Was she... Actually having a good time with Robert? Robert Locksley of all people?! But as he took the foam finger and put it on his hand she couldn't help but grin largely. He really was one of those cases of "don't judge a book by its cover" had she known that under the arrogant, obnoxious, self-righteous exterior was this playful, fun loving, humorous, decent human being underneath. Or maybe he was the above before and getting knocked down really changed who he was. Either way she was enjoying her time now.

She followed suite slipping the foam finger on her hand and pointing in the same direction. "Charge!" With that they were off to collect beer, much needed accessory to the national pass time! Upon receiving their oversized beer containers full of the necessary liquid they proceeded to the stands which she followed Robert down the stairs to find their assigned seats.

It wasn't until they were shuffling through people muttering sorry as they did that she realized just what type of people were there. From where they could see (which were good seats and she was highly surprised) there were a lot of people from higher end of society present at the game. What if... Oh god what if Robin were to show up?! She could hear the lecture now, What were you thinking? What if he tried to get information from you? What if he found out that you were a Merry Men? I said go after Guy not Robert! What if he saw her on the TV? Her phone could blow up... If Guy or Edward saw her they could blow it up as well or---or...

"So I take it as you got my dad's okay to take me to the game right?" She asked with a cheeky grin on her face. "I mean you were supposed to let him know right? Or are we taking a walk on the wild side?" Her lips wrapped around the straw as she took a drink out of the oversized oddly shaped souvenir cup. He had mentioned to her that her dad wanted to know the next time they had a 'not date' and she was more curious then ever to see if he followed through with that. "Because if we're going to walk on the wild side we're going to have to lay low."
Would the pleading eyes actually work? He was the first person to visit her after being in the hospital for so long and for understandable reasons her father didn't show up to check up on her. Instead the only person to do so was non-other than the person she hadn't really expected. He should be so busy with all the important things that come with inheriting a billionare's lifestyle that worrying about possible friends shouldn't be on his priority list. But here he was, and agreeing for them to go out to dinner. Just a final hurrah for her before she made her choice. Oh she was going to miss him and his kindness... "Great." She said softly as she let go of his hand and slowly reached over to the pen and pad of paper. Eat to her bed. "Here's my address." With they she wrote down the address to her flat and handed it to him. "Don't be late." Was her teasing response as he took it from her. After a bit of light conversation he left and Abbie prepared to return home.

Ugh this night! Why did she ask him to do this!? Well she knew why but at the same time she needed and wanted this as well. Taking in a deep breath she checked her hair, her make up and her clothes; finally deciding on a white jacket top with a silver skirt and matching high heeled shoes. It felt nice to wear something long sleeved, it made her feel less ashamed that her arms were still in bandages. "Tonight, tonight you will have a good time out with a cute guy, than later tonight... Well it's not as fun but it has to be done." She said to herself in the mirror and nodding at her reflection. Before she hated herself, she wished to enjoy herself one last night.

6pm arrived and the blonde locked the door behind her and climbed into the elevator to press the down button. The cage roared to life and she decended downwards to wait for Dick to arrive to pick her up. Tonight, tonight Abbie Dent was going to enjoy herself because it will be her last night for who-knows how long.
Nikki’s tan fingers tapped against her bare forearms as she stared out into space awaiting the response from the conversation with Quill and the Nova. Being bound by the planets laws of marriage sucked but her choices were a fat short man she knew nothing about, a Terran who’s more inclined to remind her how much she hated being stuck in one place for a long time, or a half Terran half Spartoi whom seemed to enjoy doing a bit of good, a bit of bad and has changed a surprising amount since the first time they met. He didn’t seem to be as flirtatious as they were before but he seemed a bit… well more caring in a way.

Footsteps were heard from behind her and her head slowly turned; her chocolate brown gaze landing on the captain as he walked passed her and took a seat in his chair. As he spoke, her lips curled into a smile. Unlike most girls, she could appreciate a ‘jealous’ type of personality; being protective over something that you treasure isn’t a bad thing. But did he treasure her? Something told her that it was a high probability. “My choices weren’t that limited. I did have the option of a short fat alien from a planet I had never heard of but apparently wanted to take me for his wife. Out of the three, I know I made the right choice… even though I didn’t go about it in the conventional sense.”

