lol, how many people were in the party? xD

There was about five of us, if memory serves. And the ship decompressed. And I was the only person who had power armor that could take void exposure, and I was busy being dead in the warp.
<Snipped quote by Eisenhorn>

I imagined that must have gone down something like the implosion in this fight.

On the bright side, it'd leave nothing to clean up xD

Good news, awesome SC2 video is awesome.

And it was more like the 30m chunk of the ship, in a sphere, kind of poofed. With all teh downsides of being within 30m of the hull did to the rest of the ship. It was a TPK too, which led to me being banned from playing psykers in black crusade ever again xD

On the bright side, some psyker deaths can include everything from Incineration or Implosions, leaving nothing to clean up :P

If Adrianne goes the way of possession, that doesn't necessarily mean she HAS to turn into a 10ft tall visceral eldritch horror of tentacles and unbridled-rage that spurts gallons of blood all over the workshop!

On the downside, getting taken by the warp could also lead to a 30m+ sphere getting devoured (Which I have personally had happen to a chara of mine before XD)

On the bright side, non-psykers can focus on the purely physical plane during combat, whereas a psyker might feel as if someone is constantly screaming right into their ear through a giant loudspeaker when they are fighting a particularly powerful daemon :D

Downside being if a psyker goes critical, they are left to clean up the aftermath. Sometimes with very subpar gear for hte cleanup xD

Adrianne, with her psychic power CAN be sort of a super-soldier, I guess.

Imagine if Snake could detect incoming enemy patrols through the power of precognition!

He would be nigh unstoppable, that's pretty much almost like combining Psycho Mantis and Snake xD

And compared to Adrianne, ol' Stukov is just a rifle toting grunt right now, with a knack for not getting dead.

Well, we are trying to do a stealth mission, though a part of me suspects we've already failed that part ^^

Snake from Metal Gear Solid would probably cringe if he saw us!

Well, we aren't clones of badass supersoldiers, or the original. Or hte one that birthed them. Or any of the sneaky badasses from MGS, really! Just a motley crew of psykers and soldiers of various callings but the same goal!
Post up!

And why breach a door if you can just open it? :D

Because kicking a door down is far more satisfying and inquisitorial like!
So I am assuming we landed somewhere outside of the factory?

Like, does the factory have like a big, fenced-off courtyard surrounding it or is it basically just one solid, monolithic building? Just wondering which door Andro is about to breach ^_^

Psshh, as if psykers don't already possess telepathic powers. She probably knows what you're thinking anyway >:D

Or she'll drop you ten feet off hte ground while trying ot save time. And no mind reading needed to understand the surprise there!
I thought the idea was interesting as I read it, but then once I saw Awakening being involved kiiind of suckered me in more. The inclusion of other series is just icing on the cake. Allow me to place my interest here, then, while I think of some series that could be included. Hellsing, mayhaps?
"Quiet right up until someone starts shooting at us. We also might want to avoid another hallway of statues, you know, considering the track record with those so far..." Whether Stukov was making light of how the first encounter with the statues that came alive to try and attack, murder, or do worse to the retinue and its members, or was somewhat miffed on how that turned out still due to outside interference that, while Sis could not have known what she was walking into, did not really change the fact that it had happened. It was done, though, so he was unable to go back in time and fix the problem or prevent it from happening at all. He had heard out the briefings and discussion, and had little to add towards the plans. He had no idea how to safely involve the Sisters of Battle without rumbling the intentions of Boss, and frankly, he would rather they kept out of the work unless things clearly went to hell, and he wished that had no chance of being literal. As the Valkyrie landed, and the rear hatch dropped, Stukov was already on his feet and heading down the ramp, scanning his surroundings and looking for any possible threats, obvious or subtle. Once he was as sure as he could be, he spoke back to the retinue through his comms, rebreather worn again.

"We're clear out here, Boss. I'll take point, let's hit this factory and hopefully figure out something fast." Stukov would wait for the group to disembark before taking the lead, heading for the factory at a deliberate, but not too rushed of a pace. They wanted to blend in and be subtle about their approach, so no sense acting like a military unit being disembarked from their transport to raid a given location. Speaking of subtle, Stukov brought up his question on the use of a Valkyrie to drop them off close to the Factory and yet remain subtle about it. The transports weren't always the quietest craft used by the Guard or Navy, and unless the factory was running its heavy industrial equipment, he was concerned about any squatter heretics, criminals, rebels, or worse hiding in the silent, abandoned ruins of a factory. Either way, though, he spoke as an aside to Boss, keeping it over the comms though. "So, for subtle, landing a Valkyrie and disembarking like a raid team was subtle, sure as sure. Hope the factory equipment was running, sharp ears might have heard otherwise."
