Current Lots of ideas, voices in your head? You may not be schizo, just need to find a plot and start writing.

Movie Studios don't use AI to generate scripts because they're not copywritable. My writing is mine, not the world's to play with.

I like that the Amish gives their kids a chance to decide if they want to stay in their parent's religion.

"Badgers?" he said, sweating as he heard gun hammers being cocked unseen behind him. "We ain’t got no badgers. We don’t need no badgers. I don’t have to show you any stinkin' badgers!"

Bio

I am a seven-foot tall minecraft-playing hindu guru drag-queen alien.

Possessor of an Ancient Device™ Model 17. No, I don't know what it does. No, you can't play with it.

Pronouns: It. As in: "What is it? What does it want? Why is it here? Oh my god, it's got my... <insert random body part or object here>"

Likes: World Domination, Writing, Rpg, scifi/fantasy, anime, sketchup 3d models, and anime music videos.

Companions: a host of characters from other games, my personal muse Penny (as in Bad), and the Badger gang - Toothpick, Buttons, Shark, and Mongo. They grew up in the balcony of an old theatre that played a lot of gangster movies. Normally benign, but may invade the OOC forums.

@Expendable You seem to be knowledgeable about this, so I say we'll go with your idea!

Cabins near the captain's for passengers? Some or all eating with the captain?
I take it there's some cabins for the passengers, some or all may be sharing a room. The crew traditionally sleeps under the forecastle, or may have hammocks on the lower deck. Will passengers have berthing next to the captain's cabin with the officers, or aft on the lower deck? Or slinging a hammock with the crew? We may be living in very close quarters, which Kraseawei is very used to.

I take it we'll be eating with the crew, or may some of us be dining at the Captain's table? I take it a few of us may rate that honor, but I don't see Kraseawei being invited unless it's so she might play the violin while the others are eating. A couple of silvers for the night's labors, as it were.

Kraseawei may likely spend her time on the lower deck, or on the main deck under the port side ladder leading up to the foc's'le.
@Red Wizard For your consideration.
Hey! Uh, so, I kinda wanna get back into RPing in RPGuild, and this seems right up my alley! Is there still a spot open for this, where can I find the lore, and has a character sheet been made for it yet?

See here for lore.

I think that the human blood of half-elves would be super obvious to proper elves. Maybe not so much to humans (especially if they've never seen the real deal), but an elf would never miss.

Furthermore, I don't think half-elves can produce full elves. Once the blood has been watered down, it stays that way - or detoriates further.

That's disappointing, but at least they won't have to worry who's going to babysit after they're dead.

Sorry for the delay, people. I've come down with a spell of fever. I'l finish the thread once I'm back on my feet.

okay, take care.

@Red WizardWe certainly are! Hmm... I always liked the notion that elves viewed half-elves in a sympathetic but somewhat disdainful way, like "a loveable mistake". How do you feel about that?

I can certainly see that. Half-elves grow up so fast, so they're not going to be as graceful as elves would be, and would die early - for Elves. I don't see may Elven families wanting their children to marry one - a lot of heartbreak, there. Half-elves might be encouraged to pair up with other half-elves, though. Odds are good that one child might be full elf, and one fully human.

The problem as I see it would be with appearance. If someone misses that the ears aren't quite as long, they may assume they're speaking with another adult - while that's technically true, they're still a lot younger than that adult elf.

This was established as elf lore on page 2. While I don't want to discourage you, I have to point out that some of your lore kind of falls outside of my vision for elves in this game. Was there anything in particular that you wanted to add to the game? Maybe we can work something out.

We're agreed on some of it, though. How do the elves of this world view half-elves? What's their attitude towards them? The character I'm thinking of grew up in a human orphanage before being press-ganged aboard a ship, so unlikely to encounter elves.
please let me know when the IC or character sheet is posted.

A bit of my Elf lore, part of it expanded out from regular D&D - there are the Forest elves, the Elder Elves (mind yourself around them, they're really uptight), Sea Elves (pirates beware the ships with red sails), Cave Elves (darker skin, more primitive and cannibalistic), and Frost Elves (Northern plains, small trade in Amber, very superstitious. Have been known to shrink the heads of enemies (goblins), sometimes bonding their souls to them; as well as build sacrificial altars). Still, most tend to be in tune with nature, and the males without beards or mustaches.

Most elves take a good century to mature to the point they can adventure. Adults tend to move gracefully, and are well versed in music, arts, dance and various social games. While some describe Elves as being cruel, the truth is they're more focus on their own wants and desires.

But because Elves are older than most save the dwarves, interspecies relationships with the younger races are often frowned on. Also, they grow up faster - which can lead to confusion when a half-elf meets elves socially. This has resulted in a bad reputation for half-elves.

Your nations of elves may be different.
Please ping me when you decide to make the IC.