When he turned his attention back to the stairs, she allowed her arms to fall to her sides feeling at ease once again. He would take her choice into account, that much she was sure of but when it comes to the law under the government that they had ‘married’ each other, she had to do what he said; unless he told her not to go to the councilors meetings, that he didn’t have much of a say in. It was hard to believe that situation she was in and who she was with. The Guardians of the Galaxy, thee Guardians of the Galaxy; the band of misfits causing issues for other bounty hunters around the galaxy, doing a bit of good and a bit of bad and surviving along the way. Now they were welcoming her as one of them. Gamora was not alone as a female, Groot had someone knew to teach his language to, Drax had someone to share war stories with, Rocket had someone to flirt with and Quill had… had—well Nikki, whatever that was.

Walking up behind him, she placed her hands gently now his shoulders and began to give him a massage, “Oh yes, those Novas are such braggers. Always talking about helmet wax and political non-sense; when you can talk about high flying adventures, damsels in distress and capturing one of the highest bounty prize out there while still delivering it to the mandatory meetings for the Galaxing leaders. Hm….” Her voice was filled with a playful joking tone as she leaned forward and whispered to him, “Must be hard to know what to do with all of that cool-ness.” With that she pulled back from his ear and continued to massage his shoulders.

    “So Captain, what’s next?”
Lexi was excited to join Peter in looking through the newspaper building, she had never been at it before; mostly because if reporters wanted to know anything they’d track her down. Especially when she was dealing with all the Spider-Man situations as a civilian, when she became a super hero however, people started to leave her alone and Spider-Man was seen less and less in public with Lexi Rogers. Honestly, she was enjoying spending time with Peter Parker as Lexi Rogers than Spider-Man spending time with Black Cat.

Her Uncle Matt was getting used to Peter Parker being around and even though she wasn’t listen in, she did make sure to sneak around the corner from time to time to make sure the conversation wasn’t something that she needed to step in about. This was the first man that her Uncle Matt had ever met and ever had time to talk to face to face. Her listening in was to make sure that the conversation stayed law related and not turned to the ‘you better treat her right’ lecture she was sure Uncle Matt would find the time to give. But he probably heard her coming every time she approached.

It didn’t take them long to get the office as she drove them. The office was complete chaos with people running back and forth, even Peter had to pull her out of the way. She couldn’t help but grin up at him, he was always looking out for her, always protecting her and always loving her as a true man should. Boy was she lucky.

The explosion of people threw her off and she attempted to respond to the receptionist before the door flew up on and the man stormed out. First ‘Paul’ was fired, then he was receiving a check then he was instructed to go talk to Joe. Her head jerked back in surprise and she shook it rather hard as she listened to Betty’s explanation and when she started to go on about the astronaut, she gave a laugh. “I think I’ve seen him once or twice but,” Her gaze moved to Peter as she gave his hand a small squeeze, “Astronauts aren’t my type; I kinda got a thing for photographers.” With that she gave him a wink before looking forward and giving the receptionist a wave good bye as they left.

“Such a lovely person…” She muttered in return giving some people a small nod as they walked. “But he is still a civilian no matter how much of a ‘lovely’ person he is. I don’t see any abnormal points of interest; should we check to make sure there’s not a basement entrance?”
“I appreciate what Bruce did. He was a rather good at helping out the people of the city. I remember him showing up to meetings about public awareness for drugs and crime. He would invest a lot of time in trying to help prevent crime on the streets and had Wayne Enterprises working on high security technology to help increase the town’s safety. If it wasn’t for him this town would be a lot worse off…” A smile moved across her face as she reached out a hand and placed it gently upon one of his that was holding the vase. “I see a lot of Bruce in you; you’re a wonderful person just like him and are just what this city needs.”

Isn’t it funny that she would say something like that to Dick but yet talk a lot of crap towards his alter-ego. “I think we’ll have to hold off on the pool until I get better. And I’m sorry for all the stuff you have to do. They’re supposed to let me out later this afternoon. Do you want to go out to dinner? I could use a happy night with a friend in comparison to what I’ve been dealing with lately.” Her hazel eyes were practically begging for him to say yes. She needed to go out, she needed to have fun just… just one more night before she committed to something she couldn’t turn back from.
With Abbie’s biceps in wraps and her body in one of those stupid dressing gowns, she felt like a fool and most likely looked like one. Problem something along the lines of a mental patient, who couldn’t take care of herself; and now she was stuck alone in a hospital….

