Character Name: Sylvanna Teledar
Time of Day: Early morning
Location: Dormitory
Interacting with: who really gives a toss

Eventually, Sylvie found herself out on the practise field like everyone else. It was about time, too, because she was sick of sitting through orientations and lectures. They had promised her a chance to use magic, and she wanted a chance to use magic! Magic was directly conducive to having fun, unlike talking, talking, and more talking. Granted, there was fun to be had in talking, but not the kindof talking they had been doing up till now. It was more fun listening to Phoenix Dumb talk about being Phoenix Dumb than anything else. The moment he stepped out onto the foreground, Sylvie was anticipating a fun time.

Marius did not disappoint. He immediately caused a huge scene with his flashy magic, and he caused a whole bunch of problems for the staff to deal with. Sylvie giggled and cackled as she watched him obliviously grandstand in front of the almost assuredly annoyed proctors. She was a little disappointed to see how calmly Den responded to him. She was hoping for more of a furor like with Mama Tiana back in the dorm. Where was the fun in people calmly talking things out and being reasonable? Still, she was quite satisfied with his performance. If she had been one of the proctors, though she would never do so due to it being all too dull, she would have given him perfect marks.

However, the best part was that with the end of his stunts came the time for her to make her own show. Sylvie loved getting the chance to have things go her way. It was great to have others entertain her, but sometimes they didn't go the whole hog, so it was better to be able to stir things up personally. Right now, Sylvie was running high on Marius' example, and so she wanted to add some flair to her own attempt. Instead of walking out like a normal person, Sylvie pirouetted into the center of attention. "Hark, ye masses!" She began, as if announcing herself to the world. "I am the scintillatingly superb Sylvanna Teledar! I am an adept of the schools of Enchantment and Alteration." Her claim to significant skill in either field was as embellished as her performance, but from the looks on the proctor's faces it seemed they were under no illusions of what they were dealing with.

When given the go ahead to make her own mark on this test, Sylvie launched into an even greater performance than before. She leapt into the air, pulling off a spin mid-air, and landed in a dramatic fashion, before pointing to the furthest point of the field, behind the proctors. "See? My magnificence is laid bare for the world to see!" One look in the direction she pointed in would reveal nothing of interest. It would appear as though she had done nothing at all besides some fancy acrobatics.

But therein lay the trap. With at least some distracted, Sylvie took the chance to perform some actual magic. Her spell was one of Alteration, and it was directed at a female proctor with her back turned to her. It was nothing harmful, at least physically; it was merely designed to weaken the fabric of clothing, in this case breaking down the proctor's robes to the point they came apart at the seams and fell from her body. To Syvlie's great amusement, and the proctor's certain horror, she was left completely exposed save her undergarments. Sylvie, overwhelmed by the hilarity of her own little jape, collapsed to the ground howling with laughter, oblivious to the possibility of actual consequences from this.

Sylvanna continued prancing about obliviously until the orc becoming acquainted with a bookcase disrupted her. She only had to stare at him and his embarrassed face for a few seconds before coming to the conclusion this was just as, if not more so, hilarious than Phoenix Dumb. She started laughing like a jackal once again, as though the sight of someone bumping into something was the greatest entertainment she'd had in years. Arguably it was, if only because Sylvie bored so easily and a few days without a good bit of chaos at the Guild was like going an eternity without laughter for others.

She would have spent the whole time laughing at him, save for the fact that Phoenix Dumb suddenly started gesturing at her. She gathered that he wanted to invite the lot of them to dine. Sylvie perked up in further excitement. How could she refuse? She would have the perfect opportunity to watch Phoenix Dumb AND Orky entertain her in unison! Without a word of warning, she grabbed Orky by the arm, trying to pull him towards the others. "Come on, Orky Porky! Phoenix Dumb wants to eat together!" She told him cheerfully. She was not actually aware that his name was "Orky", only having conjured it up for the sake of her silly nickname. She was also not nearly strong enough to drag an orc around, so the decision to move closer to Phoenix Dumb and the petite Enuri was entirely in his hands.

