so, because of the potential of one or two rotten apples in a barrel of five hundred, you feel the mods should be charged with every single change to RP participant changes on the RPs with restricted IC? How will they have time to deal with the actual moderator stuff if they have to check over all those things? And how can they possibly be expected to know when someone is abusing their role as GM from seeing such? Don't forget that the moderators are volunteers. They don't get paid for this.

Well, if a GM does such, it is a case for the moderators. And restricting access to IC != breaking a group.

Restricting people from posting in the OoC, now that is a Moderator-level thing. IC restrictions should primarily be decided by GM. If a GM misuses this, he or she will soon find himself/herself without players. if its a clear pattern, word will get around about it.

RP Tag Requests

hmm... true. But what name to give such a tag?

Maybe "Animalia", as in the animal kingdom in the species classification system?

Why add a new section when the GM/Co-GM/OP tag on the upper right corner can do the job? Besides, considering that the marking "OP" doesn't grant any additional powers, it should be easy to copy permission system from that to the new ex-GM marking.

Rather than developing a completely new system for marking those who were GMs before, why not adapt an existing one? Should be far easier to do that.

I think that if the GM leaves or randomly disappear mods/the Co-GM elected should be awarded the merit of full GM, including the title.

Maybe a sort of recognition for those stripped of GM, like an "ex-GM" tag where there are currently OP, GM & Co-GM tags?

yes, report function should have features like "inactive user", "inactive GMs", "Needs new GM", and of course the "user is a spambot" one.

Quick question on that,@Mahz... How will the above system handle it if a user disappears from the guild while having Active RPs? Will those RPs remain tagged as active, or will you have some means for dealing with such?

Or for that matter, if the GM goes away?