Time went by and her phone lay dormant, no one would talk to her and even her father wouldn’t message her. He was probably fully aware that when she had recovered she would reach out to him. It wasn’t just him she would reach out to upon her release from hospital. A few things moved through her mind and her body shook slightly at the thought. It was a long shot but if it worked it could help end a lot of problems that the city has.

It was a good week before anyone showed up and to her surprise it was Dick; though she was sure she would never see him again because of his lack of communication with her. They had went from talking and texting almost every day to no communication for nearly three weeks. The blonde opened her sleepy eyes to see the nurse come in saying something about a visitor. Which was followed by a neatly dressed Dick Grayson in a suite with a blue tie and he even brought her flowers. A smile moved across her full lips as she looked up at him with her hazel eyes.

“Hi.” She said softly, sounding sleepier than anything else. She proceeded to pull herself up from her laying down position, wincing as she used to biceps but at the same time; she really didn’t want to be lying down anymore. “Little beat up but just really ready to go home.” Her small shoulders rose and fell with a shrug before she gave him a small smile. “Though you’d be guaranteed a victory in pool with my arms out of commission; suit looks good on you by the way but I think I enjoy seeing you in jeans and a t-shirt more. Seems more like your style.” She said with grin on her face, “Thank you for coming by, you’re the first visitor I’ve had since I arrived. I was bringing to think people didn’t care.”
This was a dream come true! She was at a YANKEES GAME! There was no doubt that the blonde jumping up and down was excited about something. The thrill of the oncoming game maybe? The joy of being in the crowded stadium with massive amounts of fellow fan or the fact that she was with a good looking guy for the adventure. Depending on what onlooker you asked, you'd most likely get one of the three answers.

The entrance into the stadium was like a dream come true for the starry-eyed blonde as she stared down at the lush green field with the white lines and perfect diamond squares, holy crap she was here!!! "Foam finger!" She announced with a tone of determination as she turned and started towards the selling booth. Oh this was too joyful for her. Her hands were out of her pockets and swinging freely to match the nearly skip in her step. Her father was always too busy with the force to take her to any of the games and when her mother was alive it wasn't something she was really excited to see but allowed it to be watched in the house. But that didn't matter to Marian anymore, she was here---finally here! Did she ever picture it would be with Robert though? No way.

At the front of the line she examined the display of foam fingers as if to pick out the perfect one. Not giving Robert the chance she pulled out her small wallet from her front pocket and requested two of the blue #1 fingers. "I got this, you got us in." She said with a grin as she handed the woman the money and presented him with his own foam finger. "We aren't truly at a game without a giant foam finger!" She said with way too much excitement that it seemed like she was going to explode with childlike joy from her womanly body. Can you blame her though? "Now off to find beer!" That, that was not so childlike but still as excited.
The smile on his face was surprising. It wasn't the cocky arrogant smile that would typically appear in his face when he would approach her. That 'I'm better than you and I know it' smile seemed to be replace with a playful and happy smile she wouldn't have guessed to see on Robert Locksley's face.

"Well, now I'm making it way too obviously that I have an emotionally attachment to the Yankees. It might not be the best idea to take me to a game. I could get rowdy and loud; maybe even obnoxious." Her head rolled to look over at him with a large smile on her face. "I should also warn you I have no intention on acting like a 'lady' today." Her arms rose up as she did quoted with her finger when she said lady. "This is a not-date which means I'm not out to impress you so it's a few beers, a couple hot dogs and a large amount of fries." She gave a heart filled laugh as she looked forward and stuck her hand out the window to feel the breeze. "Oh and I want a giant foam finger, I've never gotten one before!"

"Don't worry though." She said as they pulled into the stadium. "I'll save room for dinner." Poor Marian was like a kid pulling up to Toys-R-Us she was filled with so much excitement. Had she not buckled up and she'd probably climb out the window before he parked. "To be honest, this is my first time at the stadium." She said with a hint of awe in her voice; well, this was a hell of a 'not date'.

