“DESMOND!” She screamed over the cheers as she gripped the rails ready to leap over them and cause herself a disqualification for being on the field. When he stood up and had pause she held her breath. Oh he had to be mad at her. Her face crunched into one of sadness. She thought she had made a friend and she almost hurt him… almost killed him! Ooohhhh he was going to hate her after this, and never speak to her again.

Ponyta’s legs wobbled feeling the energy drained from her body from her last attack and the sudden appearance of Ivysaur left them both surprised. The issue of the attack left the blonde haired girl reaching for her pokeball. “Ponyta Return!” The blonde screamed as the beam shot out and captured the withering and shaking Ponyta, returning it to its ball.

A long sigh left the blonde as her head hung. She looked down at the ball and held it to her chest. “Good job my little girl. You did great. But you’re tired and I will not let you fall fainted if I can prevent it.” She gave the ball a gentle kiss in gratitude before putting the ball on the ‘used’ stance.

However the razor leafs, shot with force continued their path taking the next best target they could. “Whoa!” Lily cried at the blades hit the stand she was on. While the stand was sturdy and handled the leaves well, the ones that got caught in the updraft made their way to her. Her arms rose up, covering and protecting her face as they flew towards her. Unlike her stand, her skin and her clothes didn’t handle the impact of the leaves.

By the time the leaves were gone she was covered in cuts, her shirt ripped and her arms covered in scratches. She hissed softly as she lowered her arms from her face and noticed the cuts. “Hey Desmond. I think our pokemon know how to dodge but… we really need to work on that as people.” She shouted to him in hopes to brighten the mood considering the situation. Plus she still wanted to travel together and be friends but she… well she needed to take more things into account when battling.

Her hand reached down bouncing between the two balls in front of her. She didn’t have another pokemon that could go well against the grass type. Her face cringed as she picked a ball and threw it. “Come on Squirtle, let’s do this.”

“Lilianna has chosen her start, Squirtle. Desmond is at an advantage since his starter is on its second form and water isn’t all that effective against Grass, this should be interesting.”

“Squirtle, use tackle!” She called out, only to have her Squirtle reach his arms up into the air and stretch.

“Squirt…” He muttered, stretching and rubbing his eyes. A large yawn left his small face as waved to the crowd, finding much more fun in being cheered by a crowd then paying attention to his trainer.

“Squirtle come on!” She called out. He turned his head to look at her and snuffed her off. “Please Squirtle, I can’t figure out why we don’t get along and you won’t tell me. Come on! This is a battle, you love doing this, the people are cheering for you! Use tackle!”

This time the little water pokemon looked at the crowd, taking in everyone cheering and letting out a satisfied sigh. The blonde beamed, maybe he would listen to her. Instead he leaned back and opened its mouth, letting out a large stream of water as a water gun shot.
Her question didn’t surprise him as he gathered up some food on his plate. Why would the angels need to experience the emotions the humans do? Why would that matter? However it mattered for demons. How else would the devil be able to remain in control if he didn’t have something he could keep with them? “We feel everything.” He explained as he continued to plate himself some food and walk down the line.

“We feel pain, we feel hunger, we feel starvation, we feel stress, worry and anger.” He stabbed a fork deeply into the a piece of meat before putting it on his plate. “But…” His deep eyes flicked back to her, a fire underneath them. “We also experience intensity,” He took a small step towards her, “Warmth.” His free hand reached out and tucked the loose strained of hair behind her ear. “Passion…” Dragging out the word he pulled his hand away from her and picked up a glass of red wine at the end of the table and turned.

“Enlighten me Sky.” He said as he led the way to the veranda outside where there was some seating. “What do Angels feel?”

bahahahaha you just love to put him in these situations don't you!
    DON'T YOU!
“Sometimes I’m sure I did leave my head back in my apartment. Depends on the day but that doesn’t mean it still doesn’t happen.” He said with a cheeky playful grin as he gazed up at her. She was back, this wasn’t a dream and they shared a meaningful and longing kiss.

It felt as though she was pleading for him to join her in the bedroom and a small cough left him. Wow she was bit direct but not at the same time. This was surprising. However he was far from going to argue with her. A smile moved across his face as her kiss lingered a bit longer on his forehead. Once she pulled back from his head he turned to look up at her. “Well I couldn’t possibly say no after that.” His voice was soft and almost tender as he rose slowly to his feet.

Feeling a lot braver than he did in the past, he didn’t give her a moment to think about it; he scooped her up bridal style into his arms and carried her with ease to her bedroom. “Boy you’re heavy…..” He playfully muttered, his voice filled with a playful tone as he pushed the door open and began to stumble. “Oh no… oh no… you’re too heavy… I can’t…. hold on!” At that he ‘fell’ onto the bed, his body spinning to land her down and caught himself from landing on her.

Gray shook his head, “Boy that was scary.” He said, his tongue-in-cheek attitude shining through as his deep brown eyes sparkled down at her. “Who would have thought you’d have me falling for you?” He gently rolled off of her and stayed on his side. Reaching a hand up, he gently brushed her face with his hand before leaning forward and resting his forehead on her shoulder, a long content sigh leaving him as he did so before he closed the gap between them and rested his body against hers. He gave her shoulder a soft kiss before looking back up at her. “Still scared?” He asked playfully, his eyes twinkling at her.
“Sure thing!” The old man said with a chuckle in his voice as he began to work the knives together.