Sylvie was positively jubilant upon hearing Brandon would indulge her. It had been so long since she'd been able to get someone to go along with her. She was almost bouncing up and down on the spot as she anticipated the confrontation that was to come. Brandon did not disappoint; the moment Sylvie heard the phrase "Phoenix Dumb", she broke out in hysterics once again. It would probably seem beyond juvenile to anyone else, but to Sylvie it was the funniest thing she had heard in a while. The only let down was that Marius wasn't nearly as rankled by it as she had hoped. Again, it was not so much that she desired to see him suffer, but if he wouldn't get worked up, how could he give as good as he got? It was more fun when people traded verbal jousts back and forth. Instead, he offered some calm insight Sylvie couldn't fully understand.

However, whatever the nature of their exchange was or would become, Sylvie had seized upon something stupid and juvenile to be entertained by, and that was all she needed. She started dancing around where she stood, enraptured by the silly insult she had been inspired by. "Phoenix Dumb! Phoenix Dumb! Phoenix Dumb!" She began chanting loudly and continuously. Anyone that knew her would know she had a tendency to latch on to strange things like this, but anyone that didn't know her would likely think she had gone mad...or that she was several years younger than she appeared.

Things only got funnier as events evolved for Sylvie. Apparently the bandage boy thought she was a mummy. Then he started talking about armies and retainers. Did he seriously think everyone here had come to serve him? This guy was a riot! Then he suddenly collapsed to his knees. He seriously thought he was under assault from a demon, only for Mama Tiana to turn out to be the instigator. Sylvie lamented the fact that bandage boy didn't have the opportunity to attack Tiana before being restrained. Not that she reveled in people getting hurt, but she expected that he would have been restrained very easily by the better mage, and THAT would have been a sight to see!

The downer to all this was Tiana was going full fuddy-duddy and giving both bandage boy and the rest of them a thunderous lecture. Her laughter died down as the mirth left the situation. Only a short giggle or two left her lips as bandage boy mentioned thinking she was a mummy, and that he believed assassins were trying to ambush him. He even thought he was some kindof prophesied hero with a great destiny to meet. What a hoot! Sylvie was almost inclined to believe that he was actually a harlequin with a really convincing routine.

Eventually, Mama Tiana calmed everyone down in order to get on with the day. Not even Brandon's hilarious suggestions were able to stir things up again. Sylvie was quite disappointed. She unenthusiastically announced her presence when her moment came on the roll call. Once Tiana was done, however, Sylvie seized the opportunity to try and get things going again. As usual, it was better to get someone else to entertain her than to have to make her own entertainment, and to that end she hovered over Brandon's stocky form. "Brandon, Brandon, Brandon! Call bandage boy more silly names!" She usually hated it when people yelled at her, but Brandon was always full of funny words that made her day. Even better if he said them to someone else.

Sylvanna was busy pouting in the corridor before everything began. She had once again attempted to coerce a fellow student into providing the essential service of carrying her things between classes. When he refused, she rightfully took exception to his defiance in full view of everyone. Only, a senior member of the Guild intervened on his side, claiming it was unfair of her to demand services from the others. The nerve! Her parents had not sent any of the household servants with her, so what was she supposed to do? Carry all her things herself? It was outrageous. All her life she had been attended to by the various attendants of the house, so it was only natural she receive the same level of care here. Why couldn't anyone understand that?

Even worse, she hadn't been able to have much fun at all since she had arrived. Apparently, people were here to "take their studies seriously" and "not horse around". Nobody wanted to try illusion magic on their instructors, or try altering people's food mid bite. What was the point of all this magic if nobody was going to use it for fun? They were all a bunch of fuddy-duddies and sticks in the mud. She had hoped there would be less of them so far from home, but no, the fuddy-duddies followed her everywhere, always ruining the fun. Now they were even talking about punishment for her "poor behaviour". It was like they had little respect for her position of privilege.

Sylvanna was broken out of her funk by the sound of an explosion from the dormitory. Rushing to take a peek, Sylvanna saw that someone had broken down the door and was making a huge stink inside. People were screaming and shouting, and the instigator seemed to be interrogating the other students. Sylvanna had no idea what was going on or why they were acting the way they were, but the sheer spectacle of it was just too funny. It was always hilarious to see things get shaken up so badly. It was the first time she had even seen such chaos since arriving at this fuddy-duddy Guild. Shortly after entering the dormitory herself, Sylvanna burst out laughing, clutching her stomach and pointing at Marius in unison. "Oh Gods..." She sputtered out between burst of laughter. "You just...I don't even....BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" She had now collapsed to the floor laughing, practically convulsing with the effort. This was the laugh she not only deserved but also needed.
