Do you not necessarily need energy in order to be conscious?

Er, you do. I guess I misunderstand your question.
<Snipped quote by Etcetera>

I mean the energy to support a consciousness.

Under what circumstances?
<Snipped quote by Etcetera>

Would they generate naturally often enough to support a consciousness and powers?

Uh... as far as I'm aware, nonliving material cannot make consciousnesses.

Not everything has to be fast and moving all the time. Even if you want to take a seat and just ride along for a while, that works too. Of course, if you have your heart set on hiatus, that's an option, but if you want some reset time and still want to be a part, it's not a bad thing to sit back and go with the flow of others' ideas for a while. Even chatting at the base works.
I hope it's not a rant about any of us. I don't want anybody to feel bad.
<Snipped quote by Etcetera>

Yes.

You can generate them with energy.
<Snipped quote by Etcetera>

I wonder what would channel them, or where he would get them from in a reasonable supply.

Gamma waves?
<Snipped quote by Etcetera>

Agreed.
It was presented as a game before it was out, it then presented itself as a story once you
played it, and it met neither of these self set expectations. It's just kinda sad.

Yeah. I just hate how linear Sonic games have become. Something open like Sonic Utopia would be a huge benefit to the franchise.
<Snipped quote by Etcetera>

Yea. The inconsistencies show, and that's part of what takes away from the fact that it could have been a good game.

Yeah, it wasn't horrible, but it's unfortunate how mediocre it was.
<Snipped quote by DarkwolfX37>

...what's the paragraph for?
(Besides the fact that sonic forces presents itself as more of a story than a game even though it's supposed to be a game.)

The problem with the story is that it totally forgets its own established info. Sonic clearly wasn't tortured, considering his attitude. The world is fine. There's no way infinite could have defeated Sonic on that first go.