As soon as Robert turned the car off the blonde was out the door and standing in the parking lot staring up at the stadium with big blue eyes. Upon the door shutting and the car beeping locked she turned to see Robert approach her, without much warning she grabbing his hand and turned, "Come on!" Her voiced was filled with giggles and excitement as she rushed towards the entrance feeling her adrenaline pump from--- from the game right? Or was it from holding onto Robert's hand and yanking him along as they weaved through cars. Upon their arrival at the booth she dropped his hand and slid hers into the pockets of her shorts lightly bouncing up and down; she was excited can you tell?
This was not Abbie’s day, well not even her week considering how long she had been in the Electrocutioner’s ‘care’. But as she stood there, pretending to be held against her will, her whole body jumped when the sparks flew from the hero’s weapon. Oooohhh shit what did she just get herself into?? Her dad could flip on a dime without any warning or actions. She had seen that now, but the more she sobbed out of fear and pain, the more he seemed to claim down. Did Nightwing have intention on hurting her? I mean, she wasn’t the nicest to him but boy that could end badly for both of them.

That was until Two-Face agreed to let them go and she was slowly released. Sobbing gently she hurried from Nightwing to her father who checked her intensely. “Are you alright?”, “Yes dad.”, “Did he hurt you?”, “I’m fine, I just want to go…” She said softly to her father as she shook her head, brushing some tears from her cheeks. As the two started towards the exit she gave a small glance over her shoulder to check on the hero. He probably still didn’t trust her but at least she got some people safe by playing to her father’s love for his child.

They climbed into the back of a limo only to have her father embrace her once again, the softness of his voice reflected that of the man she had once called her father. Yet, now as she sat in the car, she wasn’t so sure. Her gaze looked down at the injures on her arms, they were bad and the blonde was getting light headed and spinning. Soon her motions reflected that as she started to rock back and forth in her seat. “Dad… I feel…”, “Hang in there pumpkin we’ll get you to the hospital.”

The drop off was quick and the blonde walked her wooze-self down the road and to the emergency hospital wing, her dad was rather brief but he wanted to make sure the police would stop looking for her. She made it to the entrance of the hospital and got the attention of a nurse before nearly falling over onto the cement. She awoke what was several hours later, her arms wrapped and high on morphine. Her cellphone was given to her which was surprising, and she was questioned by police which felt like it took hours then she was out again. When she finally awoke it was mid-afternoon, she pulled out her phone and texted Dick a simple message.

Hey, not dodging you, had some problems but I’m safe and in the hospital. The smell is horrible though. Lol
As Marian waited she checked her hair, straight as an arrow even with the Yankees baseball cap on her head and her makeup, simple but sparkly. Why was she taking so much time to take care of herself when she wasn't even sure what this was; well it was a "not date" right? Which is just two people who are learning to tolerate each other are going out on some form of event. In this case it was a Yankee's game.

Her phone echoed in her house and she dashed to it, pulling it up from the table with anticipation that Robert might be canceling on her. Her heart was still due to the thought of him canceling on her... Was that... That a bad thing? The text was from Guy Gibson asking what she was doing in the evening. She responded with she had plans and left it at that as she shoved her phone into the pocket of her jean short shorts. Now he was suddenly giving her attention. She mentally rolled her eyes at the though. He was a nice guy; cuter and older than her and charming and handsome, and intelligent but... Well, Robert...

Her mind was cut off in thought as the knock came on the door. She went to the door but stood at it, staring at the oak for a moment as if contemplating whether she was going to open the door or not. Her hand reached out before she jerked it back; was this a good idea... Of course it was! And as much as she didn't want to admit it, it was good for more than just the reason of figuring out what's he knows about Robin Hood; but she'd have to be stealthy, Locksley was smart.

There was an extensive moment of silence between the two, simply because she didn’t expect him to look as good as he did outside of a suit. She swallowed slightly and felt her face turn red at his comment about how she looked and she broke her gaze from him. Staring at the floor she waited for him to say something else and when he did she looked back up at him with her intense blue eyes. Her lips curled into a smile before he looked towards his ride then to him. “Shame.” She said playfully at him, “I was expecting the heel-toe express or a tandem bike and here you come in a car, a BMW no less. Tisk-tisk.” She shook her head at him before giving him a cheeky grin.

She followed him to the car after locking her door and was surprised to see him holding her door open for her. “Oh well, thank you.” She said in a sincere tone before climbing into the car and settling into the seat buckling herself up. When he got in she turned her attention to him with a grin, “Did you just happen to get lucky or did you know I was a fan of the Yankees? On a ‘not date’ knowing I’m a fan would say you did your research and actually paid attention, which would be weird you know…” She said playfully as she propped her elbow up on the window, small talk never hurt right?
