Would love to run with the Bacholar idea if anyone else is interested?
His face! Oh god his FACE! Marian was practically snorting she was laughing so hard as he chewed on the god-awful mixture that was the beer and popcorn. She had found herself almost half way off of her chair and nearly crying by the time he had finished his last handful of the horrible mess. Slowing down her laughter she caught her breathe and climbed back into her chair. Wiping the tears from her eyes she let out a long sigh of relief and held her stomach for a moment before looking over at him with her sparkling blue eyes.

“I’m sorry but the look on your face was priceless. Much like what you did to me at the bar!” Taking in a few deep breathes she was about to answer Robert back when the Yankees caught a pop fly ball with an impressive dive-catch from the outfielder. Marian was on her feet screaming and waving her foam finger in support of the team. “Good catch!!!” She felt more excited and alive then she did watching the game at home and screaming at her TV. What an experience this was! And she had Robert Locksley to thank for this.

She fell back into her seat with a small thump, a bright smile across her full glossy pink lips as she tugged on her baseball cap to make sure it was in place before looking over at Robert. “I’ll take a truth.” She said with a nod.
This is just an average night for most people. Not everyone spent their time bartering on a rooftop with the two super heroes about how one can help save the town. Her eyebrows rose in the direction of Nightwing when he said that she would have to go by their terms. His listing caused her to nod. The one thing he said that worried her was ‘no killing anyone’; her face flinched slightly. The thought of killing someone sent an uneasy feeling through her body and she didn’t want to do that. Plus, with her stance it never occurred to her that she would be required to do that dirty work. But when it really came down to it – “I can agree to those terms.”

“Training?” Both Abbie and Barbara said the same time.

“Tim you have to be joking. You can’t honestly bring her to the Bat-Cave for training.”

“Yes training. You need to defend yourself in the big leagues.” Robin said speaking over the voice in his ear to Abbie.

“I can defend myself pretty well but I can’t deny that I’m not completely sure what I’m getting myself into. Training would probably be a good thing for me.” She said with a nod before turning her attention to Nightwing. “I’ll follow your terms.” Wow, so this is how it’s going to be. Her body shivered slightly thinking about how hard her life was going to be making this choice but… it was the best choice she could do.

Honey I understand being busy trust me!

I appreciate the updates though I really do!
    Nah I can wait!

I'd like to make a suggestion that helped me role play during my busy times.
I'd write parts of posts either in a word document on my phone or on a piece of paper than transfer it to my email and from there build responses during my free time.

Not sure if that could be a helpful tid-bit for you but it worked well for me!

Well, who would have thought that the two of them would have such a good time together? Cheering at a Yankee’s game in good seats with beer, foam fingers and laughter. This wasn’t bad to say the least. His acceptance of a dare made her raise her eyebrow at him. “Bold move Locksley, I don’t know if you’ll regret it or not.” She said playfully as she began to look around for inspiration on a dare.

Then… she saw it. “Over here!” She waved to the concession boy who was walking around with the warm beer and popcorn. Upon his arrival she got a beer and a bag of popcorn and paid for it. Then, with one in one hand and the other holding the popcorn she looked Robert dead in the face and dumped the beer over the popcorn, the bubbled formed towards the top of the bag before Marian placed the cup down and held the top closed with her hand. She gave it a few vicious shakes before placing the paper bag in his lap.

“ Eat two handfuls. Yes not just one; but two handfuls of soggy beer covered overly salted popcorn.”
Never did Abbie expect to be in this type of situation. Her father always came across as a good man just working hard and taking care of his daughter. Now she was introduced to him in a whole new light and… well it was terrifying. As a photographer for the paper she knew exactly what went on in the city and was exposed to the aftermath of shootouts, robberies, drug exchanges and the likes. Now she was in the middle of it with the one person she would have never expected.

Now she had to wait while the bat-boys debated between themselves. Her hands ran gently along her arms; thank god Dick didn’t touch her there tonight or she probably would have yelled in pain. That bastard shocking her so badly; it’s even more surprising to see Nightwing on his feet after the encounter. Though, it was funny… as her eyes feel on Nightwing she realized why they had been so aggressive to follow her. The limo must have been owned by her father, the night with the Penguin and the warehouse... they knew. They knew and they didn’t tell her…

When they turned to her and Robin asked her the question she straightened up her stance and pulled her hands from her biceps allowing them to dangle freely at her sides. “Well, I can understand your lack of trust with me due to who I am but I thought you could shadow me later on tonight. I’m meeting with the Penguin face to face down by the docks to show him who exactly he’d be dealing with and the deal for arms is supposed to go down tomorrow night at a different location; but I’m not sure where yet. My father has this idea of getting my face out there so people know who exactly they’re dealing with and who’s going to take over.”

“Please…” She said softly as she stared down the two men. “Understand that I’m in both an optimizing position and a difficult position. I have access to all the crime dealers where in the city and can learn the whereabouts of their hideouts. I’d like to take them out one by one but leave my dad for last until I have the preparations for my escape from his wrath. I feel as though, no matter how much he thinks of me as his daughter, if he found out I was the one ratting him out; he wouldn’t hesitate to kill me. However, if I meet either one of you face to face outside of private meetings I’m not holding back. I will fight you, I will threaten to kill you and I will be vicious. I don’t expect special treatment and I do expect a fight and to get hurt. The minute you don’t hold back a punch someone’s going to expect something. If you have the chance to use me as a bargaining tool to make your escape, you have to take it. The last person anyone in the underbelly wants to mess with is my father. If he found out, while with them, that I was taken hostage and they didn’t give what you wanted, he’d kill them without thinking twice.”

She nodded firmly to them in an attempt to make it clear she wasn’t joking before crossing her arms. “Well?”
Abbie had crossed her arms staring down Robin, she couldn’t believe she was doing this. Her heart was racing, her head was pounding but she had to remain calm.

“Tim, turn on your scanner under your mask.” Barbara said into the earpiece which Robin followed directions.

“I don’t have anything on me, but scan me if you want.” Abbie said sounding annoyed with the formalities.

“We can’t be too careful Miss Dent, especially with…”

“Who my father is, I get it.” Her voice sounded irritated but her crossed arms and swaying feet said she was sad.

“Tim, she doesn’t have anything on her, not even a bracelet or earring that could hide a listening device. And the only thing within a five mile radios is a cat about two miles east. Well that and Dick on his bike…”

That’s when Nightwing arrived and Abbie turned her hazel-green gaze to him. Her lips pushed together has he spoke. Letting go of her lips she spoke to him, “It’s still tender; looks like you’re back on your feet though. That’s good to see Nightwing.” Yes she used his name, no insults, no bickering, no rude comments; she used his name.

“We need to talk about the situation at hand.” She took a deep breath before continuing. “I know you don’t have any reason to trust me but I’m now in a place where I can finally help. With my father being…” Her voice cracked slightly, her attention moved to her feet. Nothing was more obvious than she was in pain; pain from finding out who her dad actually was. “who he is means that I have an insight into the underbelly of Gotham. This means I can help.” Her gaze moved back up to the two heroes. “There’s a lot happening, and some big things are going to go down. Now I’m in the middle of it. My father wants me to help, learn to take over the family business and… I can’t, I have… Someone---” Her drug out a bit before taking in a deep breath and letting it out to calm herself down. “I care about and I don’t want him to get hurt.”

“I have some ideas and would like to prove to you that I’m on your side.” She locked eyes with Nightwing, knowing full well that he was the one most likely to make the decision and she found herself holding her breath in anticipation.
