Well, isn't the whole point of the RP that your being blackmailed into doing what The Presence wants you too?

as charming as Joe is, he seems to be in complete control of his life and his environment. The Presence doesn't really have anything on him. What, is it going to expose him as a shape-shifting demon? Oh no, what a terrible thing for old Joe. It's not like he's a shape-shifting demon who can literally just disappear off the face of the earth, living as someone else until he goes back to stealing.

the presence may be able to find him, but for how long are the police going to follow it's leads? surely they would get sick of getting anonymous tips that Joe has shape-shifted in an old grandma now.

You have to keep in mind that Joe is a demon, and demons have weaknesses just as much as humans do. They're just different weaknesses.

I would like you to be honest with me. Are you just pointing out things that you think are a bit eh about my character, and think that once fixed would make a great character that would be fun to play with, or do just dislike the character from a story perspective? I'm a roleplayer with a passion for a good story, I can take an honest, "You're character's a bit boring, mind trying something different maybe?"

I was never intending the mind control ability itself as a weapon, as much as using it against innocent bystanders as a sort of miniature army.

@Eyeruption I was thinking along the lines of, for example, Joe would make himself look like someone's long lost relative, and they would get a surge of emotion seeing someone they thought had died.

Okay, here's how I was planning on using Joe's ability. Say he wanted to rob a bank or something. He'd go out onto a busy street, make himself look like a rough-n-tough tattooed dude, sucker punch a hot-headed muscled buck, they'd get mad, then they'd be under his control. He'd give the big burly guy the simple command of bursting through the door and knocking over as many pieces of furniture they could, while Joe walked past the distraction, into the back, grab a buck or two for a donut, then walks back out. Once the guy finished his task, he'd be back to normal, but also probably be in handcuffs after several bystanders called the police, and being hauled to jail.

Joe wouldn't have a group that he had full control over that he'd use over and over as his personal task force, he'd just grab someone off the streets to do one task, then they'd be back to normal. He's not exactly the strategic, look-ahead type person.

I completely agree, I would never use any form of mind control on another player's character without their permission. However, if you'd like some assurance, I could make it so it only works on people who don't know him for who he truly is.

Joe is a very chill guy, nothing really upsets him. Of course, even if it did, you wouldn't be able to tell from his facial expression. He speaks very smoothly in a classy accent-less accent, and always has a nice word for the ladies. He loves to go shopping for all kinds of things, whether it be icecream treats, big extravagant hats, or collector's addition superhero comics. But the money needs to come from somewhere, and getting a job is just too much work.

Powers/skills:
Joe is a lesser demon who wasn't quite demonic enough to hang out with the big boy lesser demons, so he left hell and became an American citizen instead. He still has his deception demon powers, however.

- If Joe can cause a human to feel intense emotion of any kind, he gains dominion over them until he releases them, which he usually does right after they do the specific action he captured them for. He's very honorable like that.

- Joe can change himself to look any way he wants, within the limits of it has to be human. He does not gain or lose any abilities, even though he can make himself look stronger/faster/etc. This extends to clothing as well. When not doing something that requires features, he usually takes the appearance of the picture above.

- Joe can only be noticed by the people he wishes to be noticed by. This doesn't mean people can't see him, it just means they don't notice anything out of the ordinary if he changes his features in the middle of a busy town square.

Equipment:
Only the random junk he gets on his shopping sprees. Nobody actually knows where he stores all that stuff.

Other:
He loves a butter pecan icecream, despite not actually having a mouth to eat it.

Athalia Academy Season Four: Back on Track (Freaking Finally, amirite?)

So where exactly along the Athalia timeline is this? I haven't really kept up with Athalia all that much.
All I really know is Season 1, with the whole demon attack thing, Season 2 island paradise place, and that the beginning of Season 3 had something to do with gender swapping..?
