@Supermaxx would you consider rebooting this? The premise is quite good.

I concur. This roleplay does look interesting.
Is there a set character sheet for our characters... or is the CS just what ever we wish as long as it is deemed as credible?

I don't care how the CS is formatted as long as the listed categories in the template are filled.

1. Starting Items?
2. Starting Moves?
3. Starting Money?
4. Hidden abilities when?
5. How often can we expect to encounter non-Kanto pokemon within Kanto?

1) Whatever you wish as long as it is reasonable for your archetype but also in the context of being a newbie trainer. You're not going to get away with things like having a dozen Master Balls to your name, but if someone rich stocked up some potions ahead of time, sure. It'd probably work out.

2) The current list of moves a Pokémon can learn according to the latest generation.

3) See 1.

4) TBD as of this moment.

5) Any time. Save for regional variants (like Galarian Slowpoke/Ponyta, Alolan Vulpix, etc.) and other specific instances (Castform, for example), I don't subscribe to the notion that only certain Pokémon can be found in one region. Some Pokémon will probably be difficult to find, though, like other starter Pokémon.

if possible i’d like for dudders to not be in a pokéball, but i understand if he has to be

That's fine. Of course they'll still have a pokéball, but I imagine it's something like Pikachu in the anime, yeah?

Could this be okay? It's the best i got.

I'd prefer you use the CS template. And anime FCs, as I mentioned. A comic/cartoon filter overlaid on real life FCs is not what I'm looking for.
Right; since we had a bunch of interest in the interest check, I'll be limiting this roleplay to most likely six maximum players or so (anything over is pushing it). One character per player, and one pre-evolved Pokémon per player (for now).

Plot Synopsis
Pokémon: Legends of Tomorrow is a semi-sandbox, open world roleplay situated in the Pokémon universe.

Players will take the role of a soon-to-be trainer in Pallet Town, Kanto. There, they will receive their Pokédex, and depending on the individual, their first Pokémon from Professor Oak before being allowed to explore the world of Pokemon proper as they so wish. Perhaps they desire to take on the Indigo League and claim the title of Champion. Maybe they want to catch 'em all. Or, maybe they're in it for something else entirely. The choice is theirs to make.

Out of Character Information
Hello, everyone! It has been some time since I've been on the Guild, but I had a hankering to roleplay again after I was forced to take a long break due to personal, real life issues.

This roleplay is essentially the standard Pokémon roleplay, centered around newbie trainers exploring the world of Pokémon. It will not exclusively follow any particular storyline, but given that the roleplay is taking place in the Kanto region, you can expect that certain elements will be borrowed from that generation (and maybe Johto/Gen 2). In addition, some elements to Pokémon canon may be changed, added to or outright removed as seen fit in an attempt to breathe more "life" in the setting so that it may better work as a roleplay (such as adding new towns, events, etc.).

If you're interested, please leave your interest below as well with any questions you may have for me to answer.

Bumping this one more time before I start working on the RP proper!
Will only Kanto pokemon be involved or can we just like go nuts with it within reason of course

Pokemon from other regions are allowed, yes, especially since the characters may already have one of their own. I personally plan on having a Popplio to fit my concept of a newbie Alolan trainer that had travelled to Kanto upon the request of Oak's cousin in Alola.

Okay, so there is a choice here for you all. You either can have your character just arriving to the castle, or have them already there.

Although winter had begun to thaw across the countryside, the weather felt as time simply hadn't passed. The air remained cold and the skies dreary, as if it were an omen for the days ahead. Just the thought of the future filled Syntheeya's thoughts with uncertainties, even if she had understood why the High Elder called upon the Order of the Sun, the religious sect that they belonged to, to send a representative of theirs. Something had to be done, that much was obvious, but how could they expect a small group of youth to accomplish something so great?

"I'm certain they share similar sentiments." Syntheeya uttered nonchalantly to herself, her Eidolon scouting the road as she watched from the castle ramparts. "Or maybe not. Some people are just naturally foolhardy, with ideas of glory and heroics stuck in their heads." She shrugged, hearing the loud caws of her Eidolon spotting something in the distance.

Standing up from the cold stone she had been sitting on, Syntheeya turned to a group of nearby guards, and shouted in their direction. "Open the portcullis! More heroes have come to answer the King's call."

Well, in the end, I suppose we'll just have to wait and see. Syntheeya figured, holding out her gloved arm to catch the bird-like creature as it swooped downwards towards the young falconer upon accomplishing its goal. I just hope they're at least aware of the magnitude of what they're getting into.
