Journey through the Cave

Hearing. For some reason even though Bristle was right next to her she could hear nothing of his wagon, or even his breathing. Instead giggling voices at the edge of her hearing, barely even there. "Such a pretty bow." one called out longingly. "Such shiny swords" called another. "And a beautiful locket..." another trailed off. Then they turned cruel. "But she doesn't deserve them." "She stole them from her family." "We should take them." The voices cackled, still tickling just the edge of her hearing.

Smell/Taste. The sweet scent of chocolate wafted through the air. At least for a bit. Then came the horrible scent of burned sweets, overwhelming in its strength. Strong enough to make someone cough, it wrapped around her for several seconds before leaving. Perhaps a warning for what came after this cave.

Touch. Though the voices vanished it seemed the originators hadn't and sudden a fierce tugging came at her. Her locket was snatched and pulled to the edge of its chain, her swords roughly pulled against her sheaths and her bow pulled away, taunt against her body. This went on for minutes before it suddenly stopped, leaving as though it had never happened.

Sight. The pitchblack of the cave began to lighten up and the walls around her slowly became more visible. As did something in the middle of the cave. People. A group of three in fact. As Crystal got closer she would realize that she recognized them. It was her family. They turned to her with eagerness, they appeared harried and exhausted, like they had been on the run from something for days. They ran towards her and a dark wave rushed from behind them. For a few seconds it looked as though they could outrun it and make it to the wagon. But suddenly the darkness gained ground and the three of them vanished, mouths open in a silent scream. Moments later everything was normal again, the only change from the rest of her trek through the cave was that there was now a faint light that signaled the end of the tunnel.

Megan suppressed a growl as she clung to her desk and carefully held onto her notebook. Who did this women think she was? Somehow activating a card that appeared to be outside of a solid vision field, beating a security guard, ruining her learning? Honestly the class was probably ruined for at least the whole day, certainly until the women was caught. Megan rose from her seat, roughly jostling it and ran outside after the student that had already left and the women. Megan felt a brief moment of guilt for leaving the security guard behind but Nate was on it. Megan tore out of the classroom and ran to the stairs glancing down and above. The heck did this women go? Well she had to be somewhere and doubtless any meaningful learning couldn't happen until she was gone. Besides, her disk was built for running around right? "Ready or not, here I come!" Megan shouted and ran upwards, checking floors as best she could and alternating between listening and looking.

"Lead on Robin." He still wasn't quite sure what was going on, but it was obvious Robin and the Ivalice commander knew, so that was good enough for him.

Seemingly eager to capitalize on Hyakuya's show of weakness a wyvern rider dove from above to strike at the dragon's head. Diana's eyes glinted with a fierce light and she ran forward, placing one foot on Hyakuya's back and leapt upwards, driving her lance into the rider's armor and sending him flying off his mount. Diana awkwardly fell through the air several feet towards the ground. Seeing a now or never moment the remaining two rider came at her from either side, weapons raised to finish her off while she was in the air. Well maybe this had looked a little better in her head. Hopefully her team wasn't too starstruck by her stunt to give her a hand. "Help!?" On the bright side the two rider's seemed committed, so if the two of them were finished off they won. Diana would like to be still alive when they did though.
