Maybe I'll play Cyberpunk 2077 some more. My brother maxed out my character a year and a half ago. Haven't seen him since. Miss him.

”Mr. Dawson, why don't you have a seat?” He said, gesturing to the brown leather chair he had his hand resting on.

The men behind Adel stepped forward. They each placed a firm hand around his upper arms, half-guiding, half-dragging Adel to the seat. If Adel struggled in any way, their plan would have been quickly subduing him with a blow to the cheek - but besides tensing up, the man didn’t fight.

They shoved Adel into the seat, twisting it so it faced the mirror. Vincent still had that smirk on his face as he picked up a bowl of shaving cream and an applicator brush on the counter.

Slowly, methodically, Vincent applied shaving cream to Adel's face while speaking.

”Now, my men tell me that you and your spies have decided to make it your home in White Pine. Not that I care too much about that.”

He set down the bowl, picking out a barber's blade instead. He opened it, the fresh gleam of a clean, sharp blade within.

“What I really care about, though, is who set you up to do this.”

The blade pressed against Adel's neck as Vincent leaned over, staring at the man through the mirror.

”So, what'll it be, Canary? You gonna sing?”

Nocturnal Memoirs (2024)

"A million times I have done this charade. The moment people figure it out, I get the boot." she thought.

"But don't you want to see the fear in their eyes when they see who you really are...? Don't you want dominion of this place, just like how you were unchallenged in Vaal Kastrix?" said the Voice.

Ciara scoffed, immediately thinking of Gulliver and Valen. "I'd love to wipe the smirk off their faces."

"It starts by building a rumor. A rumor of power. This could be the place to start."

She took a deep breath, narrowing her eyes resolutely at the Undermage. "Head Advisor, with all due respect, you have no right to ask me about my intentions. If you want answers..."

She stood from her seat, rising to her full height.

"You'll have to duel me for them."

And is Dlay still with us?
Here's my sheet, 76. Lemme know what you think. :)

(Hehe, nice reference.) Nah, it might actually be more interesting if your character lived on the island. That kind of contrast from slice-of-life to the terrible world beyond would be dynamite. ;)

Totally up to you, though.
Matthew managed to slow the targets, though not with the precision Adam wielded. It was fitting; the teacher was meant to be better. She took comfort in the fact that authority had true power here. Aislin already knew with some practice Matt would nail it. His power, she wished she didn't have to say it, but it was kind of intimidating. That demonstration was just a facet, he could do other stuff too. Aislin frowned as she pushed away her envy and apprehension, reasoning there was nothing to fear in a class setting. Regardless, he was dismissed.

Daniel, upon request, mentioned to Mr. Blackmore the largest thing he could summon up. It wasn't too impressive, just a small cubboard. But his reason behind the object's smallness piqued her curiosity; he worked through holes. Portals. So what exactly was this other dimensional space? Where did the rose exist before he pulled it out of his pocket and offered it to her?

There was one eccentrically dressed lady in their group, black and gothic. Aislin didn't really notice her until she saw her exchange with the other lady in their group -- a hottie, Kristen. Aislin gauged her reaction, and watched the reactions of the other men around them. And she quickly felt outshone. God, does she realize she short-circuits all the young male brains here?

But then she mentioned how she needed to kiss someone to use her power, and Aislin facepalmed. Yeah, staying apathetic towards Kristen was probably wise; the girl wasn't a threat, but she seemed so limp-boned Aislin wrinkled her nose. Part of her dislike resided in her perfect looks, but Aislin shrugged off most of her jealousy.

Adam quickly cycled through the students, returning his attention back to Aislin. "Animating your surroundings. I have to ask that you quickly demonstrate your ability...."

Animating plain floors were easy, just like water. A singular base material, and lots of it, was easy to move and manipulate into shapes. Aislin was sure she could take what she learned from animating water here, she just had to keep her concentration. With a slow inhale, Aislin held it in as she emptied her mind.

