Having this kind of conflict in front of Steve was embarrassing. Sharon didn’t like him having to deal with other men getting ‘fresh’ with her and putting any doubt in his mind that she would be interested in someone other than him. And let’s face it, Tony loved the idea of putting doubt in people’s mind. The lecture with Loki comes to mind and even without knowing the current actions between Sharon and Steve, he was already making her feel uncomfortable.

A shrug lifted and fell her small shoulders as she walked slowly passed him gently taking the door and shutting it, closing them inside the room and away from the outside world. “Yeah, I’m not much of a fan of the whole arrogant self-absorbed pricks.” A smirk moved across her full lips as she stepped to him, her hands slowly sliding up his chest as her lips curled into a grin. “I tend to be a sucker for old fashion charms, classic ways and something about guys from Brooklyn with that 1920s ideal tends to be a winner for me…”

Her arms gently wrapped around his neck as she leaned softly into him. “You don’t happen to know anyone like that do you?” She asked playfully with a wink as her fingers danced along his neck.
As the old man smacked his lips in an enjoying fashion towards the coffee, Marian couldn’t help but smile with joy. It was always nice when you could make someone happy, even if it was an old begging man on the corner. Even she enjoyed his company as well and as her blue gaze turned back to him, she listened closely to his stories. The same sad tale was told over and over again and the tales were always just as the promised; sad and almost exactly the same. Her head lifted and fell in a small nod a gentle smile crept across her full lips. Even though she couldn’t relate, she did wish to show as much empathy as possible. A listening ear never hurt.

His large hand patting her shoulder made her smile at him, flashing her pearly white teeth as she finished up her cup of coffee and slid it into the paper bag. A laugh left her as he began to talk about the gadgets that he never really understood but knew that the Merry Men were attempting to use them for good. But could you blame her for wanting to be in the room when Robin Hood was brought in; a lot of people were after him, it wouldn’t be a surprise that he would get caught. But if that many people could believe it wouldn’t happen than it most likely won’t. People tend to not rat out someone who was helping so many people… even Marian wouldn’t if she knew who he was.

“A charming man?” She repeated with a bit of a giggle before leaning back on her hands. “Charmers make the world go around and sometimes danger can be fun…” Her voice drug on once again, the poor love-sick girl was getting lost in her thoughts as Allan’s famous words about her crush pulled her back into reality; maybe she should be a little bit more focused on work instead of her little crush.

“Oh huh?” She said snapping back into reality and nodding with a smile. “Oh yes, work; that’s right.” A small giggle left her as she crumpled up the empty bag and got to her feet and looped her purse over her arm. “Yes, tomorrow of course.” With that she helped the old to his feet before giving him a bright smile. “See you tomorrow!”

After venturing inside, she made her way to her little cubical and pulled out her cell phone to text Aria.

Text: Hey, I need to go outfit shopping before the party, do you wanna go? We’ll make a girl’s day out of it!
Nikki’s delicate hands worked like with expert skills to clean the throwing knives as she heard the large man said he liked her. A smirk moved across her full lips while the cloth danced across the blade, giving it a glossy look to the silver. Her hand movements would delicately clean on blade and slide it back into place before beginning to wash another. His question made her smirk. She couldn’t believe that someone was asking her about her kill count. “That’s a good question.” She said with a grin. “I’ve taken many lives; verging in the three hundreds but my job doesn’t quite allow me to kill as many people as I want to. You’d be surprised at how many people want their captures alive.”

A shrug lifted her small shoulders before she put away the final blade, her father’s sword. She unsheathed it with ease and grace before gently rubbing it down with the rag. “This, this blade has seen many thousands of deaths. It’s been passed down through my family generations. Unfortunately I’m the last of my family so the line ends with me.” A shrug lifted her shoulders again before finished off her final blade and throw it over her shoulder and back into the sheath as Peter presented his food.

Smiling slightly, she picked up her food and was about to eat before she noticed Gamora coming in, the tension in the room rose even with the relaxation of the music when the two women sat across from each other doing their best to ignore one another. So far so good…
Sharon took a couple steps into the apartment in wonder. In fact, half of her was afraid to touch anything, in fear it might break and Tony would have it come out of her paycheck. The other half wanted to jump around like an excited kid. This looked like an oversize hotel room that was unnecessarily large and exciting to be in. Placing her purse gently down on the coffee table in front of the couch she peeled off her black jacket revealing her white blouse and draped it along the couch’s arm before placing her hands on her black slack covered hips. She had to give it to Stark; he certainly knew how to decorate a place to fit a girl’s taste. Too bad he didn’t fit her taste for everything else. Her taste was more along the lines of…

A voice rang softly into her room and she turned around, her body now facing the voice that belonged to her taste. Shrugging her shoulders softly she slipped her hands into her pockets giving him a tender smile. “It’s not the place that makes it a home…” She said softly, walking to him to close the gap between the two; her smile getting brighter as she did so. “It’s the company that you keep. And as long as I have a great neighbor I’m not going to complain.”

