Noragami: Four Gods of Trouble (Reboot)

He landed firmly on his feet , the handle of the scythe blade in one hand the chain wrapped around his other hand ready and waiting for Kurami to make the first move, he relayed on his speed and defense more than barging into an attack. Like his Shinki, Yuichi himself tried to avoid fighting, but he was a God and he wouldn’t let Kurami prance around the city destroying it.

“Catch me if you can,” he winked at her before dashing out the parlor and jumping to the root top. The ice cream parlor was too small, and even though they went unnoticed there was too many innocent people inside that could have got hurt. Kurami was already creating so much misfortune on the streets. He had to distract her, or reason with her.

What he lacked in strength Yuichi made up for in speed, however he didn’t see the kick coming. He let out a groan as Kuramis kick made contact to his face causing him to stagger backwards, but he wasn’t going to let her win that easy, he was focused now.

He back flipped into the air and summoned the Kusarigama to his side, “Kyoki! Show them what you can do.” He knew Kyoko didn’t like fighting, but he had to make her strong. He could never abandon Kyoko so he had to help her grow as a Shinki, he had to raise her spirits and encourage her. She was pure of heart and that’s where he channeled all of her energy from. If only she could see in herself what Yuichi seen in her too.

His eyes narrowed in on Kurami and he almost let out a hissing sound “Set it ablaze and I’ll gladly grant the luck for everyone to leave here unharmed”

He felt Kyoko’s pain and how hurt she felt by Kuramis words. His gazed was then burning into the Shinki Hisaoka “Why don’t you worry about your devious little twerp of a shinki instead of underestimating mine. Kyoko has never disappointed me, it doesn’t matter if she likes to fight or not." He puffed out his chest and adjusted his stance, Yuichi was ready for a fight and ready to summon Kyoki to his side, "Be strong for me Kyoko" he whispered to himself.

His attention was focused on the tower of ice cream he planned to eat and he was caught of guard as Kyoko tripped over her own feet. He reached out to grab her, but didn’t grab her in time. He frowned seeing Kyoko pout, she was just so sweet and innocent it upset him so much to see her sad or hurt so he always tried his best to keep her happy in their spare time.

”That’s my girl. he replied happily and with a smile at her words. He was pleased Kyoko enjoyed tagging along everywhere he went. He couldn’t ask for anything more than that. ”I like chocolate, but lets get one of every scoop!” his eyes sparkled as he looked all the flavours. What a fatty.

The glorious moment of ice cream was short lived as Yuichi was nearly hit in the face by a flying scoop of ice cream, he side stepped in just enough time, but the ice cream still grazed the side of his face. He wiped the ice cream from his cheek and turned to face the God he hoped to not see for a long while ”Kurami” his tone was harsh, “And why are you interrupting this important moment? he stood in between Kurami and Kyoko now. He didn’t hate her, but they were clearly rivals. He granted the wishes of luck and wealth and Kurami brought misfortune everywhere she went.
