Lexi didn’t show much expression when he opened the door, her head mixed with feelings of the situation. Anger for not knowing, understanding for why she couldn’t know, annoyance that he would play her with the whole Spider-Man thing, letting her kiss him and face him the next day without even a mention; no hint, nothing. Happiness that he would want to fight for justice like she would always want him to do; annoyance that he would allow himself to get beat up on a regular basis at school when he had the power to defend himself and others. Pinning someone would have been enough to get the point across because sometimes violence isn’t needed, and he could have easily done that instead of walking around with a busted eye and fat lip all day.

As he began to ramble she held up her hand to cut him off and walked inside. Kicking off her shoes like normal she sat down on the couch and placed her small purse on the coffee table. “I’m fine, a bit banged up but I’m fine. I understand why you had to leave Peter, and if you had tried to stay I would have pushed you away. It’s not safe for anyone to know and I did a lot of thinking last night.”

She took in a deep breath and began. Her head hung slightly obviously beginning with the difficult stuff. “I felt a bit betrayed last night, in finding out. After the moment on the roof was the time you should have told me. After we kissed, you should have told me. It started a lot of conflict in myself when that happened, not only did that happen once but we then made out and you kissed me before leaving after saving me from the muggers. I had such… such conflicts after that night.” She let out a small sigh and explained to him what happened after he left with Rick, unaware that he already knew. “I had made a choice last night, I was going to come clean and tell you everything that had happened because, I knew that that I liked you more than I liked Spider-Man. I… I had made a choice to tell you how I felt about you and then everything happened.”

Letting out another small sigh she finally looked up at him. “I respect Spider-Man and what he does for the city; but…” Her eyes watered slightly, “I love you Peter. You for you, with or without Spider-Man, I love you.” She nodded, before wiping some water away from the tear ducks of her deep blue eyes then ran her hand through her long black hair that was down. “I would say I’d be worried about you going out and fighting crime, but after seeing you handle yourself against Rick, I think I’d be more worried about the people you’re going after then you.” A smile curled the corner of her full lips soft pink lips. “Your secret’s safe with me Peter, I’ll take it to my grave and even God won’t get it out of me. Just… just tell me how it happened. That’s all I want to know.”
    -laughs-
Dude I have done that before!
    -noddles-
I understand and I was just going 'huh?'.
    -laughs-
You do realize my character only said two sentences to you right? "That's the point" and "Good bye".
Nothing else was actually spoken to him, it was a description of the way her body looked.
Lexi really didn’t have time to say anything to him other than nodding in agreement before she turned to see the crowd coming around the corner. She didn’t even have time to say good bye before she was bombarded by the paramedics and the press shoving cameras at her. Questions like, “Who was the crazy man asking for you? Why did he want you? Do you know him? What’s your connection with Spider-Man? Are you two dating? Why he did lump you two together?” She didn’t speak, her only question was directed to the paramedics who were throwing a blanket over and with help from the SWAT team, they made their way through the crowd of press hounding her for answer. Her only question was if her parents were okay.

Her parents were hit with knock out gas and per the agreement with the paramedics she was taken to the hospital for the night. In the hospital she wrote paper to release to the press.

The morning news turned with the big story. “We have an answer from Lexi Rogers about the situation that happened last night. She had her lawyers pass out the papers to everyone to insure that no one lacked any information. Here is what she wrote.” Her school photo popped up on the screen.

    “Hello everyone,
First and foremost, I thank everyone for their concern over me and my family as we were targets of the deranged person that attacked the school. The individual had the resemblance of one of my classmates and I while I do not wish to reveal the name; I hope that I wasn’t him. He signaled me out due to Spider-Man saving me from the burning building a week ago. The picture taken by the press of Spider-Man bring me to the ground must have struck him as something misleading. I know nothing more than Spider-Man is the hero of our fair city and that he is a shining example of what we should be, it doesn’t take a super power to put others in front of ourselves. We need to follow in Spider-Man’s footsteps and everyone needs to stand up for what’s right. The deranged maniac called me out specifically and I wasn’t going to let others suffer if I thought there was something I could do to help prevent it. The situation has be resolved thanks to the quick thinking of Spider-Man, the work of the SWAT team and the caring actions of the paramedics; I thank all of them for taking care of me and my parents from the bottom of my heart. If I could suggestion something for everyone to do it would be this, and simply this; let’s everyone try to be a hero and help others in whatever way we can.
    Sincerely, Lexi Rogers”

“There you have it folks, straight for the source herself. Her additional request was that people leave her be about the situation that happened at the school. She covered everything in the press release and does not wish to say any more. I think we can all do that for such a brave girl… Now turning to sports.”

