That sounds like a conversation ender, but I have two questions. First, is Faering free to use your power for the task ahead? And second, after taking down the heralds, will the beast slumber for eternity for certain?

I'm afraid the answer to both questions is no. The half-dragon must rely on her own power, and at best, you will have delayed the unknowable's awakening by some amount of time. Perhaps forever, perhaps a day.