“Of course you’ll have a great neighbor!” As if his senses were tingling, Tony Stark made his very unwanted appearance behind Steve and even with Steve being taller and a lot more built than the man, Tony somehow slipped by him and entered the room without permission. “You’ll be next to me. I mean, what more could you ask for?” His toothy grin seemed to give off the impression that he didn’t understand that in some cultures (and times) coming in without asking would be considered rude. And as far as Sharon was concerned, the only person she had given permission to enter her room without her consent is the same one still in the doorway. “In case you didn’t see...” Tony said plucking the keys from the wall hanger and holding both of them out in the palm of his hand to her. “I left you two house keys, just in case you wanted to leave one with someone for… safe keeping.” Even in his jeans and black ACDC t-shirt, a normal girl could not deny that the glowing chested man wasn’t a good looking guy.

And while Sharon Carter couldn’t deny that he was a decent looking guy, she could easily say that she didn’t feel anything else towards him. Plucking one key from his hand, she slid it into her pocket. “That’s a good idea.” Before he could close his hand around the key, signaling that he was the one to receive it; she removed it from his palm and walked past him.

“Captain,” She began, hating the formality of things but knowing that the show must go on. “I know this is a bit unorthodox but could you hold onto my spare key for my apartment. If I lock myself out it would be very convenient with your place being next door.”

“And Miss Carter I wanted to talk to you about that date.” Tony said rather bluntly not giving Steve much of a chance to respond.

“About that Mister Stark…” Sharon said quickly turning around to face him, even with the almost batting of the dark brown eyes and innocent smile from Tony, she continued onward without a moment of hesitancy. “while I appreciate you catching me from the explosion of S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters, I have to decline you’re offer for a date.”

Tony’s face grew into an innocent pout, “But why?”

“You’re not my type Mister Stark.” She said with a shrug sliding her hands into her pockets.

Tony slid to her with an eerie grace as if he had done the move one too many times before, catching her right hand and pulling her to him as if he had done it one too many times before. “Aw but that’s not what you said that night.”

As quickly as Tony got her hand she removed it, sliding back from him with a grace of her own; and a grace of complete denial. “I said that you were a good dancer. That does not make you ‘my type’,” She said proceeding to do air quotes with her fingers before dropping her hands to her sides. “I’m sorry that it came across as misleading but, while I appreciate all you’ve done for me, the company and the world; I just don’t see you in that light.”

His reaction was classic Tony, all he could do was smile. “Well, it’s been my pleasure.” He said with a small bow to his head before starting towards the door. He stopped at the Captain looking down at the key, than back up to him, a small flicker of his eyebrow in a questioning motion before looking over his shoulder at Sharon shooting her another dashing smile, a smile that says ‘I will not take no for an answer.’, “If you ever need anything Miss Carter, you know where I’m at. Just knock.” And with that, he left the room ramming his shoulder into Steve’s, much like Steve had done nothing more than the day before.
The poor old man got dirty looks as he sat on the steps in front of the court house. That bothered Marian more than anything. She never understood the negativity towards polite homeless people; sure there were some that were aggressive and rude but then there were others like her donut friend who were rather polite and just shrugged off most of those people who were rude to them. If the world would just be a bit nicer to everyone than things could change but alas, that is not always the case.

“I see.” She said softly at his sad but less than detailed story about how he ended up homeless. Her lips wrapped around the lid of the coffee as she searched his face for more answered but the old cloaked man kept to himself more than anything. But he had a sense of happiness about him, something that she wouldn’t expect from someone in his situation. Always seeming to be on the brighter side of the dark side of things while his life seemed rather depressing and away from something she would consider ‘comfortable’, and for that all she could do was allow a small closed mouth smile to move across her full lips as she watched him with a sort of tenderness towards him.

The comment about the Merry Men made her giggle softly, as she finished her donut she tossed the little holding wrapper into the paper bag as she gave him a small shrug. “I’ve seen improvements in the city since they started to show up but that doesn’t mean the way they’re going about it is right… then again; well…” Her blue gaze scanned around before leaning towards him. “Quite a few of them kind of deserve it. But you didn’t hear that from me.” She said with a twinkle in her eyes and a cheeky smile across her full lips as leaned back against her right palm on the stairs before looking out over the lovely scenery in front of them; the hustle and bustle of traffic and cars and people… ah the city life.