Lexi clicked off the TV in her hospital bed. She was going to be allowed to go home today, her parents had regained themselves enough to go home as well but didn’t want to wait; they went straight to work on the Sunday, well aware that things were going to chaotic if they didn’t get on the ball now. They kissed her good bye before leaving; she took the jeep again to Peter’s house after going home and changing. She was rather sore from being juggled around but she felt okay. She changed into a pair of denim short shorts and a black shirt and flip flops. Arriving at Peter’s house she checked her reflection in the mirror before closing the visor and climbing out.

Walking up the steps she gave the door a light knock. She prayed that Aunt May wasn’t there, she didn’t want to be coddled at the moment; she needed to talk to Peter. She needed to know some things. And most of all, she needed him to know she wasn’t mad.
If that's your definition of 'short' I'd be stunned to see what your long is.
I'm answering back to one more post than I will be off to read yours!
This was it, the world was in slow motion just like in the movies; her life flashing before her eyes; the first memory she had of that horrible kiss, her first time she spent the night at Peter’s house, breaking all the house rules by staying up until midnight watching movies, her first dance, her first A on a test, her last cupcake she ate, the fact that she was turning 18 in a few days, her kisses with Spider-Man was instantly replaced with her kiss with Peter. That meant so much more to her than she could ever explain to anyone. If she was going to remember one thing before she fell to her death. Closing her eyes she took a deep breathe remembering everything about the moment from when he came in to the smell of his cologne to the gentle look in his eyes when he pulled away.

She was ripped out of her thoughts when he body was jerked in a different direction and she was caught in a way most familiar. Her eyes opened as she looked up to see Spider-Man had caught her and they were tumbling to the ground together, his grip so tight on her that she would have thought she meant something to him; if they lived through this they’d have to have a talk. Her stomach turned as she turned and she buried her face into his chest as she cupped her hands against him, feeling him rotate at the last minute, he landed on his back with her in his arms. “Oh my god, Spider-Man, are you okay?” She said quickly, her small body completely out of breath. But without the moment of saying that, the grunting and thumping of this newly formed Rick Archer showed up, it was almost as if she was invisible to him; that or the sick bastard wanted her to watch as Spider-Man died by his hand, her gaze followed the Goblin’s hand slowly removed the already torn mask.

She was just as human as everyone else; wanting to know who Spider-Man was but had the kindness to respect his privacy. As the mask lifted and Peter’s injured and ashy face, Lexi’s mouth dropped open in shock, her blue eyes wide as she took in the fact that it was Peter. All those times he had risked his life for the city. All the situations he could have fought back in school. Saving her from the burning building and the muggers; kissing him multiple times in the suite. The young man who no one paid attention but risk his life to protect the city that he loved so much. He was loved for his symbol but still attempted to live a normal life. Her best friend was Spider-Man. Her best friend she loved was the same man who had the other half of her heart.

“NO!” She screamed in desperation as Rick screamed with a laugh. But to her surprise, Peter still had the strength to roll away, keeping her out of harm’s way. As soon as he was off of her, she was up, her small body in her torn and slightly burnt dress backed up until her back hit the nearest poll of the back yard area. Before she could scream either a word of warning or another ‘no’, Peter was able to stop Rick with an intense fist punch to the chest. Lexi watch in shock, her black hair frizzed from the burst but still in the bun, her make smudged around her eyes and her blue eyes filled with water. She didn’t know whether to be happy that Peter was okay and defending himself, sad that Rick had gone this far, scared that something like this could happen or pissed off that Peter had never told her.

When everything was all said and done, she rose to her feet as he finished off cocooning Rick and turned to look in her direction. She walked slowly over to him, the mixes of emotions on her face were easily read and what was the first one to settle in was anger. Her hand rose up and she slapped him in the face. Polite enough to avoid the cut and not hard enough to actually hurt him, she give him a firm nod before pointing finger at him, “That’s for not telling me,” Then she placed her hands on each of his cheeks, again careful not to touch his injures as much as possible; she leaned up and planted a big fat kiss on his lips just like she had done when they were children in the video, when she pulled back a pop echoed throughout the empty back area of the school. “And that’s for everything else.”
That's fine, just wrote enough to keep the story going and detail so I don't get bored. Paint the picture that you're seeing in your head for me.
    Sure I understand that.
Feel free to tell me if you want anything changed or corrected!

