents earlier in the day. “Don’t sit up, just lay back and relax.” She said in a comforting tone, the smile still on her lips as she attempted to not look sad about his condition. “We were bound to come and visit sooner or later. The idea of sooner seemed more enjoyable for us.” That was a nicer version instead of saying they were worried they’d miss there chance to make peace with him before he passed.

“It’s a little early but we got you some Christmas gifts.” She said with a small cheesy smile as she handed him the wrapped gift she had carried in, hers but she didn’t want to make mention that she had picked out one over the other. It might look better if both of the gifts came from the two of them. “Merry Christmas Harry.”