“Though I will admit…” She began, feeling like she could trust the stranger/donut friend more than she’d be willing to admit anything to Allan. “If they ever catch Robin, I hope I’m in the room to hear his trail. I’d like to know what triggered his want to become a vigilante. How does he pick his targets? Is he really comfortable doing all of this? Or is it just for the thrill and danger of getting caught? Honestly I could see that being a reason. Girls like danger, and he’d really getting a lot of attention from the opposite sex and well…” Her face got a little soft as she bit on the corner of her bottom lip as she scanned the crowd in front of them, “it’s working…”
Nikki returned his smile with one of her own, a simple closed lip smile as she watched Quill walk out the door leaving her alone with her thoughts. It was surprising to see him being so nice to her. Especially after she was such a grouchy to him before; but if you were in her shoes could you blame her? No, no you can’t. If you were being hunted by people, trusting anyone was hard. Probably the only people that she could trust would be the police but then she’d have to do all those things that are supposed to come with her title of Princess, but The Guardians of the Galaxy were kind of police… but wouldn’t force her to play the royal role… at least she hoped not, if they found out that is.

It took a while for Nikki to gather up the courage to leave the room she had found and venture out into the unknown-yet-known people who are now the Guardians of the Galaxy. Taking her sword with her, she walked down the small hallway and into the kitchen/dining room area. The ship bounced with music and she found herself bobbing her head along much like she had done the first time that she had ever stepped foot on Quill’s ship. The large man sat at the table cleaning blades with a calm manner but still looked intense.

Nikki took a seat at the table, watching the large man for a moment before he finally looked at her. “May I use some of your cleaner and sharpener?” There was a simple gesture from large man set Nikki to work.

What Drax wasn’t expecting was just how man how many blades Nikki began to put upon the table. He had seen her sword and assumed she’d have one or two but by the end of her unloading she was at about twelve blades upon herself. His eyes expanded just slightly before going back to his own work. The surprise was just enough to make Nikki smile. Most people never thought she could have as much on her as she did but boy did she prove them wrong!
Lexi spent most of her time at the house watching TV, catching up on the news and making sure the house was clean; even though they didn’t really cause much of a mess. She knew a sit in her family’s hot tub while it was snowing would be romantic and cute. Something about being all warm in the falling snow and in Peter’s arms was enough to make her happy. Maybe she was easily pleased, or maybe she was really falling for Peter more than she had expected. Either way, she was just plain old happy.

Her phone beeped, indicating that it was getting close to the time that she and Peter had set to meet one another for a night of patrol before returning to her house and she slipped into her suit before springing from her bedroom window and off towards the downtown.

No one ever gets a chance to take in the beautiful view of the city like the two did. Since she was leaving her home early, Lexi took her time going around the city to the meeting spot. The sun had set and the city was becoming a blanket of white snow. Her suite was thicker which made the travels much nicer in the winter and she had intention on vesting in a lighter fabric for the summer. But for now, she was warm and very lucky!

As she was swinging among the city, her intense hearing caught something from a distance. Something sounded like a smashing noise and her body turned on instinct. If Peter was nearby, he’d most likely pick up on the sound as well… or…

The black suite landed on a nearby building overlooking the two as Black Cat realized that Spider-Man had met someone new and to say the least; he was a very interesting looking fellow. But the pulling out of a machete cause Black Cat to spring into action. Using her whips, she launched herself forward and upwards. Her long arms flicked forward, the whips launching her forward and in the air, she used one whip to grab ahold of the machete and the other to give her the momentum she needed to yank it from the man’s hand.

She succeeded flying across to the other side of the rooftop leaving the man-creature-thing stopping in mid charge in realization that his weapon was gone. “Making friends already Spidey?” She asked playfully, the smile appearing across her lips as she had left her mask up. As the whip returned back to her, she dropped the machete at her feet. “Someone’s wanting to play rough, what’s got you worked up sir?”
Sharon and Steve spent the night together talking, laughing and sharing stories once again. She still had the tingling feeling in the back of her head that she might end up boring Steve but he had quite a few questions that she could answer because of her history class and he was able to share stories from first hand experiences of what it was like to grow up when he did. The wine was delicious and after her third glass she really was feeling it, she laughed harder, smiled bigger and was a bit more playfully aggressive on her couch with the man she was falling for.