That terrifying moment when something loomed over you, casting a large shadow of Lexi’s small body. She turned, a horrible looking man stood over her and before she could say anything he grabbed her by her throat lifting her off the ground as she kicked her legs in an attempt to make contact with him but nothing seemed to be working against the suite he had on. She swung her legs over and over again her hands attempted to pull his talons of fingers free from her neck. Her vision was blurry but the face of the creature before her seemed familiar and at that moment of getting dizzy from lack of oxygen to her brain, she couldn’t make out who it was.

Lucky for her brain she was dropped soon and the thing seemed to stumble backwards, as if coming to the realization of who she was before it screamed at her to get in the corner. He followed her as she walked slowly, by his command, towards her classmates; she could hear the limp bodies of her parents being dragged behind her by the monster. Her classmates had a mixed of expressions, some were surprised to see her here, others were scared that she showed up and others looked like they applauded her bravery. When she arrived to the group, she turned around to face the creature that threw her parents’ limp bodies to the ground and began to tie her wrists behind her back. The look of sheer anger moved across her face as she felt the rope go around her waist.

It wasn’t until she was face forward again that her eyes widened at the arrival of Spider-Man. This was both good and bad. As the man tumbled backwards he ended up letting go of the rope. She pulled the rope with her foot and kicked it behind her towards her classmates. The exchange between the two was somewhat humorous until the creature looked at her, her body visible shook from a mix of disgust and fear. But as Spider-Man called him Rick Archer, the whole room gasped, even Lexi looked stunned and stumbled backwards into the students, which is just were she wanted to be.

Very quietly she instructed someone to untie the ropes. It took three of the football players pulling at the knot to undo it due to how tight he tied it but at the end of it, they got her out in time for the glider to head for them. Before she could say anything, Spider-Man had pulled it out of the way. Her gaze followed the glider; her mind buzzing of all of her electronic knowledge. Though her thoughts were broken when the creature said that he would go after Peter. “NO!!!” She screamed, the first time she had shown pure terror about the situation. He was at home or at least on his way home from getting Aunt May, she couldn’t allow them to get hurt. He had to be stopped right here and right now.

Those thoughts were broken when Spider-Man shouted for everyone to leave. She grabbed two football players and convinced them to carry her parents outside. She was the last to leave the room, making sure that everyone was out of the gym, but it didn’t stay that way for long. She had gone to the opening the wall where the glider sat quietly awaiting the remote control orders from the creature. His suite was his power and part of that power came from the glider. Her attention was one the two fighting for a moment before she took a chance and climbed onto the glider. Her hands moving quickly over the panels, There has to be one that lifts, just one that peeks inside. She thought, her mind racing and her heart was pounding, her biggest inspiration to do this was to stop the creature from having any transportation to get to Aunt May and Peter.

Her small hands found a panel that was slightly loose and she pulled with all her might, the piece finally giving and revealing the insides filled with wires and levers. She paused for a moment examining it, well if this wasn’t going to kill her it would be a hell of a thing to take apart and see how it works. All the cords were incased in rubber, assuming she did touch the wires after she yanked them out, she shouldn’t get electrocuted. Taking in a deep breath, she reached in and gave the cords a large yank. Even with her small hands, she grabbed a large bundle of wires. For a moment, the machine stayed fine, which she wasn’t sure if it was a good thing or a bad thing.

Well it turned out to be a bad thing. The machine started to shake wildly with her on it, a small shriek left her as the machine took off into the air, flying around the gym targeting both Spider-Man and Rick on multiple passes before stopping in the middle and shaking violently again. Her knuckles turned white as she gripped onto the glider for dear life, it stopped again and turned, zooming out the door and taking off towards the sky. Stopping above the school it make another violent attempt to get her off before it stopped completely, hovering in the air as the police spotlight hit her. Thinking she was okay, she loosened her grip on the device before it started make a noise, a noise everyone hears in movies that tends to me a single bad thing, something was going to explode. A small little screen turned upwards, showing a countdown from 10. “Oh no…” she muttered as she quickly got to her feet. The thing was surprisingly stable as she walked quickly to each edge, taking her the choices she had. It would be nice for her school to have a pool but no! It couldn’t. 5…. 4….. 3….

It got too close, she didn’t care anymore, she took some distance back and ran, leaping off as the time hit 1… 0. BOOM, the explosion through her off the course she had picked with the large bushes and knocked her away from it. Well at least she got to kiss Peter before she died right?
