Current Peace is a Lie, there is only Passion. Through Passion, I gain Strength. Through Strength, I gain Power. Through Power, I gain Victory. Through Victory, My Chains are Broken. The Force Shall Free Me.

still doesn't make sense to us...

oh, and another, more theoretical question: Say a person has no favorite character, how can they kill their favorite character?
you list "Jaffar's (left) thumb" as a rule... But what is that?
It would be nice to have some more discussion on which tags people want to get added to the guild.

Initially at least, the primary focus should be in the existing Genre segment.

These have been suggested in this topic:

Superhuman
Paranormal
Mystery
Horror
Western
Psychological
Science Fantasy
Sandbox
Medieval
Ancient World
Victorian
Earth
Other planet(s)
Animalia
Vampires

For reasons of clutter, it is given that not all can be added (yet?). But if we can get some thoughts on a few to get in, then Mahz is no doubt willing to add them.
It wouldn't look right to have five (or more) lines full of genre tags to select from in the topic creation phase.

While trying to test the above, we discovered that topics from the previous guild generation, or at least this one, cannot get join status tags applied. trying to apply such gives this error message in red: "Invalid join-status". Not really important to us (that RP is in hiatus and when rebooted will use a new thread), but might be relevant to others.
we're fond of pictures, but unless the picture is made specifically for that particular character, it never fits exactly right. Thus we prefer to have a written description as well. An image says more than words can say, but words reveal things a picture can't always easily portray.

Typically when we go looking for images, we delve into DeviantArt, making sure to avoid images that are marked as "do not use" or somesuch. There are a few, but most images aren't tagged with that. More often than not, we've seen that its the images we'd never use in the first place that have such markings.

We're rather fond of seeing the author write a little in their CS so that we as GM can get a rough idea of what the CS author is like without having to go digging into their past RPs.

That sounds like much more clutter to add than adding a button with a single @ on it.

What you or even we might regard it as is kinda irrelevant. The example above from @Whizzball1 shows why a non-mention quote would be beneficial.

well, having it separated further would make it look less like a two-function button (which is kinda the goal)...

That looks rather nice.

Yes, it would be convenient to have the buttons be [quote], [@quote] & [@Mention] or somesuch.
