    Biography

The young grew up knowing that he wanted to be involved in the Pokemon World but always found a passion for hatching and raising Pokemon. It wasn’t until he meant an individual by the name of Blanche during his youthful years in school that he could be something other than that weird kid that carried around eggs. After his friendship with Blanche he met Candela in a weird experience on the playground of kids telling him he would be nothing growing up. That’s when the girl came in and… well kicked their butts. Soon the three of them became friends and Blanche introduced them to Professor Willow. Between the three hitting it off and Professor enjoying seeing Blanche’s new friends; they began to train together growing their skills and personalities as trainers.

It wasn’t long before the three were offered prospective jobs. Professor Willow wished for them to be in charge of helping trainers learn the ways of the world and guide them to success. It was no surprise that Blanche and Candela were up to the task and Spark found himself wondering… why me?

“Professor,” He asked, waving the salt and pepper haired man over. “Professor, I don’t know if I can do this. I mean, I’m just a goof off.”

“No,” Professor Willow informed him placing his hand on Young Spark’s shoulder. “You trust your instinct and that takes talent, drive and determination to never waiver from that. This is perfect for you.”

That was three years ago that Spark took up the task placed in front of him and the three were required to track down the best prize of all, the legendary birds before they could claim their positions as team leaders and trainer assistants.

Can Spark catch the legendary bird? Does he have what it takes to be a team leader? Can he really help trainers who are having difficulty with their Pokemon and getting through the gyms?

An Unhatched Egg in a Backpack
“But Professor, I’m just a goof-off…”, “No, you trust your instinct and that take talent, drive and determination to never waive from that. This is perfect for you.” The words of Professor Willow rang through the young blonde’s head as he strolled down the pathway nearing the exit of the Virdian Forest. It had been three years since he was given the task to capture the Legendary bird Zapdos and gain his position as a leader to up-coming trainers. Neither one of the other leader’s in training (if you will) had succeeded in capturing their own legendary birds but… well Spark himself didn’t know where to start.

Then again, when you go on out for your first time as a Pokemon Trainer, you were never really handed an instruction guide on how to do so. Just a pokedex and your first pokemon; even though he had been a trainer for a while, it was weird to get thrown back into the same seat once again.

A long sigh left the blonde as he worked his way through the forest. “Pika-Pee.” Beside him was his starter pokemon and longtime friend, Pikachu.

“Oh yeah, I got some food.” Spark’s voice echoed through the forest as he stopped walking and crotched down. Pulling his backpack from his back he set it on the ground and opened it with a gentle motion. Inside sat a warm egg which he gentle patted. After giving the un-hatched egg a bit of attention he reached into a side pocket and pulled out a pokemon’s snack bar. “Here you go buddy.” He said with a grin as he pulled apart the packaging and handed it to the Pikachu.

“Pikachu!” The pokemon said excitedly as his little hands grabbed the treat and his head nuzzled against Spark’s hand as a thank you. Soon the two were back on the road again, the young man’s hands laced together behind his head and the pokemon munching away on a snack.

“Beautiful day.” He said as he looked up at the sky with his bright blue eyes. Inside of him, he could feel what could be best described as a pull. Somewhere in Pewter City, someone had information on where he could find the hiding place of his legendary bird… or maybe it was something else pulling him there. Who knows but he was following his instinct and hiking to Pewter City.

    Name: Lilianna Vanderbelt

    Age: 16

    Appearance:

Personality: Lily is overly talkative to the point that she really dislikes silence. Maybe it's because she's never found someone she's so comfortable to be around that the silence didn't frighten her. Some call her annoying while others love her friendly fun personality. Fiercely loyal and incredibly gentle, she is also a passionate learner and loves to learn things from people rather than going out and learning on her own. It is not as interesting nor as fun. Because she seeks knowledge from others, she learns a lot and has a vast amount of knowledge (though some of it is completely useless) but she's not a fan of allowing people to know how intelligent she is, so she plays the 'dumb blonde' card as much as possible.

Mini Biography: Growing up in Lavender town as nice but having your father as a Mayor wasn't exactly the best experience a child could ask for. Her father was always doing business and her mother found little time for her as she was having affairs with some of the local men in town. While this never hinders her social personality, it did cause intense silence in her household; which would explain her hatred for silence.

Growing up on a farm was fun, despite the fact that she was often alone. She found her love for helping Pokemon because of it and used her knowledge for them to treat a poor untrusting Ponyta. After many burns and a few kicks to the body, the Ponyta finally allowed Lily to treat her injuries and the two have been close ever since.