Forgetting about the sheer amount of people in the room, or how intense Adam's eyes were, Aislin focused on the ceramic ground, trying to find a connection. The gray stone took on a fluidic expression as it began rippling out from below her feet. It boiled up in tiny bubbles just to her right, and she reached a hand out as a stream of gray stone rose up and wrapped a couple time around her wrist. The twisting stream disconnected from the floor, taking the form of a snake as it coiled into the palm of her hand.

The snake lazily flicked its tongue out, then rested its head as it morphed from scales to petals. A bud opened up in its center, and thin, ornate petals of a lily swirled outward to fully embrace the air.

Yes, that's exactly it. Just a little-- Aislin desperately tried ignoring the voice inside her head. The one that incessantly analyzed her surroundings, that tried to be helpful when it only interrupted the much needed silence she needed. Shh, no thoughts. I can't let myself get distracted with messing this up, I have a lot of people to imp-- Ah, shit.

With an audible crack, the lily split in half, then crumbled into pieces. Gray sand fell from her fingers, merging with the floor underneath her feet, becoming still once more. Aislin clicked her tongue in disapproval, glancing across the seamless ground. It was as if her power had never touched it.

Dammit. She thought, the back of her neck heating up. Just like that, her animation died. All from a thought that got carried away. Of course I had to get distracted in front of the teacher.

"The slightest amount of babbling thought makes me lose it." She said, almost feeling she owed an explanation.
Nice sheet, Lunaire. We'll see what Isudae thinks. :3

Hey, ER-sama. Lovely seeing you here. I think we have space for one more. ^^
@Ginger, Jab:

Let's try to keep the matches short, like the first three hits determine the winner. ;)
Phil offered his toast next, talking about their future and, pulling a page from her book, spoke of those they had lost. Cora was instantly brought back to mid-day wasteland, the hostage Vygorn trap, looking back at the sand tornado obscuring the battlefield. From on top of the ridge, it was impossible to see beyond the storm. She remembered almost turning back, almost diving into the storm again to save the others. But her fear stopped her. Her previous defeat at the alien's hand was fresh in her mind. She turned away and walked down the other side of the ridge without sparing a second glance back.

Cora frowned, curling her lip at the thought. Her gaze flickered to Will as he stood, lifting his drink. He toasted to Yahtzee, and she smiled. Water, so free-flowing, peaceful. I'm kind of envious. She swished around the contents of her fourth refill, watching the clear liquid splash against the hard edges of its icy container. As it swirled she noted its purity, clean water held within fresh ice. The dividing line between the two forms of elements became thinner and thinner... Until she stopped.

With the water as still as ice, Cora swore a white glare glinted within its edges. In her mind she saw something beyond the two -- where two became one. How far can we combine our powers?

Feeling as though she reached some kind of epiphany, Cora almost missed Yahtzee's enthusiastic request. But Will didn't miss a beat, splashing water at Phil in a playful taunt. Cora turned around on the log, facing the to-be match. "I think we could arrange some show-and-tell sparring. I could use the practice anyway."

She glanced over at Yahtzee, a cheeky grin on her face. "Will's really good, I think he did boxing as a job years ago. We totally lucked out getting his expertise on the team." She said, touching the blush building up behind her cheeks. Am I feverish? She frowned, not finding the connection.

Shrugging, Cora focused on the match again. "I would like sparring with the winner, I think. Will, I know you're an expert. But Phil, do you know how to spar?" She laughed, raising a hand in amendment. "Not that I don't think you know what's what, but maybe we should have a run of the rules so no one goes severely hurting one another, eh?"
How exciting!! :D

I've subscribed to the thread, and will hopefully have a character for you soon. I agree with all your previously mentioned ideas above, and will incorporate them as best I can. And I do apologize for the delay, my weekend was busy. XD
I agree with the pit stop idea, that way you can meet us up at the same time -- which is currently at night. :)