However, midnight soon hit her clock and with their schedules, they knew that they would have to be up early to get to Stark’s Towers. Of course, they spent quite some time saying ‘good bye’ at her door and she didn’t climb into bed until one in the morning, only to turn around and get up at five. Unlike every other morning, she woke up with very little sleep exceptionally happy! There was a pep to her step and a smile on her face; was she still tipsy? Nah, but her arm didn’t hurt and she had a good night with Steve before they parted so, yeah it was a good night and waking up was easy

Her morning return was rather steady and she couldn’t complain… except that she couldn’t spend time with Steve at work, that was something that she didn’t enjoy. But it was only smart for them to keep the situation between themselves; and themselves only.

Stark Towers roared over New York City, screaming about it’s personal power and just how, well ‘awesome’ it was. Yes, it would talk just like Tony would, considering he’s the engineer behind it. Walking up the stairs, she; like her other coworkers, stared up at the height of the skeptical that is Stark Towers. Though Sharon was far from as hypnotized as her coworkers were as she was one of the first to enter the building; only to have a voice ring through the building, “Sharon Carter, Agent 13; height Five foot Nine inches, blonde hair, blue eyes, expert gun shooting, technical knowledge and snipping skills. Access Granted. Miss Carter please proceed to floor forty three where your facilities await.”

“Facilities?” She repeated only really meant for herself as she stepped into the elevator.

“Yes, per instructions of Director Fury, the staff that was able to be saved from the explosions will be new residences at Stark Towers until such repairs are completed from the towers. An immeasurable amount of personal information has been compromise; safety in numbers Miss Carter.”

“Jarvis…” She asked softly, “Who is my room near?”

“Directly across from you Miss Carter is the room of Natasha Romanoff; to your right is Steve Rogers and to your left is Tony Stark.”

“Really!?” She asked in a state of shock as the elevator dinged at level forty three. “Please tell me the door locks from my end.”

“If it makes any difference Miss Carter, there is a lock; latch and chain bolt. Mister Stark wished it so that you wouldn’t be disturbed when he came to visit.”

“Fan-freaking-tastic.” She said sarcastically as she stepped off on the floor and followed the directions giving by Jarvis to find the door that has her name scribed gently along the wood, she opened the door to drop her purse on the ground in surprise. Her room was nicer than her apartment, the only thing that could have made it better was a door that lead into Steve’s room. Now… things were going to be a bit difficult to continue her relationship… it was a relationship right? Or something like that, with Steve in private. “Wow.” She said in shock as she stood in her doorway, to her right was two key rings, one of herself and one if she was possibly going to give it to someone else. But she was too distracted by the design of the room to really move from the open door.
Anyone else getting personal life punches to the face these past few weeks?
    -raises hand-
Apparently the innocent pity ‘please OH please’ face seemed to work on Aria as she agreed to come along. But the mention of not doing anything embarrassing caused Marian smirk slightly. “Well, you do have to wear a dress. Don’t know if you’d consider that embarrassing or not. But you also have to get him,” She pointed a finger at Allan, “in a suite. It’s a black tie affair even though it’s a masquerade theme.” At Allan’s comment about a good time with him being there, she couldn’t deny it. He may be an odd character with an interesting attitude but he was always a kick to be around and did make her laugh.

“Great, I’ll text you with the details Aria but it sounds like it’s going to be on Friday at Javits Convention Center. Don’t know the times just yet but apparently it’s going to be a big thing.” With that she nodded and pulled out her wallet. Since she needed to meet a ‘friend’, she didn’t have time to pay with her card so she put down two twenties and gave Aria a smile. “Keep the change.” Sliding out of the seat she gave them a wave. “Good bye guys, I’ll be in touch later today!” With that she left the dinner.

A stop to the nearby donut store left the blonde carrying a small bag of two donuts and two cups of coffee before climbing into her car and driving the rest of the way to her work. The parking precede wasn’t as full as she would have expected, but Marian had always been an early bird but if her father caught some of the homeless people hanging out in front of the courthouse, he’d shoo them away. Then there was Marian, who arrived to the only homeless person who was as crazy as her to rise so early in the morning. “Good morning friend.” She said with a smile as she sat next to the old man on the staircase to have their morning donut and coffee together.

Pulling from the bag, she handed him the chocolate covered delightful donut and took its twin for herself as she handed him the cup of coffee, “I brought the creamer and sugar, it’s at the bottom of the bag because I don’t know how you like your coffee made.” She said with a smile as she sipped her coffee from her disposable cup. “So…” She began softly as she pulled the cup from her lips, the rim now covered in her soft pink lipstick. “I was wondering, and you don’t have to answer it if you don’t want to but… how, how did you become homeless?”
