New blood is indeed a good thing, sure as sure.
The Arbitrator had kept his peace, not dignifying his fellows with responses nor following suite as they arrived and some of the fools kneeled before the Medicae. Glaring at the fellows in his new found team, he was still unimpressed and such was likely visible. He noted the weapon and armor the man wore and kept, and as he began his rather long winded explanation of the situation, Atreides took stock of what he was looking at. Tech heresy, illegal under, as the man said, about any group or law one would bring such actions under. The medicae was well armed, not surprising for an Interrogator and another underling of the Inquisition. Inquisitor himself was likely busy with other, more pressing matters. But that was not a concern right now what his boss was doing, they had a very clear cut task in front of them. Hunt down and execute this criminal, and that was the only part of this that was clear.

As the medicae finished his questioning and the others spoke, Atreides could see the validity in such questions, at least. But he had a far simpler plan to undertake, and that was the old fashioned ways of doing things. Interrogation and walking the streets. And there was two places this could be done, in theory. In practice only one was practical. The location of death could be investigated, but with such constant traffic it was unlikely anything remained, if the car had not been quarantined. Considering this was to be a shadow investigation and not openly done, that was highly unlikely. Second, and far more likely to provide leads, was interrogating the deceased man's sister, Lili Arbest. She would be more likely to know his latest activities and the location of roughly where he vanished and his mental state more closely then. A third idea came to mind, and he included it as well.

"I will be brief Interrogator. One, how fast can it be arranged to speak to Lili Arbest? She could have useful information as to recent habits and where he was heading when he vanished, and I intend to find her before our heretic does. Second, was the transit rail car quarantined off after the event? If so, further investigation could prove useful. Lastly, was there a reason for his invalidation, and if not, who do I need to have words with to know why." Information was power, and his train of thought in asking questions resided in gathering information and putting together the inconsistent information into a rough idea of what happened in truth. He intended to go speak with Ms. Arbest regardless of the group's agreement or disagreement with his plans, and he frankly could care less about whether they agreed with him or not. He was the one who did this kind of work for a living, investigating and hunting down criminals, not them.

I am not looking forward to when those rolls of 6 and other such lows stop coming in, right when they would be more useful/life preserving.
Stukov stumbled out of the tunnel, ears ringing from the volume that the voices had left in his ears, enough so he missed anything that Watchman had to say on the matter of Smiles and her situation as the resident psyker of the group. Emperor preserve him he hated whenever the Warp was involved in such a manner. That kind of devil trickery only served to damn good men to their deaths and worse, and for some damned reason it left him shaken on a mental level, they knew far too much to just be random daemons. Or they were random daemons and could look into their minds, pick out the best methods of corruption and turn them on the group. But he looked from Boss, to Watchman and back before pushing himself off the wall he was leaning against and brushing off his coat, thankful for the rebreather and eye protection masking any real reaction so far. "Gentleman, I suggest we NOT go out that way, if at all possible?"

Taking a chance to properly take in his surroundings, the Armsman turned to look back into the corridor, including the power channeling through Smiles. Well, that probably wasn't a good sign. If those statues went active it would be a very bad day. However, he had an idea if that went south that should be far more efficient then blasting the statues to pieces, and spoke back to the Inquisitor as he voiced his idea. "Those things go active, Boss, you might have some luck with that null rod. Daemons tend to vanish fast if something disrupts their connection, in my experience at any rate. Might be faster then blowing the statues to pieces, at any rate." True to his word, however, if it looked like Smiles was going to need a hand he was ready to go moving back in there if at all necessary. Even if that meant subjugating himself to that damned Warp cursed corridor of statues all but screaming into his ears again, and he muttered to himself as he stood by for the last of their group to be out. "Damn things didn't need to be that loud..."
Alright, I'll be posting once I am back from work tonight.
I probably wont be able to post until after work tonight (For me, around 11PM ish probably).
Adrianne has a very big ego, and is prideful in her abilities to the point of over-confidence. When it comes to her casting, those two personal traits are perhaps the most profound for explaining her behavior!

Very big ego? Where, I saw nothing in that regard!
@TentacleLord

Since Aqua made me notice I also failed to answer character stats...

Jerod would have higher Defense and Resistance than your average Merc, I intend for him to be rather durable. His magic is terrible, like practically nil, and his other stats are about average.

Niya is your typical healer/mage type, so her stats will reflect that.

Jerod: Advancement would be Hero most likely, it would take a rather unusual situation to make him into a Bow Knight. Only reclass he might do is into a Myrmidon.

Niya: Into a Valkyrie, and she won't be reclassing most likely.

Enough to know that they are almost more trouble than they are worth to the Imperium, and that they usually have a finger in most major disasters :P

And our psyker wonders why people have no confidence, eh? I wonder what Skyrte will be doing now that we are all in the hallway of doom.
Well, another round of posts then, eh? Most excellent.