The show played on in front of them and soon the two were laughing and enjoying the show as many of the other patrons. During the show, James’s hand reached over and took Freya’s once again. He had been so nervous that she would say no that her being here with him really meant a lot. He could feel himself relax and be able to be himself around her. Which was a new experience considering how long he’s worked for the family and always been the ‘butler’. Did he ever think he would be able to be himself with the family he worked for? No. Did he ever think he’d be going to school for his passion while taking care of the daughter of the family he worked for? Nope. Did he ever think he would get the chance to go on a date with the woman of his dreams and be himself? No way! But here they were.

Soon their food was finished and Mister Yan bowed his good bye and left the two to eat. Taking up his plate he unfolded his napkin and placed it on his lap. Despite his casual domineer when he was with her, his manners never changed. “The passion and enjoyment that Mister Yan has for his craft was inspiring for me and I have always want to have that passion in my life. So I gave cooking a try and one day Mister Yan let me go behind the grill and it has been something I have loved ever since. I… I am glad I got to share this with you…” He said, his voice filled with some shyness as his cheeks turned a small shade of pink. It was still a new concept for him to be so open with someone. But if it was going to be with anyone, he’d rather it be with her.
When she mentioned that she would chip in he grabbed his bag from the storage area over his head and waved his hand. “Nah, you can just pay me back some other time.” He said with a nod as he led the way off the train. His body shifted through the crowd with ease and understanding of how the massive groups worked. Despite his quickness, he did make sure to glance over his shoulder every once and a while to insure that the newbie was keeping up with him. She didn’t know what it took to be a guild wizard just yet but she chose Fairy Tail and he had no intention on living her high and dry.

The chatter on the streets wasn’t very comforting. Apparently the groups of thugs stealing things were making threats. Some sentences that could be heard from the passersby was ‘I heard that if you were a bounty wizard or a guild wizard they’d target you for more than just theft in fear of you catching them.’ And ‘I heard they have eyes and ears all over town. People working for the gang just to keep themselves off their radar for theft and worse.’ Those words rang in his ears, if they stood out it would be a problem. Soon he fell back into step with Kit instead of being a couple paces in front of her. Safety in numbers.

After meeting with the client about the necklace and getting a warning of ‘these are bad guys’ and blah blah blah, nothing new, they went on their search for a place to stay the night before their hunt began tomorrow morning.

“The only hotel in town with reservations still is…” Gray’s gaze turned upwards at the cheap looking motel, oh well he had been in worse. A shrug rose and fell his shoulder as the two ventured inside, before arriving to the desk he overheard the desk clerk on the phone.

“Yes, we have one room left… yeah the festival tomorrow is drawing in a lot of people… yeah I hope everything goes smoothly too… oh a couple just walked in. I’ll call you back.” After the clerk hung up the two were greeted with a pleasant smile.

Thinking on his feet, the midnight blue haired man reached out with his free hand and grabbed Kit by her waist, instantly pulling her to his side. “1 room for 2 please.” He said brightly, a cheesy grin on his face.

“Aren’t you two adorable!” The clerk said as he clicked away on the computer. “And lucky too, our last room is our king suite were most love bird’s stay.” At that Gray dropped his bag on the counter and fished out his wallet. He did everything with one hand keeping a good grip on Kit in hopes she’d play along or at least keep her from squirming away and blowing his cover. He paid for the room without giving it a second thought and threw the receipt back into his bag.

He led the way down the hall before stopping and looking over his shoulder. “Oh can you drop by an extra blanket. My girl gets cold at night but she’s always too shy to ask for it.” The clerk, beaming at Gray, nods to indicate that he would bring a blanket before the two disappear down the hallway.

Gray did not let up on her until they were inside the room and the door was shut. “Sorry about that. The conversations on the street weren’t exactly comforting so it seemed like a better idea to give off the impression that we were a couple than partners. And don’t worry, I’ll sleep on the floor you can have the bed.” He said as he dropped his bag on the end table and sat down on the corner of the bed pulling out the information they had gathered from the client and a town map. He spread out the map on the bed and looked up at her. “Where do you think we should start?”
Poor girl had been through a lot, and while the blonde walked with his fingers laced behind his head, he kept an eye on her. She seemed to be a bit more stressed then she was letting on and his instinct told him to keep an eye no her. It didn’t take long before she admitted what had happened. And her expression showed discomfort as she seemed to be reliving her experience.

“Well that sucks you had to go through that.” He began with a nod, his blue gaze turning forward finally, “But you have someone who wants to protect you, that much is obvious.” His mention of the protective pokemon in his arms made his Pikachu perk up. “Yeah yeah.” He said giving the pokemon a gentle push with his foot. “And it’s obvious that you want to protect your pokemon as well or you wouldn’t be in a panic to get to a pokecenter. That is a good quality.”

“Pika!” The Pikachu said with a nod of his little head as they arrive to the exit of the forest. “It’s just up this road.” Spark said with confidence. “Did you know that the group you probably ran into was most likely collecting food for the Beedrills that are about to be born? When the beedrills hatch they are typically starving and in the wild, the already hatched beedrills will collect food and bring it back to the soon to hatch ones; they cannot really fend for themselves since they will be so weak at the hatching stage. That’s most likely why you were attacked because the Kakunas are about to hatch and they cannot defend themselves because of their state.”

“Oops…” He said innocently as he ran a large hand through his blonde hair in embarrassment. “Sorry… that doesn’t justify their actions towards you though…” There he goes again… talking without thinking. Poor guy’s a bit of a space-case.