Her parents pushed her into becoming a nurse, a human nurse and began distancing her for the other Pokemon around except for the Ponyta. But the time she hit sixteen she was very well trained in the art of human medicine but that didn't stop her passion for the creatures! When she turned sixteen she packed up her belongings and announced through the silence that she was leaving to become a Pokemon trainer. Her parents response was nothing more than a matter of "That's nice dear." And she left.

She picked up her starter Pokemon and went through a good amount of gyms, raising and training most of the Pokemon she caught. Her goal was never to catch them all, her goal was to create a team and a family that she loved and they loved her back. Something more than she had at home. Now, three years into her adventure she held a good amount of badges, did odd jobs for people to earn extra money, and battles unsuspecting people who think they can beat the adorable clueless blonde.

Team of 6 she brings to the tournament:
Squirtle – Her starter Pokémon. (close to evolving but not quite there).
    Cubone – Her first catch.
Nidorina – Rescued her as a Nidoran Female from drowning and the two have been close ever sense. Lily is really looking forward to Nidorina’s final evolution.
Ponyta – Growing up on a farm you just, well you had a Ponyta and traveling was no different. Ponyta is not only an excellent horse but she is show trained as well.
Jolteon – Her first evolution. Lily received a lot of slack for not leaving it as an Eevee but little do most know, she actually has all the evolve forms including her ‘battle ready’ Eevee.
Gastly – Her most difficult catch. She has a high amount of respect for this Pokémon because he put up quite a battle in order to become party of her team and now that he is she treasures him dearly. (most likely the next to evolve).
A tournament is held for trainers with 3 or less badges, winner gets [insert prize here]. Our characters meet at a lunch for the entered trainers. They hit it off and go to catch more Pokemon together and defeat the final gyms.
So we'd have a mix of battling other pokemon (possibly each other if we face each other in the tournament), traveling, catching than fighting the gyms.
    Stuff -
    - For the tournament, 3 Pokémon each? (This is because the trainers at this tournament are not expected to have six battle-ready Pokémon. Plus, six on six battles take forever.)

    - No withdrawing a Pokémon in the middle of a fight, unless it is knocked out. Otherwise, it is considered to be unable to continue battling. (It's okay to make a strategic switch after your opponent replaces a knocked out one, provided you do so immediately. Once the Pokémon begin to battle again, they have to stay out until one of them is knocked out.)

    - If a Pokémon cannot learn a move in the games/anime/manga, it cannot use it in this roleplay. (Use This Wiki to look up a Pokémon if you have any doubts about what it can use.)

    - Adhere strictly to the defined strengths and weaknesses each type has. Again, the Wiki I listed above can help if you're uncertain. I forget what types certain Pokémon are good and bad against all the time! (For instance, if a pure fire type gets hit in the face by a powerful water type move, it better have a damn good reason to stay standing.)

“Lilianna Vanderbelt checking in.” A perky blonde said, pulling her bag up on her shoulder with a smile to the person behind the counter. The hotel was a large 8 story building and it was no surprise it was reserved for all the trainers coming to participate in the event. Lilianna herself wasn’t the best trainer but she was getting better! That being said, since she wasn’t a well-known trainer she had to pay a pretty penny to get into the competition. But for her, it was something she wanted to do.

Upon arriving to her room she let out her six traveling pokemon from their balls. “Alright everyone stretch her legs…” Gastly gave her a funny look sticking his tongue out and floating to her, as if to remind her that he didn’t have legs. “Or floating mass of… stuff.” A laugh left her as she pushed Gastly away from her, just in time to dodge his sneaky licking attempt. Cubone seemed to be fascinated with the room, gently tapping things with his bone. Ponyta had already made herself comfortable on the second bed in the room with Squirtle who seemed to fall gracefully onto the bed and Jolteon seemed to be following Cubone around to insure he was not going to damage anything. She could always count on her Jolteon for acting like a parental figure when she wasn’t around.

As she went to the door to leave, she felt a tug on the jean pants. Green gaze turning downwards, she saw her dear Nidorina pulling on her pant leg, “Oh little girl.” She said with a smile across her full lips showing her straight white teeth. She scooped up the Nidorina into her arms with a practiced move as she nuzzled her face against her pokemon’s. “Alright, you can come too. Just don’t leave my side.” Her little Nidorina let out a little squeal of approval and she stepped outside shutting the door behind her.

The picnic was HUGE and the blonde couldn’t help but giggle with excitement as she took off running onto the festivities. Nidorina stuck close to her side keeping up with her fast trainer. “Ooooo!” Lily pulled herself to a stop in front of one of the tables filled with food. She picked up two plates and began to make one for herself and one for her Nidorina who was hugging her side closely. The blonde pulled a strap of her brown tank top back onto her shoulder before becoming shoulder to shoulder with a young man with messy white hair. “Can you hand me that scooper?” She said pointing towards the large serving spoon.
